- Auerbeck, on 10/12/2007, -7/+257Any camwhore that gets caught with her shirt up will have an equally lame excuse, and gullible parents and rock-stupid reporters are bound to believe it.
*Camwhore* "It was. . . BULLIES! Yes . . . bullies forced me to shave my crotch and shove a camera up my ass."
*Cross-eyed reporter* "I'm on the scoop, ma'am. I'll break this story and prevent any other young women from falling prey to such villainous behavior!" - elyobelyob, on 10/12/2007, -2/+210I put on my robe and wizard hat.
- InfiniteNothing, on 10/12/2007, -3/+163This article is worthless without pics
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -9/+141... I got bullied into losing my virginity...
... I hate my old P.E. teacher. - samgab, on 10/12/2007, -2/+120Bully: Wanna cyber?
skank: Hmmm, maybe.
Bully: I am Trogdor, the burninator. Show some skin now.
skank: I don't know.
Bully: I am Trogdor, and I will burninate you unless you show me skin.
skank: Oh, okay. - Boshow, on 10/12/2007, -5/+100I don't get cyberbullying. You can't kick someone's ass via the internet, so how can you bully them? It just sounds like girls who will do anything other people say to be popular.
- LogicBomB, on 10/12/2007, -4/+98Maybe after these girls said no the bullies talked in all caps with l33t spelling? Who knows, maybe these bullies are even saying they'll hack the girl's mainframes and 'splode their CPU's?
I mean seriously, this is how it goes:
Bully: Take your clothes off, it'll be cool,
Girl: No
Bully: Commoooon
Girl: No
Bully: Well *****. - aliengoods, on 10/12/2007, -5/+82I hate camwhores. Sitting in their private chat rooms stripping and such. Now if it were public....
- Gir53457, on 10/12/2007, -1/+76I am shocked, appalled and slightly aroused.
- sctechguy, on 10/12/2007, -8/+77Pics or it didn't happen.
You knew it was going to be said sooner or later. - 7levels, on 10/12/2007, -3/+68How can females expect women to gain equality to men when people constantly make it apparent and obvious that women are subordinate to men? The stigma in America is that whenever a woman does something sexually that she regrets, it is somehow a boy's fault. According to this story, women are so easily swayed that they can be forced into getting naked by a stranger simply by talking to them on AIM.
This, of course, is not true. But until people stop patronizing women, and making them seem like creatures who only have sex when forced to, women will not be seen as 100% equal to men. How can a woman lead a country or business if she is so easily coerced into doing things she does not want to do? - fuckingunique, on 10/12/2007, -5/+68it's all about not taking responsibility for being a dumb slut.
- rubicante, on 10/12/2007, -1/+57I meditate to regain my mana, before casting Lvl. 8 ***** of the Infinite.
- LRoy12, on 10/12/2007, -4/+55i am in your webcam looking at ur b00bz
- geodescent, on 10/12/2007, -3/+48That's the most idiotic web comic I've seen in my entire life. What was the point of it?
- fatfinger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+42The Transformer, GI Joe and WWF generation wouldn't stand for that *****...... These new kids are weak!
- shak3, on 10/12/2007, -2/+30Buried as inaccurate, there are no girls on the internet.
- course6, on 10/12/2007, -1/+28Cyberbullies? hell ya, we nerds have finally come full circle.
- Wolfie351, on 10/12/2007, -9/+35This just tells me is that younger people these days are less prudish about their bodies. Hopefully, in another 20 years or so, we'll have the same view on this as Europeans...nudity is NOT a big deal.
- Sneakernets, on 10/12/2007, -1/+26Bully: TAKE OF UR CLOTHES
girl: and what if I don't?
Bully: Uhm.. I'll send U A VIRUS!!1 OOHHH!
girl : *blocks*
In other words: This is the lamest excuse yet for stripping. I'm sure the porn industry will pick it up sooner or later.
