- HerbSolo, on 10/12/2007, -11/+90Ok, they found a pervert on the internet (duh!)
And - what's their conclusion? - Parents have to spy on their children's internet activity! - Uh - great idea - no - wait - do 14 year olds usually hang out with sweaty 40 year olds on myspace? - i guess not, 30 year old mums disguised as 14 year olds do that.
Don't spy on your kids, teach them to be carefull. - bouche, on 10/12/2007, -1/+41sweet wordpress blog!

There is a world of difference between respectfully monitoring and spying. Spying is reading all of your kids messages and whatnot. Respectfully monitoring is knowing everyone your kid talks with online, knowing how they know them, etc. In my opinion (I'm not even a parent myself), offline parenting methods should simply carry over into their online activities.
"do 14 year olds usually hang out with sweaty 40 year olds on myspace?"
Not usually, but... These guys have plenty of real underage girls on their friend lists. It's not all "30 year old mums disguised as 14 year olds". - steal_apps01, on 10/12/2007, -1/+25Well, one things for sure Chip had a teeny wee-wee
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24"And - what's their conclusion? "
After hitting the front page of digg, it's going to reach the top 10. - Silentshadow900, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21Yeah, that makes no sense.
Parents, watch your ***** kids, or they're going to get in trouble. It's a universal truth. - HerbSolo, on 10/12/2007, -5/+23Well, that depends on the age.
I think, 14 year olds won't like what you call "respectful monitoring", at least most of them won't. That's usually about the age where they start to rebel against their parents, and not respecting their privacy will only make it worse, there's nothing teenagers hate more than being treated like little children.
The only way to save your kids from those bastards is: tell them about them, and teach them to be cautious. - runningapathy, on 10/12/2007, -5/+22Looks like Congressman Mark Foley (R-FL) has some competition...
Better tell the congressional Pages to hide.
just don't let him text message the kids. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19For *****'s sake just link to the damn video!
I'm sick of the hordes of bloggers who can't take the traffic and think their opinion is important.
Nobody gives a *****. Deliver the goods. - Louis11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17My images where censored out, did you meet him in person ;-)
- Silentshadow900, on 10/12/2007, -3/+18It's their own fault. They should be humiliated, as a lesson and an example to all who would try and rape children. Sick bastards.
- Spanktacular, on 10/12/2007, -4/+18Taking advantage of the lack of experience and lack of knowledge, and lack of ability to grant consent is ***** evil. It's not the fault of the girls being hunted by sexual predators, as you so disgustingly imply...
Basically, you just need to ***** off and die. - Spanktacular, on 10/12/2007, -3/+171. It's not entrapment if the sexual predator initiates sexual conversations first.
2. Police women don't need to actually be prostitutes for prostitution stings to be legal and effective police work.
3. You're basically using The Nambla Defense, and that's really, really nauseating.
4. This actually isn't a version of people freaking out simply because a keyboard and mouse are involved. Warning your kids against strangers on-line should be just the same as warning them against strangers in meatspace. While there are several videos and news programs that tackle this particular subject with a silly amount of fear mongering, this amateur video doesn't really do that at all. - amnesiac, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17Yeah you're right. Hey everyone, let's stop being so mean to the criminal child molesters..
- hhOwArdrOarKk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Chip is that you?
- Chompy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12"The kids who fall prey to internet predators all mostly wanted it anyways."
What, is NAMBLA astroturfing Digg now? - Pattyo13, on 05/14/2009, -2/+13it's called *intent*
- exsst, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13@carnytrash.. but she is pretty, are you saying you wouldn't ***** her if you knew she was 18?
These people could have lied about the girl in the image, do they *REALLY* know she was 14?.. To me she looks 17. It's 16 for the legal age to have sex in the UK so yeah, I can pretty much say I'd ***** her too, knowing she was 16.
Don't you ***** lie and tell me you wouldn't ***** her, because she's damn sexy, and if she said to you "yes I'm 16/18 - depending where you live" you would not hesitate either. - tower31, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Ahron, you are one stupid *****...
