- Methusillah, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0A judge has ruled that peer to peer transfers are legal in Canada. So why did Demonoid cave in? If CRIA had done this then you would have heard them brag all over the news services. I've heard nothing. Why doesn't Demonoid post this alleged letter? PirateBay does it all the time. Demonoid is not forthcoming in their communications. Nor are they very truthfull. ISOhunt is in Canada, and CRIA hasn't been able to touch them. Something is rotten in in the state of Demonoid. This situation doesn't smell. It stinks to high heaven.
- TheNobleTurd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0So CIRA threatened them and they bent over? Could it really be as simple as that? Was Demonoid actually run by a group of pre-teens who pooped their collective pants because of a legal threat, even though it was clear to their ISP that hosting .torrent files was not illegal and didn't warrant taking down the site?
Fishy, smells something here...
