If you get discovered after the fact, you're in slightly less trouble. If he only has mild suspicions and you admit the truth, only a small amount of trouble. If, several years later, you admit the truth willingly (as we're starting to do now that the parental statue of limitations is expiring on some things), he just laughs and shakes his head.
In any case, if what you did makes him bust out laughing or genuinely impresses him to the point where he wants to see how you did what you did, then you're not in trouble. My brothers and I got away with more than one or two incidents because he was more interested in how we made something work than he was in punishing us for doing something that might be considered dangerous. Especially considering they're using they're heads to build something that supplies them with a ***** load of good clean fun. (pun intended) Joke about it if you like but one of these guys will probably go on to design roller coasters and make big bucks ! Great editing too.
