Actually, if you would have watched the video that was on both Joe Rogan's site and YouTube, he cited many examples with dates of the original work and Ned's performance of the same thing. And to be accurate, the one that interrupted was Mencia. Rogan was announcing the next comedian that was friends with Mencia, at which point Rogan called him "Menstealia". Mencia got up on stage and grabbed the mic and called Rogan to the stage. It pays to know the whole story before going on a rant, it saves you from looking rather stupid. If you listen to the audio, Carlos specifically said he made up the idea himself. About 2/3rds into the audio Carlos says: "...And I was like, 'You know what? I'm going to have a stereotype olympics'...".
At least in the audio, he doesn't say the guys come up with the idea, he says HE DOES. He didn't get "fired", he doesn't work for the agency, he pays the agency to represent him. They decided to break off ties to him for fear of losing a more lucrative contract with Mencia. Besides, even if they wanted to "reinstate" him, Rogan has said that the moment they asked him to apologize to Mencia he decided it was time to find a new agency. I liked his stand up special on Comedy central back in 2001 but like someone said (I think it was Joe) he just got a very lucky break with that since the terror attacks had just happened.
When he got his own show the first thing that came to mind was "Comedy central is desperate to get a replacement.for Chappelles show" sure enough after watching two episodes of it it looked like an exact ripoff of it...only worse.
At least when Dave made a joke he knew HOW to make a joke, "Carlos" just repeats the same tired joke over and over again, "Mexicans are lazy!" "White People are stupid!" His real name is Ned Holness, which would be an odd name if both parents were hispanic. There's nothing wrong with who he is, it's a bit fishy when he presents himself as essentially a Mexican, even if he doesn't say it outright.
