It was my freshman year and I left my car in the parking lot after going out with friends. Unfortunately, I can really unobservant sometimes and forgot my keys in the car. The next morning I go down to check and get my car unlocked by a locksmith.
After it is unlocked, I find my keys sitting on top of a pink note. It says: "You left your car running. I took the liberty of turning it off so your battery wouldn't die. I'm going to close the locks and leave your keys on the seat so you can find them and they won't get stolen. Love, your friendly samaritan."
I was absolutely shocked. I still keep that note in my wallet to remind myself that are still some good people in the world. Nothing in my car was stolen. I had CDs, toll money, my car's title/registration. She could have taken anything and everything in my car, including the car. Instead, she just decided to help me out.

In the future, I will not be locking my car doors. I'd rather have them ruffle through the car and steal my toll booth change without the resulting damage.
