- spyd3rweb, on 03/18/2008, -1/+35He'll end up with like $200,000 when paypal is done with him.
- inactive, on 03/18/2008, -3/+29Although I ultimately feel sad about how bad the man must feel to give up everything he has worked for (not taking into consideration the money that he will recieve), this story is beautiful and eye-opening to me. The thought of switching lives really gets me thinking. That would be one incredible journey for somebody to take.
When I read this, I didn't think of bidding on this auction myself, but for somebody else. Imagine going around downtown to homeless people and asking "how would you like me to give you a new life? a fresh start? a clean slate?" Imagine the kind of joy you could give someone. I would love to see more cases of this pop up in the future... I might be willing to put some money into the pot ;) - mrjit, on 03/18/2008, -1/+24Wish I had a life to auction off.
- xenosteel, on 03/18/2008, -4/+26Hmmmmmmmmm..... Should I trade my WoW account for this?

- blast_flame, on 03/18/2008, -2/+18Someone just gave him a check. He no longer needs to sell everything. I know because I live here in Perth and it was just on the news.
- TheFlamingHips, on 03/18/2008, -0/+13this has mid-life crisis written all over it... poor bastard..
- dudefather, on 03/18/2008, -0/+12Life not in condition it was described, lack of communication with seller, not recommended
- hander, on 03/18/2008, -2/+13This guy is as much Australian as British, I feel. So your insults are a little harsh.
The American love affair with British culture is not something we encourage, believe me. I mean, there's no kudos in having respect from the world's most reviled country. And before I get shot down, I'm no US-hater. Personally, I feel there's plenty to admire in the US. And, of course, plenty to ridicule/insult.
Still, I don't go round slagging you off. - maxyRO, on 03/18/2008, -0/+11the answer to "get a life"!

If it were only that easy to switch lives..... - Markpdotcom, on 03/18/2008, -0/+3Maybe thats the twist! You have to hold on to a golden skull with him and you switch places at the end of the auction! Awesome!
- blast_flame, on 03/18/2008, -0/+3No but I thought it would be easier to understand that way.
- ukblacknight, on 03/18/2008, -1/+4I didn't even know Americans spell cheque "check"!
- ukblacknight, on 03/18/2008, -0/+3Unless he plans on living in a garage? Maybe a little bit of a drive for it too, if he's lucky.
- mGARANDEUR1, on 03/18/2008, -0/+3That doesn't sound like a bad idea. $500,000 for all he is offering?
- Stettenbauer, on 03/18/2008, -0/+3There is a difference between your life and the stuff in your life (hard for many of us Americans to believe).
- surKaz, on 03/18/2008, -0/+2eh.. coincidence..

- brianbennett, on 03/18/2008, -0/+1The auction starts in 96 days - http://alife4sale.com/
- sougly, on 03/18/2008, -0/+1Is that the only thing in the auction for your life?
- freedomwv, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1He has had something profound happening from inside of him. He must have really loved that women. Love can really chance a person. When that love is lost it can also chance a person. I think that every man has that moment at some point in their life. You just get to the point in which you are sick of it all; and you do something to break the long unending chain which is connected to a steel ball that is your life.
- faithfreedom, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1His wife is sold to the milkman already.
- Niightwitch, on 03/18/2008, -0/+1Snap ot of it....there is no "American love affair with British culture".
