- ericditmer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+34Burger King goes from the Quad Stacker, 4 beef patties, 4 pieces of cheese, 8 strips of bacon -- to unsweetened apple sauce and low-fat milk. That's like going from Michael Clarke Duncan to Chris Crocker .
- StigNordas, on 10/10/2007, -1/+33um, if you bring a kid into burger king, this is the LAST thing he/she's going to want to order.
- eatkitten, on 10/10/2007, -5/+37The King ***** cares
(and hates fat kids). - Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -2/+31The King loves all children... Possibly in ways that scare me.
- notbrittish788, on 10/10/2007, -3/+31If parents didn't want their kids to get fat, THEY SHOULDN'T GET FAST FOOD.
- ChromaVita, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22Way to make me think the page ***** up and didn't finish loading...
- abid786, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17That lawsuit is pointless. They can sell whatever they want. It is your fault for taking your kids there; you should be responsible for their food.
- Narshe, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15Didn't Dairy Queen have "McFlurries" first? I think they're called Blizzards.
- Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9You also serve a caramel dipping sauce for apples.
- monkeycatDx, on 10/10/2007, -5/+11How about the practice on not ***** up my order.
- vileS, on 10/10/2007, -5/+11I know when I eat a burger I want a nice tall glass of milk to wash it down. Mmm.
- Nick2632, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6If by healthier meals they mean not made by Burger King
- Torsion, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5can't we all just agree that this is at least a step in the right direction no?
- crgnetworks, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4When does bathing in it's blood come into play?
- unorginalityftw, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4To stay in shape: don't eat fast food every day, exercise regularly.
Two easy-to-do steps, although I admit it took me a while to start, but once you start working out and stuff you soon find when you do eat one of those bad foods it makes you feel horrible and you don't like it as much. (At least for me, unsure of others' experiences.)
But besides that, it IS a good thing they are starting to choose healthier options as they should. Also, if you don't tell your kids it has been made healthier they probably won't notice the difference anyway. Kudos to BK. - monkeycatDx, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5How about they* practice on not ***** up my order.
- Nougat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4No, they're just making the *kids'* meals a little better. That's to get them in as Burger King customers so that later on, when they're making their own food-buying decisions, they'll already have brand awareness. And then they'll buy the higher profit items like vats of soda and completely overprocessed burgers.
- Hoogs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I never understood this healthy kids meal business. Kids like to go out to eat so they can get greasy food they DON'T usually get at home. What kid is going to choose applesauce over fries?
- Jazzillion, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I will protest you pessimistic diggers at the risk of being buried......
Offering individuals convenience, timeliness, health, and price at a fast food restaurant is really hard to find. Even their salads are often times incredibly unhealthy. The general public needs to be more health conscious, and the best way to do it is making healthy foods be more accessible. This is a start, albeit, a hypocritical one. - Error601, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Good luck trying to get them to eat it.
- Hoogs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I just laugh at them. As long as they don't use their weight as an excuse to use the handicap parking space, I'm good.
- theamazingkort, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The healthiest kids meal would be to stop targeting children.
- Scheissen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2It's probably not even going to be healthy. The only fast food I eat is from Subway, but it's too expensive to eat there regularly so I make my own subs. There seriously needs to be another fast health food competitor
- Corinthos, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2and half the employees
- burtonbe, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Damn them! Damn them for serving that caramel sauce!
Have they no respect?!? Have they no decency?!? Why do they play on our sense of responsibility, then shatter it with rich, sweet caramel?!?! - crgnetworks, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4Sweet I hate fatties too!
- TheLoneWolf071, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Put a sign on the doors... "No Fat Chicks!"
- Bricks, on 10/10/2007, -4/+6A small step. But in matters concerning fast food and change, small steps are important, and so wide reaching that they're significant. I highly recommend the book, "The Omnivore's Dilemma" if the study of eating habits interests you. It tracks the progress of a few meals from their absolute originating points all the way to your body. An enlightening read that has gained great popularity lately.
- ThraxyWaxy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Since when is 8.5g of fat low? Shows what kind of country everybody's living in.
- thebraineater, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I hate the whole idea of fast food trying to be healthy, and health food trying to appeal to people who want fast food. ("healthy" Oreos, that type of thing)
- n00bst3r, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I'll just keep going where I can get my 4x4+ burgers.
- habbofresh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2did you know the whopper isn't limited to a maximum of three patties? go ahead, ask next time you're there :)
- skyfire1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Encourage your kids play sports so they won't become a bunch of fatasses. Most kids aren't fat just because of their diet. Also, stop buying so many twinkies.
Fatass - monospaced, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1have it your way
- digitul, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1why are people trying to make that annoying kid a household name
- tehpwnrate, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2I actually buy those. McDonalds ice coffee is really really good, and for a snack some apple dippers with a honey mustard grilled chicken wrap is about as healthy as fast food can be if it's also going to taste good.
- 5um1th, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Oh really???
- Nougat, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2ers
^ - Jalh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1thats good
- airwalkery2k, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Man, I remember when Burger King was a great place to fatten yourself up. They really sold out, man.
- unorginalityftw, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Honestly, I think they should never make this information public until like 5 months after. Betcha no one notices the taste difference.
- Nougat, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Iced coffee recipe:
Chocolate syrup in tall glass, about 1/4 inch in the bottom
Ice in glass, almost to top
Fill 3/4 up with coffee (preferably already cold or room temp)
Fill rest of the way with a flavored liquid creamer product (because those are sweet in addition to being creamy)
Stir
That's the iced coffee that you'll pay $4 for at Starbucks. Thank me later. - Damian91, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Once again another company has to take care of someones kid because the parent/guardian can't.
- solistus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1What burger? This meal would have chicken strips, not a burger.
- burtonbe, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1How about you choose another resturant (thus making an actually difference) instead of making a pathetic post on digg?
- burtonbe, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Higher profit? You can get a whopper junior for $1. I suspect that they are making less profit on the "healthy" kid's meals to hook the future addict.
Nevertheless, you're much more likely to get hooked on high-profit sushi. Trust me, it's addictive. - alexra, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1their healthy foods are prob still not that healthy
- Nougat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"May I have a Whopper with seven patties please?"
- habbofresh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1it's on their register as "extra patty." if the ***** on the register can't figure it out, have their manager show them,
