- Monkeybrains, on 10/10/2007, -5/+59Listen, not a year goes by, not a year, that I don't hear about some escalator accident involving some bastard kid which could have easily been avoided had some parent - I don't care which one - but some parent conditioned him to fear and respect that escalator.
- sycsix, on 10/10/2007, -8/+59Thats what they get for wearing crocs. Seems fair.
- AnteChronos, on 10/10/2007, -1/+31"I don't think there's any room for jokes here."
You must be new here. - rhabd0mancer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+28I wear white tube socks with crocs.
I'm a fashion pioneer. - SwissCamel, on 10/10/2007, -2/+26Maybe the laces got caught?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24What a Croc of *****.
- AlphaEta, on 10/10/2007, -4/+24That's the price you pay for looking like a ***** idiot!
- fuzzmeister, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21When I first read the headline, I missed "shoes", which lead to through confusion on my part for a few seconds. Mostly, "How the hell did crocodiles get on escalators in the first place?!".
- xtmno3, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20That kid is BACK on the ESCALATOR!
- FyreGoddess, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19I have the same problem with Crocs as I do with a lot of other shoes. Just because you CAN wear them anywhere, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
In the yard, at the beach, at the pool, anywhere that's muddy and hot... sure. But why do you need to wear your Crocs to the mall? - ChromaVita, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16Dugg down for saying "I wear them"
- lickmygiggle, on 10/10/2007, -5/+17The first time I ever saw a pair of crocs, I thought the person wearing them must have been on hard times. Honestly, what the ***** are people thinking when they wear these ugly ass shoes.
These shoes are straight out of the 80's ***** retarded fashion. All you need is a mullet, a denim jacket and some slap-on bracelets to go with your crocs, and you'll be all set. - timusca, on 10/10/2007, -3/+15Little Boy: "Wow! It's a schooner!"
Willam: "You dumb bastard! That's not a schooner, it's a sailboat!"
Little Boy :"A schooner is a sailboat, stupidhead!"
Willam: "Well you know what? THERE IS NO EASTER BUNNY! OVER THERE, THAT'S JUST A GUY IN A SUIT!" - Gmasterfluffy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11That kid...is BACK ON THE ESCALATOR again!
- Ventolin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11It's cool, you can wear your crocs if you want. Just don't come crying to me when an escalator eats your feet and a bloodbath ensues.
- Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12I have a firm belief that one should never wear the same style of shoes as their 7 year old niece.
- Ventolin, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13Wrong. You can make a joke about anything. For instance, you wrote that the little girl broke her toe and lost 3 "fingernails". I lol'd!
- doktorrocket, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13Dugg UP for apparently not knowing what Crocs are. :)
- tucktan, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9i would like to see some pictures of the type of people who actually get caught in an escalator. You would have to be pretty dense, its not like you dont know the end is coming.
- monkeyrun, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9If you buy shoes that ugly, you deserve bad karma.
- ezkiel, on 10/10/2007, -4/+10how embaressing for you
- larryparis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6My little girl almost had her foot ripped in half when she was wearing crocs on an escilator. What happens is kids tap thier feet on the side of the escilator and the croc gets caught between the wall and the stair it chews the shoe and eventually the foot. My kid was pretty innocently tapping her foot then seconds later was screeming bloody murder. IT scared the crap out of me.
Here is a link to what remained of the croc. http://www.flickr.com/photos/cpmclean/1320646308/ - djpants428, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Wearing them in the garden is fine. I have no problem with that, that's what they're for. I have a problem with the large teachers I work with who somehow think that they are appropriate work attire...
- DeFex, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Crikey that croc is meaner than hell, she just got caught in an escalator!
- minorthreat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5dude it is jason lee
- kmusser, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Those kids need to learn to respect and fear that escalator!!
- moofer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Why don't you screw him in a very uncomfortable place?
- flareback, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Then you wear ugly shoes.
- chrisinsocalif, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I wonder how long it will take before someone in the USA makes a class action lawsuit over something like this.
- Mipmap, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Crocs burned my feet, horribly. Or maybe it was the acid.
- Nohj, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I don't care how comfortable crocs may be, you still look like a dumbass.
- mortigon, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Then if you really want to get crazy, wear jeans and a denim shirt under the denim jacket... complete the canadian tuxedo
- Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3And how did they manage it 40 times? In Japan?
- sweetdeals, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5speaking of little girls.. do I have a joke for you!
- deadlikeoscar, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Yes, Crocs are ugly. People that wear them to be fashionable are kind of retarded, I will give you that. However, my wife suffers from heel spurs so bad that she used to come home crying after work. She works 10 hours a day on her feet and has tried everything to correct the problem. She has had cortisone shots in her foot, expensive orthotics, some stupid foot brace she was supposed to wear at night and was on the verge of surgery. (Even though most doctors were saying it probably wouldn't help a whole lot) Since the doctors were reluctant to try surgery and insisted on giving these stupid methods that weren't helping more "time to work", she bought a pair of Crocs after a friend suggested them. They did not cure her foot pain, but it made it more than manageable. I noticed a difference in her mood immediately. She was happy when she came home and didn't have trouble walking around the house. I haven't heard her complain since she got them. I know that her feet still bother her but the difference was amazing. I recommended them to a friend at work with a wife in the same position. They took the advice and he later called me at home to tell me that his wife had told him the same thing: The Crocs made the pain manageable. I don't care if you guys make fun of the shoes. I totally understand where you are coming from. But if anyone of you are suffering from heel spurs and aren't getting the kind of treatment you need at the doctor, at least give these shoes a try.
- voicimas, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5oops, double-clicked submit. while i have the time, i'll also add that 3 of my friends consistently insult my crocs.
- Zippo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Crocs are great for people who work inside on their feet for a long time... they're comfortable.
But if you're wearing them out in public... do us a favour - don't. Not only are they ugly, but they're terribly overpriced. You look like an idiot in more ways than one.
As a Canadian, I apologize to the world for crocs. - bitspace, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4Oh you have a problem. It might not involve escalators, but there's a problem for sure.
- CasualAffair, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5I am still to this day, in my adult life, a little nervous when I get to the end of an escalator. :X
- Mearn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Somebody missed the story about the clowns getting shot.
- Ventolin, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5The guys at the bait shop wear Croc shoes. That is the ONLY reason to wear those ugly pieces of crap.
- omnithought, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Crocs look so white trash to me. It's like someone cut up a tire or an orange cone and slapped it on their feet.
- duggtodeath, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I'm Chris Hansen...why don't you take a seat over there?
- TheDHC, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2lol you wear crocs
- omnithought, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Docs>Crocs
- moofer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Dugg for the Carol Channing Comment
- exomni, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2This just in: crocs are ugly as hell.
- moofer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2That's because it's far too convenient to hose off the mint-flavored KY Jelly at the end of a hard night.
- osko2052, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Have you realized how many more hits they are getting on the crocs website because of all the free publicity you are giving them?
