It's like Christmas, the fact that Americans celebrate it by buying mountains of useless crap and giving it to people who didn't really want it doesn't mean that Christmas is aobut anything else than the birth of Jesus.

    And that pilgrims had a turkey with the natives story is the stupidest ***** in the world. Pilgrims killed millions of natives.

Some people want to bring their religious beliefs into it as well, if you don't, then don't. Don't say the concept in general sucks though. Most people get the day off work to be with people they care about and everyone usually gets in on preparing and eating good food that we don't usually have time to make. Lighten up and look for the good stuff.