- tominator1983, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11To quote a phrase I think most of you are familiar with, "Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate."
Fear is a byproduct of a lack of understanding. Hate never fixes anything.
If you take a step back from this whole picture, you have to wonder why Chip did these things.
If he really does have a "tiny weenie", like the movie implies, you have to wonder how many women rejected him in the past. You have to wonder about the psychological damage and pain he lives with every day, and you have to wonder if that's why he's looking for someone so young. Could it be that he merely longs for validation and acceptance? Does he think that maybe, just maybe, he can only receive this from a female who has never seen a normal sized weenie?
Why do you think the whole concept of virginity has been a big deal in so many cultures and religions? The biggest reason is that men with small weenies felt more secure if their wives had never experienced something bigger and better.
Now look at the world we live in today. How many 20 year old good-looking virgins do you know? There aren't many. For that matter, there aren't even that many good-looking 17 year old female virgins! Go hang out with some highschoolers and you'd be surprised at how early they're having sex with each other. It's nuts. No wonder all these predators with tiny weenies are going after younger and younger girls online.
Yes, this whole situation with Chip and online predators is obviously wrong and many innocent children can end up hurt, but it's also sad. I wonder if there's anything that can be done to help these people attain normalcy and be productive in society? - Phatt138, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Phatalbert:
"You just kids to not be dumbasses. The kids who fall prey to internet predators all mostly wanted it anyways."
See, the thing is, we take a lot of steps to protect children from things that an older, more experienced person might be able to avoid on their own. For instance, we don't let them drink alcohol. Or drive. Or date men twice their age. Is this because they're all 'dumbasses?'
Children, teenagers included, have a neurological innability (and I'm not being mean here...it's a physiological truth) to make the best of choices. In fact, even with the restrictions put on them as is, plenty find ways of ruining their lives forever. We disallow certain things because we know that they simply lack the experience and judgement to always do the right thing, and if we save even one young girl from life-altering molestation by an older man - even if it's something she's rationalized to herself to the point that she's willing to go along with it - then we've done her a real service.
See, predators understand kids just fine, and that's the problem. They know where their weaknesses lie, they know how to treat them in a way that's superficially gratifying, and they use the leverage of their own adult experience to wedge their way into the life of a fragile person who instantly identifies with anyone who seems to 'really understand' them. This is the first step to leeching them for all their worth.
And what if, as you posit, they DO seem to 'want it,' or accept these innappropriate advances? I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that 14 year-old girls who want to act as faceless sexual objects to much older, unattractive men already have some personal issues. Are we to let them continue making irrevocable choices because they've already suffered some identity issues? Is passing angst a good reason to allow them to REALLY change the course of their lives?
In other words, don't be a dick. If people could all protect themselves all of the time, at any age, we wouldn't need the word 'victim.' If you got away clean, good for you - we can all be thankful for that - but don't mistake the intentions of those who didn't. - friend18, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9In the video he says something like "heres the video you asked me to do"
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+19GJ, portray a slutty 14 year old who pretends to like videos of a 40 year old jacking off and you'll GET WEIRD 40 YEAR OLDS SENDING YOU VIDEOS!
I love how at the end she wonders why the police haven't done anything. Gee, maybe because you BROKE THE LAW BY POSTING ALL OF THAT? Not to mention that theyve made all of that evidence they posted completely useless by posting it online.
Im not sure who's stupider, soccer moms or blondes. OH WAIT, THERE'S ONE OF EACH IN THIS VID! - istrikelast, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12I'm gonna drop my .02 in here.
Not to defend sexual predators, but how is this guy a predator? I mean, the women he was chatting with were adults faking as kids. Granted, this man should MAYBE get hit up with obsenity charges, but if you want to get technical about it, he broke no law.
Also, and I'd like to point out right now that I am in NO WAY defending sexual predators, perverts, or am I bashing the right-to-consent laws. But I will play devil's advocate to make a point. Hope I don't offend.
