- ComstockGordon, on 11/09/2009, -0/+26The CF in CF18 is for Canadian Forces. Canadian spelling = vapour. Seems like proper contextual usage.
- spish, on 11/09/2009, -1/+25Dugg for the C.
- Bangaarang, on 11/09/2009, -4/+22VTEC just kicked in yo!
- Nicoon, on 11/09/2009, -2/+18Do a barrel roll.
- OmNomNomBACON, on 11/08/2009, -5/+19That's an amazing capture and I love the paint job. But I slightly prefer the Blue Angels.

- appleseed1234, on 11/09/2009, -1/+15I apologize on behalf of all moderately intelligent Americans.
- JimMayJr, on 11/09/2009, -9/+17You mean vapor? Vapour is the UK spelling of the word. Vapor is the American spelling.
- ReeferChiefer42, on 11/09/2009, -0/+8Ludicrous speed!
- mm63, on 11/09/2009, -1/+9This is one the most awesome pics I have ever seen. The shock wave that is formed on the back is called the "lambda shock" and is a characteristic of a transonic flow, i.e that in which Mach # is very close to one (0.8<M<1.1).
Also what is nice about this pic the interaction of shock and the water in the sea. Notice how water is completely still in the upstream, before the shock. This is in fact because the water has no "information" that there is a shock downstream and suddenly has to align itself with the flow as it encounters the shock.
Truly awesome. Thanks - Coreyc150, on 11/09/2009, -0/+7caught in a landsli----- yeah im gonna stop now
- MuffinPatrol, on 11/09/2009, -3/+9America! Fuc...... Oh wait
- Coreyc150, on 11/09/2009, -1/+6The first hornet flew in 1978. The first superhornet flew in 1995. So no.
- PandaBearShenyu, on 11/09/2009, -0/+5DEY TUK ER PLANES...?
Does that work? - RagnabroK, on 11/09/2009, -0/+4Saw the Centennial CF-18 this summer at a military air show. It marks the centennial of Canadian flight. Hence why it's painted gold.
- Hodor, on 11/09/2009, -1/+5These comments suck.
- jbmcb, on 11/09/2009, -1/+4So is a hammer. What's your point?
- Larsonal777, on 11/09/2009, -0/+3So I was having some wings and beer at a Pensacola beach bar patio yesterday around sunset... and out of nowhere the blue angels did a low flying formation pass with smoke. That was pretty cool.

- 412E9400FA59454, on 11/10/2009, -0/+2Agreed! Yes, they are fast, sleek and sexy but you are right, they are just machines to kill people more efficiently. It's sad and I hope we evolve past idolizing the killers.
- immatellyouwhat, on 11/09/2009, -1/+2Thanks for giving us Robin Sherbatsky!

- BilliD, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1I spot a blue led light right before the wing on the bottom...wonder whats that about?
- SemperFly, on 11/09/2009, -1/+2It doesn't have to be breaking the sound barrier to produce vapour (SIC :^) ) like that.
- Paulmeirense, on 11/09/2009, -1/+2no escape...
- Thesuit22, on 11/09/2009, -1/+2and Insulin
- mfalk, on 11/10/2009, -0/+1@MercenarySlick They were brand new when we got them, our subs however are a different story....

- 350Zed, on 11/10/2009, -0/+1Vaper? Wow, your [sic] smart.
- greggerm, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1It's actually a green navigation light. Standard equipment. (There's a red one on the opposite side)
- ItWasOnlyAJoke, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1I just assumed that it was breaking the sound barrier, yes. I would imagine that whenever a vapor like that forms, it is generally associated with a speed very close to that of sound as a result of the decreased air pressure. It may not be breaking the sound barrier, but it's going pretty darn fast I'm sure.
- jmp478, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1They've gone plaid...
- Greengoo, on 11/09/2009, -1/+1and Brian Boytano.

- zetec, on 11/10/2009, -1/+1it's like a fart. but kinda with water. not to be confused with a shart. *the more you know*
- elizabethnunes, on 11/09/2009, -1/+0muito boa a imagem
http://www.evolsteelconexoes.com.br - MercenarySlick, on 11/09/2009, -2/+1If it's not sideways then another plane would have to be taking a picture from above it, and you'd be able to see the ground instead of the clear blue sky.
It's amazing that people thumbed you up but thumbed him down. You idiots lack rudimentary spatial reasoning. - chrisblau, on 11/09/2009, -3/+2Yes.
