These aren't the droids you're looking for. - TobiasParker, on 07/18/2009, -0/+57How many CEOs dream of the day when they will get to say something like that.
- levitron, on 07/18/2009, -0/+45Typical science-related story cycle:
-Company comes up with amazing new technology.
-Reporters/editors decide it's not flashy enough.
-Reporters/editors extrapolate an aspect of the technology to an absurd end, and make that the main thrust of their article.
-Public reacts as expected.
-Scientists desperately try to set the record straight. - palehorse864, on 07/18/2009, -0/+38Soylent Green Energy

- Cerin, on 07/18/2009, -0/+34Crap. I pre-ordered a bunch of their robots last week. Now what am I going to do with all this flesh!?
- Headinawheel, on 07/18/2009, -0/+28It's never the mission to create flesh eating robots, it's just something that happens along the way to creating Skynet.
- doublefelix, on 07/18/2009, -1/+24The whir of my robomower will never sound the same to me again. Brraaaaaaiiiiiii.....
- JSager, on 07/18/2009, -1/+18In related news, Professor Farnsworth has definitively declared "There is no such thing as a were-car!"
- NoozeHound, on 07/18/2009, -1/+18What public concern? Everyone I know has been rubbing their hands together urging Skynet and the Matrix and any other techno-horror fantasy to commence right about now.
- RevXwise, on 07/18/2009, -0/+17Wow. I was really surprised to see this wasn't an Onion article.

- brandnewx, on 07/18/2009, -0/+12Nah once it tastes human flesh and blood, it won't be a vegetarian no more.
- jgzman, on 07/18/2009, -2/+13I'm sorry, an autonomous military robot that can self-refuel on biomass?

- cJw314, on 07/18/2009, -0/+10Did they REALLY have to name the ***** EATR?!
The fact that it feeds on grass clippings gives me an idea; let the little ***** mow my lawn for me. :D - inactive, on 07/18/2009, -1/+11So, Skynet lies...

- Mujokan, on 07/18/2009, -0/+8I love his understated sarcasm.
- falser, on 07/18/2009, -0/+8Instead of saying they don't eat flesh they could've just said:
"Don't worry, we have written a Fourth Directive that prevents the robot from directly, or indirectly eating a human being." - inactive, on 07/18/2009, -3/+10Oh yes I feel so much safer knowing the robots that eat are vegetarians...
Of course a hungry robot may want to try new things.... Like HUMANS!!!!
WTH are they thinking we R dooooooomed aaaaaahhh!!!!! - norman619, on 07/18/2009, -1/+8They made a robot that eats vegetarians?
- BillOrly, on 07/19/2009, -0/+7why the ***** did I just translate every one of those comments?

- MindStalker, on 07/18/2009, -0/+5You know what will be hallarious. When skynet finally becomes real and it realizes all it has is a few drones in its arsenal and most of the US nuclear weapons are still on analog systems. It will also have hell of a time with manufacturing, most of the plants in the US aren't reconfirable and would have to be significantly retooled for their death machines. HAAH.
We'd old school nuclear strike all our computerized plants (mostly in china) and just laugh at Skynet.. - skipvt, on 07/18/2009, -0/+5Vegetarian, until it rejects it's programming and decides humans are a virus...
- Mujokan, on 07/18/2009, -0/+5Many said I was too extreme when I first called for the annihilation of the human species, as well as some of the more cunning monkeys.
But after living on Earth I can tell you that I am, if anything, too merciful! - popzero, on 07/19/2009, -0/+501000011 01110101 01110010 01101001 01101111 01110011 01101001 01110100 01111001 00101110 00101110 00101110 00100000 01010010 01100101 01110011 01101001 01110011 01110100 01100001 01101110 01100011 01100101 00100000 01101001 01110011 00100000 01100110 01110101 01110100 01101001 01101100 01100101 00101110

- Myztry, on 07/18/2009, -0/+3So where do they keep the robots when they aren't working? In a paddock with the cows...
