- dziban303, on 10/12/2007, -4/+80I liked how coke smelled, so I sniffed it all the time.
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -3/+79I think gasoline smells alright as well. But I doubt many agree with me.
- Toshibi, on 10/12/2007, -3/+32"I liked how coke smelled, so I sniffed it all the time."
Everytime I try to sniff coke the ice cubes get caught in my nose. - reddevil3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+29You aren't even trying.
- nixr, on 10/12/2007, -2/+29@ tidu
I agree. Gasoline does smell good. I am also quite fond of the smell of a campfire. However when I tried to combine the two it ended up smelling like singed hair for some reason. That's not a good smell. - utkwes, on 10/12/2007, -3/+29Anyone else like the smell of a burnt match as much as I do?
SuckMyDigg beat me to it I guess... unless he's talking about matches and pot mixed together. lol - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+28"Why does YOUR finger smell like HIS ass?"
-strangers with candy - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+27I think it smells good, people think it's weird of me.
- Soave, on 10/12/2007, -2/+23Add another vote for gasoline. Everyone says it smells terrible, but I've got to disagree.
- rodzilla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+21heh, look at all you people smelling the coins in your pockets. Just think, some of those could be my ass pennies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pydv5VHQyPI
- nixr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
- wingnut21, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11I like how old basements smell. *shrug*
- gharding, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7As Fark would say.. still no cure for cancer.
- GoodBrain, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6A curious one?
- DrunkenPirate34, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8You must of been high when your wrote that!
"o and the article is interesting is interesting too ;)" - sparks2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6"In an experiment, seven test subjects reported smelling the metallic odor after their hands came into contact with iron. "
Seven people only!? Out of how many people? ... strange experiment if you ask me - chapium, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5After swimming for many years, I love the smell of chlorine. Bleach smells great as a cleaner. You might need to dilute it a bit so its not asphyxiating.
- matrix0f8h, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5 I get the same thing from my guitar strings.
- trogdoor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Kind of like how people say that bases are 'slippery', thats not really true, the reason that bases feel slippery between your fingers is because they have turned a small portion of your skin into soap, with gloves on, bases aren't slippery.
- FishyJoe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5This is why I try to buy everything with credit cards.
- mcc123, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5tidu: This guy agrees with you. :-)

- aleahey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Well thank god they finally solved THAT mystery.
- knightblade2oo4, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4yeah man no *****, that's why i specifically said "the artificial scent they add"
- hewjazz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I like the smell of ***** or *****..Most any other ***** is terrible.
- knightblade2oo4, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7i like the artificial scent they add to natural gas... not sure why.
- Spikito, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7i kinda like the way skunks smell, if its faint, and why isnt burnt matches on here, thats the best
- bdrydyk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Gasoline is good but napalm in the morning takes the cake.
- mage1129, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I got a better experiment, you can usually smell a guy's keys from a girl's keys by the strength of said odor. It is not 100% accurate, but gave me and a friend a good laugh letting girls know their keys smell like guys keys.
- obviouslyshane, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3What kind of scientist comes up with a hypothesis like this?
- w0rd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Dugg up just because it was so off the wall weird of you to say that. Good times.
- afruff23, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Wait a sec...Iron GAINS electrons? I've taken basic chem, and this goes against what I ahve learned so far. Metals lose electrons in ionic bonds or are dispersed in a sea of electrons in metallic bonding.
- w0rd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah, I like the skunky smells too. I like the smell of a freshly opened skunky beer. Heineken's are good for that.
- jasonvsweemin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0now i know
- afruff23, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I understand that, but it takes much energy for metals to gain electrons, which ahve a natural tendency to lose electrons.
- logicnazi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Iron's good but nothing beats bactine.
- avktm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1nice link i enjoyed that, man i just counted $300 worth of pennies the other day and I'm glad washed my hands five times after
- chapium, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2How does something become negatively charged then if it cannot gain electrons?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5The gas is odorless, but they add the smell so you know when there's a leak.
- aleahey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1East Germany?
- GoodBrain, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1What coins are made of IRON?
I get the smell from pennies. In fact, I remember it from when I was a kid, back when they were all copper (not copper coated zinc). - jimoc, on 01/16/2008, -0/+0you are an idiot !!
grow the hell up - LustHog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I'm glad a team of scientists are examining pennies and working so hard on this very important issue.
- triforcer, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2house paint and the cardboard boxes from frozen foods i try avoiding the fumes of the house paint as much as i can, but when i do smell it i find myself tolerant of the chemical smell.
- starguy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0BLEACH. I'd like to take a pole on BLEACH. Bleach fumes really burns my nose with a very chemical smell, yet other people seem not to be bothered by it. And it doesn't go away when the fumes are removed, it really smells very chemically toxic.
The smell of cat poo also makes me instantly want to hurl (throw up). I have to hold it a mile away from me and downwind whenever removing it with some shovel or something. There's no fighting the reaction, the smell makes me instantly want to throw up. I imagine some kind of gas bomb could be made out of this. I once replicated the smell by putting a bunch of bogus spices from a spice rack on a generic pizza that had no business being in there. I had to fling the pizza out in to the yard.
How many others react in the same way, or to other such smells. - OneDunya, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0You would think that scientist would find better things to spend money on studying.
- Roger, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4I like the way airline luggage smells.
- elroy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Ummmmm.... what country has coins made of iron?
- TheKoopaBros, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Nifty.
I don't mind the smell, but most people can't stand it. It is certainly a weird thing to prove/investigate, but meh. Its all good. - DigeratiPrime, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1wtf?
