- kashtuek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just curious, how does an infant get herpes?
- RossEwidge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why doesn't her mother keep praying to god instead of asking PEOPLE to help? That ALWAYS works.
- jul45ie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hi, I am Christy's mom Julie. I am so touched by everyone that has opened their hearts to me and my daughter Christy. It has been so overwhelming for me and in the same sense wonderful. It has been a difficult time for the two of us, but knowing that there are wonderful people like you out there supporting us and helping is a wonderful blessing.
Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Julie
I will try to keep you updated on her condition and how she is doing . If anyone wants to know more please e-mail me at kcob57@cox.net. I would love to correspond with anyone. - IronCannibal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0rossewidge - her mother knew nothing about the blog until I finished it and my wife told her tonight. Julie has devoted her life to her daughter (obviously) and helping other parents with special needs children. She wants everyone to know that she is thankful for your prayers and concern.
Unfortunately, Christy will never get better. She no longer has a working stomach, hence the TPN. Earlier this year, she had surgery to remove / close off her stomach and bowels. It's not known how much time Christy has left. She almost died twice this year already, but she's a trooper and keeps pulling through.
My hope is that this blog garners enough attention and donations to at least take away the financial worries that Julie has, at least for a short period of time, so that she can spend more time with her daugher. - mrection, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0look it up - "herpes may be transmitted during childbirth, which can be fatal to the infant"

I just put my 2 year old son to bed... I can't imagine how I'd feel if this were a story about him. My heart goes out to the Christy and her family. - meanyhead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Good luck! Hope my link helps and hopefully others continue linking to it!
