- blahtastic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+43Too stupid to live. I know I'm being anal, but when you call someone dumb it's best to try to not make simple grammar mistakes ;)
- phisquare, on 10/12/2007, -1/+35It already exists, it's called American Idol.
- aidenuncle48, on 10/12/2007, -0/+29It's utterly incredible people like that are even smart enough to stay free and out of bars that long before their own stupidity does them in.
- inajeep, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15I like the blogs title better: Taking Liberty: Car thief blunders big-time with trade-in
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11He didn't get caught because the dealership probably give the police all the info. It's infinitely easier to claim the insurance money on it than to sell a used 03 Liberty.

"Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity"
~ Bullet Tooth Tony (Snatch) - josegutz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7They should have a show about stupid people doing stupid things...
Oh wait.... - afruff23, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8You're wrong. It's the O' Reilly factor.
- shagen454, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Couldn't be O'Reilly because he doesn't do anything; Well, ok ok, he does slobber at the mouth.
- pevensen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5The article raises a good point. They had enough info to run a credit report on him, couldn't they just go to his house and get the car back?
- Dasickninja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4There is a set amount of intelligence on the earth, but the population keeps growing. This, is an example of that.
- MrZeolite, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6He was probably thinking, "it works for clothes, why not cars???"
- Wilddigi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Reminds me of a co-worker stealing a watch from another co-worker and wearing it the next day.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1this is most likely an advertising ploy by the company, a lot of things just seem a little too ridiculous.
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1serious answers:
America's Funniest?
MXC?
Maximum Exposure?
Scarred?
still makes for quality television (well, MXC does at least) - BigSlacker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Behold the power of the VIN number. Even if the dealership was clueless, the DMV would probably have noticed during the title transfer, "dudes, you already own that car."
- crweaks23, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I would think insurance would only cover the cost of the vehicle to the dealership. I doubt they can claim to the insurance company that they were going to sell it for 10k more. Then again, I don't really know....
- blahtastic, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Damnit, I never was good at commas. I'll take your word for it.
- willierab, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I'm not sure how you could possibly be that stupid. Maybe he thought that so much time had gone by that they just forgot about the stolen jeep? =)
- webuybrokengold, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm a little ashamed right now to say I'm from CT...and 20 minutes away from Norwalk...
- SpollakPrime, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3This used car place is actually 2 blocks from my house. I tried trading in my car there last year but after walking around the lot for 30 minutes and no one coming out to talk to me, I just took off. Its not a very big lot, they're really stupid and really lazy.
- attention, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i live in norwalk CT. lol.
this guy was probably high off his ass the entire time, knowing norwalk. - island, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2My tech shop is about 1 minute away from this place and if any of you guys ever delt with the people who work there, you would of thought the guy had a chance of actually trading it in. They offer the $50 a week right out of your checking account for a car deal, and the autos they sell are trash anyway.
- d03boy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1mod me sideways
- digjam, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0stoopid people shouldnt be allowed to reproduce..
- AnotherThought, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2thieves w/o G.E.D.'s these days just don't seem to make it anymore
- yujie, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Did he thought it was costco??
- tb0n3r, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Did he get involved in a land war in Asia? Or did he go in against a Sicilian, when death was on the line?
- SteelChicken, on 10/12/2007, -12/+10this ties in with the death penalty post.
This guy should be executed for being to stupid to live. - mywhitenoise, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1This story sucks, I wanted to know what car he was trading it in for.
- bannoy, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2I disagree. You'd end up culling the dumber criminals from the gene pool. I say let them do time and hopefully pass on their knowledge, advice and other bright ideas to their cellmates.
- Tonyisbad, on 10/12/2007, -9/+4
- shagen454, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3must've been smoking that crack before the theft.
Oh and SteelChicken... it's: "too stupid to live." Sorry. - FFpixel, on 10/12/2007, -10/+5"Too stupid to live. I know I'm being anal, but when you call someone dumb, it's best to try to not make simple grammar mistakes."
Fell one comma shy. :) - Forklore, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0Its incredible that they learn how to do something like that in the first place...