These girls were flirting with him and totally playing up the sex on their end. In fact, in the video he mentions that the girls had asked for pictures and videos. This man was pretty explicit and very straightforward and the girls could have stopped it at any moment and stopped all contact, changed email addy's moved myspace's, alerted someone, whatever..
the point is: the girls (let's assume they were real 14yo girls and not adults for a sec) made a huge mistake by not stopping it at an earlier stage or when it became EXTREMELY obvious what Chip's intentions were. I'm 23 and work in retail and see kids of all ages all day and hear them talk to eachother and to me all day. They're smarter then the media portrays them and in a situation like this, they would have definitly been able to make the judgement call to tell an adult or push it forward in hopes of having sex with an "older fella".
It's not fair to place all the blame on the predators when the girls and "victims" are enabling the predators so much.
If this Chip guy had forced these videos and pictures upon the "young girls" I would feel different. But it seems like it was all consenual, yet illegal due to the age.
My Solution: Educate kids about online dangers. And then parent them better to keep them from WANTING to have sex with an older bloke. - Spanktacular, on 10/12/2007, -6/+14You're an evil ***** bastard if you'd have sex with a child.
There's simply no room for discussion on this point. None. - istrikelast, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Oh and one more thing...
there's ALOT of stuff left out of this video/story. Like how they found eachother in the first place and timestamps of all this stuff. I mean for all we know, these "internet crusaders" could have initiated contact and started the flirty behavior that eventually led to comments like "15th Birthday *****".
This Chip guy is probably some poor shmuck who can't get any action who saw an opportunity for himself, even if it was illegal.
If the guy was picked then it hardly fits the definition of "predator" - flernk, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12"You don't need any sort of regulation or even parental involvement to keep kids away from internet predators... The kids who fall prey to internet predators all mostly wanted it anyways."
That kind of backwards thinking makes me ill. You're an idiot. - asurroca, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I'm guessing that's why the police never even sent a response. When the FBI goes around posing as teens to lure sexual predators, they've done all the paperwork to make sure they can try the case later. It appears this was just a few amateur ladies going all "neighborhood crime watch" on this guy.
- ScnnrDrkly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6For a sound engineer I would have expected the quality of the webcam audio to be a lot better.

- bennop, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Interesting stuff. Someones gotta play the devils advocate here and ask: How easy would it be to set that whole thing up to look like he is a child pervert, when he really just made some racey vids for his adult partner? (I could only watch the vid without audio so I don't know if there was anything else incriminating)
But seriously...its pretty easy to set ppl up. - Pattyo13, on 05/14/2009, -0/+6@friend: didn't catch that - if that's the case, i'd say it's awful entrapment-ish
- carnytrash, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Chip, is that you? Sorry about your teeny weenie.

- exsst, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Do you really think most guys are not like this?.. reality check, guys ***** anything, especially when they're drunk.
Most guys - as long as the girl looks old enough, and actually 'wants' sex, then he will go for it..
These women could spend the rest of their lives doing this, but they don't realize that they themselves are human beings and unable to stop certain thoughts, it is natural human instinct to find mates. Most older guys like younger females because there is more chance that they will reproduce, giving a baby to the female and therefore- carrying on their genes.
Ever heard of 'MILFS'.. 'DILFS'?
If not, then look it the ***** up, because you have a lot to learn, but you already knew this anyway, you were just being ignorent to look good and be socially accepted by the rest of the diggers who just put on a good act.
The fact is, we have no control over who we like, it is down to genetics, what our mind thinks will be best for carrying on our own DNA.
Milf stands for Mother I'd Like To *****, and it basically relates to younger guys wanting an older mother to *****... look it up on wiki, this is down to genetics once again.
Dilf stands for, Dad I'd Like To *****, again, this is the same as the above, but for girls who want to ***** dads, this is due to the matureness, and the more chances of successfully carrying on their genetic DNA for another life time.
There are many others let me tell you, so do some ***** research before spouting a lot of ***** that you know is wrong.
p.s. sorry to burst your buuble, but get to reality for *****. - lydecker, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7What the parent should be wishing is that they'd warned their child to beware of internet strangers- just like they do about those in their neighborhood. Tracking what they do online is a like following your kids around town when they are out with their friends or others. Because you can, doesn't mean you should.