Cyber Bullying is cyber-*****. This is another "THINKOFTHECHILDREN"-like attack. - Tweekster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+25Bullies threatening girls?
yeah some guys did that at my high school once. then some of the bigger guys beat the ever living ***** out of them.
sure you can threaten the nerdy guy, but you really cant threaten a girl. you will be stomped and it doesnt matter how big you are
unless things have changed since i was in high school. you didnt want to be on the receiving end of the bigger protective guys, they might get into a clean fight here and there, but i recall one guy going a bit to far...someone curbed him - abbott75, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20"8. Make sure they get off...every once in a while."
- actionscripted, on 10/12/2007, -5/+24They didn't beat you to anything. For you to have even posted your comment you would've had to click the "reply" beneath theirs!
I'm sick of seeing "dang, beat me to it" as a RESPONSE to a comment. You're not funny, it's not clever, it's not meme-ish, it's not endearing, it's not creative, and you suck.
Phew. Though to your credit, my Digg-rant isn't quite "original" either, eh? And in the name of ungodly irony...daroach beat me to it. Sheesh. - daRoach, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19He waited as long as he could, where were you 3 hours ago?
- aphextwin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18heh, I had the same thought.. If there is not physical threat it's easy to take care of. Block them. Ignore them. Move on. It has to be a black mail thing then.
Say you did something stupid and gave this dude naked pics of yourself and he then uses it to get you to strip more.
Cyberbully: Hey I will post those naked pics of you on the internets
not so innocent teen: OH please don't
Cyberbully:send more pics then
Not so innocent teen: OK
....Is this how it works? - Tweekster, on 10/12/2007, -7/+24johntsien:
even a 10 year old should know better.
they are not incapable of thought. they are making the choice to be sluts. and if you think a 14 year old girl doesnt realize the consequences or shouldnt know better.
good luck wiht your daughters, you are gonna need it because they are gonna turn out worse than paris hilton.
people try to make teenagers out to be incapable of any thought, they make bad choices, but they are not retarded. they do know better, they choose to ignore that little thought in their head, if you think that is untrue, you just dated yourself becasue you cant even remember how you were in your teens doing things that you knew werent right, think real hard for a second
these girls are just sluts, pure and simple - gmprunner, on 10/12/2007, -6/+23@Boshow
The bullies usually know the girls personally and will threaten to harm them, their family or friends, spread lies about them, etc (typical bully-ish stuff). They just use the internet to extend the bullying from school (or where ever) into the victim's home, where they normally can't reach that person so easily. It's an extension of their bullying, not a whole new method of doing it. - SaxxonPike, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19What a shame. The article gives no cam links...er, I mean. It lacks examples, yeah.
You know, things like stripping wouldn't be such a big deal if they started doing it more often. It would become mainstream. - dielawn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19yes girls show me your stuff, you'll be very popular.
- rolosworld, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16a classic demonstration of the technique..
http://bash.org/?104383 - tomis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Stop coming up with new names for things that already exist! There's no such thing as "cyber bullying", either it's black-mail, or it's just someone being a jerk online.
I don't buy it that these girls are being black-mailed into taking their clothes off on a webcam. Just more sensationalism the media likes to stir up to sell the parents who are in denial about how their "innocent" little girl actually being a dirty little whore. Meanwhile it doesn't do anything to actually deal with the situation.
Why do girls have such a low self-worth that they think they have to take their clothes off just to get attention? First place I'd place blame is on the parents. End of story. - Gir53457, on 10/12/2007, -3/+18Buried as retard.
- Dotcommer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Yes. Now get online and strip for me or i'll slap the ***** out of you.
*pimphand* - samgab, on 10/12/2007, -6/+20NikoKun. Take off your top and send me pix, or else I'll send pix of you naked to your dad. Oh, hang on, you haven't sent them to me yet. Well, you better, or I'll slay you with my mighty weapon.
- Poovey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Big Deal. I once car jacked a man using a P.O. Box and the U.S. Postal Service.
- johndi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14This story is poorly done. It doesn't give a single example of cyberbullying. The example they give is about a boyfriend, not some scary anonymous Internet villain lurking inside girls computers frightening them out of their clothes for the world to see. Sure technology allows a pissed off ex to do more damage than ever, but that isn't what they are claiming the story is about.
