- marnaq, on 10/12/2007, -4/+84In Soviet Russia, Churches buy porn domains! O_o
- Ltgeo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+79Oh dear god! ...@Scotty I wish I'd read your entire post before clicking the link...*cries*
- Jibberwalk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+77Would it be wrong to make a joke about getting... nailed?
- Ookware, on 10/12/2007, -6/+73@scotty588
Can't get any more "in christ" than that - zenb, on 10/12/2007, -14/+56How fitting... old church site becomes a gay porn site. I'm sure some priests are happy
- logic, on 10/12/2007, -2/+25Done. Don't want anyone noticing I visited a site with "christ" in the URL.
- Gravedigger2000, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24It's being dugg down because it has nothing to do with the story.
Shoo little trolls... I'm sure there's another "Creation vs Science" article on the home page for you do pound your drum near. - Pottersquash, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22@nathan
gay porn is by definition funny. it just is and jokes concerning gay porn MUST be made when available... - kweee, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17The old URL:
http://www.life-in-christ.net/ (NSFW!!! NSFAnywhere!!!)
It does a 301 permanent redirect to the porn site. - unloud, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12You make it sound like being immature is abnormal for diggers.
- dmsean, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16Because of 1500+ years of persecution for NOT believing in that stupid god of yours
- foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13"He said the Internet company told him pornographic sites often like to buy Web addresses once used by churches."
Wow... smart bastards - City, on 10/12/2007, -6/+18Nephi, Laman, and lemuel always remembered to renew their domains!!!
It even says so in 1 Nephi 2:15 - alej744, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14PWN3D!!!!!!!
- skim1420, on 10/12/2007, -6/+17I admit I'm writing this without knowing anything about the church.. why is everyone celebrating this? Churches are also a community support mechanism in many ways. Not to be a dick but I really don't find it amusing that someone defaced such an organization.
Not such a savvy argument, but something here just feels really immature.. - krux, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12A gay porn site... now that's comedy!
- Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10I think we're missing the real story here...
Gay porn site suffers from Digg effect. Kevin Rose's true goal with Digg.com met. - ICSU, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13It must have been god's will for sure.
- alej744, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10This is going on Diggnation for sure =D
- jer2eydevil88, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10I dugg you up after seeing lettuce's reaction to your joke. He must be glad the grand canyon was formed by Noah's Ark and not some confusing geological discovery that might make more sense.
- JorgeGonzalez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I went to Catholic school K-8, two different schools. First school, the bishop and a priest were kid touchers. I have friends messed up for life because of it. Second school, the two priests embezzled millions from the congregation to buy cars and real estate for themselves. MILLIONS. So please, shut up.
- jer2eydevil88, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Here is to hoping the GOP forgets to renew their domain.
- orientis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7The connection has timed out.
The server at www.life-in-christ.net is taking too long to respond.
hahahaha knock-on digg effect! - JorgeGT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Watch this for an answer, you different person: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4fQA9mt-Mg

- dmsean, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Re: jesusnet
You're an anal baby. Your dad told your mom she wouldn't get pregnant if he did her in the ass. - UNEXPLODEDduck, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7oh god, i wish i hadn't clicked that link
- ZeroMP, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5You think THAT is ugly??
Check out their Youth Page: http://web.archive.org/web/20060517153742/www.life-in-christ.net/YouthPage.html
Fantastic choice for a background color: "#996633" I'm sure the kids love it. - nofxjunkee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Ah sweet irony. Imagine all the people who were in hot water when they told friends and relatives to check out the church that saved them and changed their lives, only to be thoroughly chewed out later by those friends and relatives because they got their whole family together and were greeted by men having sex at the website.
A porn site takes over for almost every domain that expires... it's actually kind of surprising that we haven't seen this happen to a church before. - Pottersquash, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6who said this church was religious extremist? they took it all in good humor,
Why are you so afraid of another's faith? - 5xSTUN, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Moral of the story is clear... buy your domain name for as many years ahead as you can, and use an email address that you'll always have, like one at GMail or at Yahoo or something. Also, filter any email coming from the registrar's own domain name to be marked "Urgent" and to never be marked as spam. Don't ever use email at a domain name as the contact address for the domain name or as the email address on the account you have at the registrar where the domain name is held. If anything happens to your domain name, email sent to addresses at that domain won't get through, and you'll be in the dark. So, for instance, if your domain name is "puppyzoneone.com," don't use "joe@puppyzoneone.com" as the contact email address for either the domain itself or as the account address for the registrar where you bought and/or renewed it. I know this from personal experience... don't get burned like I have.
- knite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4you guys might wanna clear your history to prevent awkward confrontations...
- JorgeGonzalez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Actually, if I wasn't adopted by my gay parents, I would've died by the age of one in the Chinese orphanage I was dropped off at.
- netburnr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4It is not a hosting company or ISP's responsibility to renew a domain for you. Thats why you should register your domain with a registrar and then point it to the name servers of your host, so that YOU always control your domain, and have the tools to renew.
Like GoDaddy, they even have a feature that will automatically renew your domain if it expires, to avoid just this sort of thing. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+35. Hilarity ensues!
- TomRitchford, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I think most atheists, agnostics, pagans, pantheists and such would be very very happy to just be left alone.
Since a great volume of Christians will not do that, and in fact go out of their way to make people who do not share their beliefs into second-class citizens, the least we can do is to get a few laughs when self-righteous and intolerant Christians are brought low. - coollettuce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3nah i totally believe in intelligent design, im for environmentalism, i dont have a problem with gay people, and im very open minded, its just i know a lot of very nice priests and i dont like how people generalize priests like that. theres evil in all religions. and i wouldnt consider myself a totally devout catholic, i dont believe a lot of the stuff they say.
- UberNick, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7book of mormon ftw!
- dmsean, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5We're doing the lords work here! seriously.....he came to divide, not unite.
- kindrobot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The opposite happened a few years back with a site called eargasm. When the domain expired, a church seemed to take it over (or was it a redirect?). Now the site just displays a "hear no evil" banner, which could be anything.
- ThrasherC, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Holy crap I wish I hadn't clicked on that. *Note to self -- read entire post before clicking links.*
- jcaino, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3man...they should have at least had transfer locked so they would have had some leeway time. shame.
- teamgwho, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4dude, they don't do so in peace, and that's the problem. it is the basic tenet of most religions to go forth adn convert the non-believers. by force if necesary. the bible is awash with stories of how god told the israelites to go forth and destroy the babylonians, hittites, moabites, and on & on,,, end lest we not forget the crusades themselves where they ran awash over persia and took back jerusalem. and of course the spanish inquisition has to rank pretty high, where if you didn't proclaim yourself catholic you were tortured and killed.
and then we have the muslims who think they need to blow people up if they do not follow the prophet muhamed.
are these the practices of all christians, muslim, etc etc? no.
but don't tell me for a moment that any religion is peaceful. never has, never will be. -