Build trust with your kids, and earn respect - friend18, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I went to myspace.com/something and it isn't this "Chip" guy.
- shibbay, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6You mean (D-FL) :)
- krellor, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8You are seriously misguided if you think it is ok to have sex with a minor just because they are willing. I do however also dislike the TV shows because they often times give rise to vigilantes who try and harm those caught on tape. I am all for prosecuting, and when possible, rehabilitating these people, but demonizing them in the public eye is not the right or moral thing to do either.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I am in no way defending this guy, but I don't like to see things like this put online and here's why:
One of the nice things about living in a civilised country is that people are innocent until proven guilty. No matter how horrendous the crime, the criminal has a right to a fair trial.
By exposing this guy online, the creators of this video essentially bypassed these rights. As a result of this video, this guy has become publicly shamed, and his employer has been informed which will probably result in him losing his job. I don't think that anyone would argue that this is punishment. To me, posting a video like this would be like shooting your neighbor because the police wouldn't respond to your calls.
Also, the video is obviously going to be a one sided because it was made by a few people with the intent of exposing and shaming a person. Weather these people (who made the video) had good intentions or not, they were there for the purpose of baiting pedophiles, which will make the video biased weather they want to or not.
Finally, if the police arrested someone they would have the ultimate goal of having the person rehabilitated and becoming able to function in society. The people who made this video had the intent of shaming this man, with no long term solution for this particular case. - Pattyo13, on 05/14/2009, -0/+4"some crazy teenager"...
i'd still want to know when he got pics and vids of old man wang - Wenz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Anyone "tipped" Fox yet?
- jonj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3if they were real 14 year old girls, their myspace pages would be "private", and this guy would have never found them.
- exsst, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6You know what I'm going to do?.. Pose as a younger boy, much younger... 10 years old.. I'm going to ask these "14 year old girls" for pics of them.. many more pictures and then talk about sex with them... I am then going to foward my case to the police and state that these women are posing as 14 year old girls and that going by their standards of practise, it should put the women posing illegally as someone else in jail.
It works both ways. - Pattyo13, on 05/14/2009, -0/+3i'm not expert but it would seem like entrapment if the moms were like "hey send me some pics of your small wang", but if he just talked about how he wanted to "give them a 15th bday romp" out of the blue, then he's the perv.
- olddirtycr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Honestly for all we know these two fake 14 year old mom crusaders messaged him first, suggested sex, basically entrapped him and brought him into something he would never have done before. It's entrapment and i think its retarded.
For all we know he was a relativily honest man who would never hurt / rape / molest a girl or woman and got snagged into this by over-zealous "crusaders".
Now im not saying this is the case with this story, but its happened before and its quite possible. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4"I'm all or him getting caught but isn't this entrapment?
Yep, but keep in mind whenever you include "sexual predator", it plays with people's emotions and they develop a lynch-mob style hate that makes unethical methods of catching people like this somehow justified.
The guy is messed up, no doubt, but the methods used to catch him are shady. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Hey, get off my ***** myspace.
- steal_apps01, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3shhhhh... no one's supposed to know.
- exsst, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Are you ***** stupid?.. humans *****, thats what happens.
Want to know why they *****?.. becuase thats what humans do. Sure, some age differs, but that's down to extenral factors, and the outcome of what we become are all apart of everyone else.
Do you honestly feel that the media doesn't advertise and show off young girls who are below 18 as a sex object?.. you must be ***** out of your mind... and don't even get me started with the ever decreasing age that clothing companies go for that advertise 'sexually orientated clothing' for girls as young as 8 years old.
Clothing companies (some particular ones) sell thongs to 7 year old girls, do you not think this is as bad as this guys behaviour?.. I'd say it's far worse, but you know what?.. They aren't "directly" doing the crime, so they aren't affected.
***** the stupid law we have and the insane standards we let our businesses have, and ***** the two owmen who are so ***** short-sighted it is unbelivable. -