I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but I doubt it is as common as they suggest. - Jimgress, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Internet: serious business
- greysun, on 10/12/2007, -6/+19"Women are equal to men, most men and women just don't act it."
Not true at all... its acting like men and women are equal that is the problem. - mr1337, on 10/12/2007, -5/+18Pics or it didn't happen.
- jellomizer, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16Parents need to learn to protect their children online.
1. If you get too scared don't cut the plug off the internet. That will only make them afraid to go to you if there is a problem. It is like taking your kid out of school because they were bullied there. The computer is usually more good then harm but when harm comes they need to feel they can trust you for help.
2. Don't give computers to kids in their own room. Leave the computer/computers in a more public setting. That way you can monitor their activity without invading in their private space. That way you can see what they are doing and they will be a lot less likely to take off their shirt in a public room in your home.
3. Teach your kids about Sex, What constitutes sexual embarrassment, rape, and other things as well. It is really far more then good touch and bad touch.
4. Make a point to learn who they are chatting/messaging to online.
5.Software/Hardware Content filters while useful are not the end all be all. Just a tool to keep you kid honest. If they want to get past it they can.
6. Explain what you want them to view and what is inappropriate.
7. Other kids are doing it. But if you feel it is wrong don't like them do it. You are a parent first a friend further down in the list.
8. Make sure they get off it every once in a while.
9. Assure they are not multi-tasking when doing homework.
10. Have the child understand they do not need to be in constant communication with their friends. - vjgx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9There's no way to actually "force" anyone to do anything merely using the internet...
- samgab, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Yeah, I wanna see some examples of what they're talking about too...
- Moocat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10You pretty much hit it on target tweek. Kids have always, and will continue to do stupid *****. No law, rules or anything you can say will actually prevent them from doing something they feel like doing. To john, the best advice I can give is to teach kids not to be such gullible retards as well as not to be a bullying dick. The only reason kids don't turn out to be murdering pyschopaths is because parents, teachers and other students instill some type of guideline or moral code if you will, that the kids run their lives on and eventually take as their own. If you want less slutism from your kids (or whatever happens to be the flavor of the week), teach them about realistic consequences associated with those actions (not some drudged up ***** like "the police will get youz, zomg!"). Personally, I was bullied, quite a bit in my younger years because I skipped a grade and was small, but I still didn't give in to stupid ***** like breaking the teachers window, carrying a gun or smoking in the school bathroom.
When it all comes down to it, nothing teaches better like a burned hand. - thewump, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Crap. How come girls weren't this stupid when I was a kid?
- Dotcommer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Ah pitty the foo... who shove a camera up their taint!
- MrColdheart, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10if anyone believes that (the majority) of these girls are forced to strip in front of a camera, then you are an idiot.
why is it so hard to beleave that a girl has enough influence to do what she likes then smile at you and make you beleave shes innocent of such thoughts and actions...
the majority of these girls dance on youtube... go spend some time on there and tell me how many of these girls look like there forced to do it. If you were that girl youd tell your dad you were forced so they wont think any less of you. - Tweekster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Wow some of the diggers are gonna be pushovers as parents. this is an OBVIOUS pass the buck move by the girls. they were stupid, they ARE slutty, they got caught....blame it on someone else.
a lot of diggers have bought it hook, line and sinker - gmprunner, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11@llanowar
OK, but there are two problems here:
1) When the victim tells their parents and the parents contact the school and/or the bully's parents, 99% of the time the bully will know who the "snitch" was (either by themselves or after a small amount of old-fashioned playground investigation) and will be inclined to bully them further with more hostility in an attempt to get back at them, not because it makes sense, but because that's how they think.
2) Telling the school/parents very rarely makes the bully stop, at least not soon. Any serious bully will not stop bullying if they get in trouble, they will simply try ever harder not to get caught, making them more of a threat than before. - WanderLink, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Oh please. You can't force someone to take their clothes off online through emails, IM, and text messaging. Burried.
- hernam19, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10would spam in my mailbox be considered an internet bully?
