- doctorfungi, on 10/10/2007, -4/+394How crazy do you have to be to have CHARLES MANSON call you "too crazy".
That's like Richard Simmons tell you that you're too gay. - IADTatami, on 10/10/2007, -2/+188Richard Simmons is somehow gayer than two guys having sex with each other.
- TheDHC, on 10/10/2007, -7/+153the cult of scientology is a criminal organization, i refuse to call it a "church" or "religion"
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+131so he was a straight shooter before he set foot in a scientology office? wow, thats efficient work on their part.
- openthewell, on 10/10/2007, -9/+130As crazy as he is, Manson hasn't actually killed anyone himself. He got retards to do it for him. Too bad he hadn't killed off Scientology when he had the chance, lol.
- gjmcnamee, on 10/10/2007, -3/+97He didn't murder anyone. He told others to murder. He was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder.
- JimmyTheClam, on 10/10/2007, -0/+87Charles Manson might be crazy be he ain't stupid.
Maybe Scientology gave him the idea to start his own cult?
My mother once left me with a few of the Manson girls (and one guy with a cowboy hat and a guitar) to keep an eye on me for about 15 minutes while she had to run into the Safeway grocery store in Simi Valley. This was a few months before the killings. I was about 4 and they were very nice and mom gave them two dollars for their trouble.
True story. To this day I still tease her about that. - Kulas, on 10/10/2007, -2/+69I've said it once and I'll say it again, Scientology was created by a science fiction author!! End of discussion.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+60(Richard Simmons)=gay^2
- mhockey14221, on 10/10/2007, -1/+56If you were to plot the gayness of Richard Simmons over time, even the plot wouldn't be straight!
- shamos, on 10/10/2007, -7/+59please let me digg this twice.
- superdupergc, on 10/10/2007, -2/+49so by that logic, sqrt(richard simmonds) = gay,
so even down to his roots, he's gay. i guess we already knew that. - MammasMilk, on 10/10/2007, -1/+48"Earl" is a scientologist?!?!? Man, my day just got ruined.
- Suplyndmnd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+46Hopefully you mention it on mothers day "Yeah, i only got you a card for Mothers day but I didn't leave you with a pack of serial killers so, i consider us even huh?"
- BrokenCircle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+43Does anybody miss the good old days when all the celebrities just did coke?
- videolab, on 10/10/2007, -4/+47Ha!
- pandasonic, on 10/10/2007, -1/+42For the sake of argument and good time, why don't we just gather up and create our own "religion". The kicker here: we'd be endorsed by the aliens that scientologists are against and we could be their followers and supporters here on earth. Then we can declare holy war on scientology.
- D4r7h3v1l, on 10/10/2007, -2/+38incomplete solution
gay = +/- sqrt(richard simmons) - modifiedbears, on 10/10/2007, -0/+35He = Watson
reading comprehension ftw - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -8/+42There is a very, very thin line between a cult, religion and criminal org's... think about it.
- hasslinthehoff, on 10/10/2007, -1/+33Manson 1, Xenu 0.
- Derrekito, on 10/10/2007, -12/+44I fail to see the difference in "cult", "church", or "religion"
- thickdrummer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+31It took him 150 hours to realise that Scientology is crazy? Pfft, dumbass.
- tHePeOPle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+28please visit http://www.xenu.net for full details on why/how scientology is an evil criminal cult.
- Derrekito, on 10/10/2007, -0/+26creepy
- sunroom, on 10/10/2007, -1/+25Definitely read the entire feature, not just the Manson bit. Great, funny commentary. It boggles my mind how anyone could believe in this tripe.
- mhockey14221, on 10/10/2007, -11/+35ugh, ***** comment system. digg down.
- sacherjj, on 10/10/2007, -0/+23Reading that may have made me insane.
- torched, on 10/10/2007, -1/+23Well, you have to draw the line somewhere..
- MrSketch, on 10/10/2007, -5/+25Simple:
A religion is a large popular cult.
A cult is a small unpopular religion. - kkeith02, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21Those other people one that list are just as suprising.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22I don't know of any legit religion that requires a member to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to gain more knowledge about it, and goes to great lengths to hide its information.
I don't know of any religion with such a huge legal team that sues its critics.
And it isn't the same as collection plates passed around in church. With those, you don't HAVE to donate. - Kombaiyashii, on 10/10/2007, -3/+20lol Jimmy. My mum always complains about the crime where I live (essex, England) yet she lived down the road from the guy who killed 50+ people (Harold Shipman) her aunty went to his practice (he was a doctor)...She also lived 5 minutes away from Ian Brady and Mira Hindly (serial killers)...Crazy ol' world...I saw Tony Blair a few years back, that's the closest I've been to a mass murderer.
- smackywentz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17Anyone else's nose start to bleed after that comment?
- darthgarlic, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17You really shouldn’t hold it against Charles Manson just because he tried Scientology, that just isn’t fair. Everyone makes mistakes in their life.
- TheDHC, on 10/10/2007, -3/+19hitler never killed anyone
- Suplyndmnd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16But the gap is, Manson is someone who wasn't famous until he killed someone. OJ was a famous person who killed someone. Manson isn't rich.
- MikeonTV, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16hmm...I may actually start to look into this who scientology thing
- broXc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14He was up for parole last year and was denied.
So... uh... no. - babar77, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13Guess he picked up a few brainwashing techniques from the Scientologists.
- altempo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13Of all the comments claiming Manson didn't murder anyone, I decided to respond to this one. Under the law he is just as much a murderer as any of the family members that did the physical act.
Manson WAS convicted of 1 count of conspiracy to commit murder, BUT also SEVEN counts of murder in the first degree.
Also, he did in fact take part in the Labianca murders by tying up the victims before sending in those who would do them in. - isuisorisuaint, on 10/10/2007, -3/+16jerry seinfeld is a scientologist?
- TrevorBelmont, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Look these up:
OPERATION: Snow White http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Snow_White
OPERATION: Freakout http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Freakout
FAIR GAME policy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_Game_%28Scientology%29
Lisa McPhearson http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisa_McPherson - enginbeering, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12No, Seinfeld's not a scientologist.
He's Jewish, and he took a couple of scientology courses once. I agree that's pretty lame, but this doesn't make him a scientologist.
Maybe he was invited by a friend and didn't want to offend? (Sounds like an episode of Seinfeld if you ask me) - universal12, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13he's right, how are all these famous people believing in that? It is like the new thing to do for them. I think sometimes these actors and actresses are a little crazy themselves.
- WizardGlick, on 10/10/2007, -5/+16What about Manson's words "isn't so ***** insane after all"? He wanted to start a race war. He said there is a hole in the desert that leads to an underground world where he and his followers would be safe. Manson is the epitome of ***** insane. Most hippies are.
- HailfireX, on 10/10/2007, -3/+14best line of the article:
"...Elvis Presley, who enjoyed eating ham a lot (below; ham's religious affiliations unknown). " - modifiedbears, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10He = Watson
