- realclark, on 10/10/2007, -1/+306Nothing says 'Good Job' like a firm open palmed slap on the ass.
- andrew47, on 10/10/2007, -12/+278cheeses f***ing christ, wtf is going on in US??!!! they start charging kids with sexual assaults - that's not the first case.
All i can say to people who place charges - get a f***ing life!!! - chicoer2001, on 10/10/2007, -2/+168Next: Charging 5 year olds for playing doctor.
- ViRaZ, on 10/10/2007, -3/+158I guess it's just a matter of time before the whole football team sues each other or the coach for ass slapping.
- tehWyman, on 08/19/2009, -2/+134If girls were doing this to guys, would they have the same punishment?
- iffypop, on 10/10/2007, -1/+99no, they'd have boyfriends
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+92So now slap ass is illegal? wtf is wrong with this country? I swear people are doing this ***** so we don't pay attention to real issues.
- johndi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+79Both boys and girls were doing this. It is a case of the school system failing in its duties to supervise the students. If anyone should be charged it is the people running the school. While I don't want the girls to be charged, but if what the boys did was a crime why aren't the girls who confessed to the police being charged too? If I was one of the parents, I'd be going after the district attorney.
- Ajajadude, on 10/10/2007, -2/+72Yup, this case and others like it are beyond ridiculous. Words can't even describe how screwed up this is.
There's nothing like ruining the lives of young boys in middle school over something that's far from being serious. There are worse things going on in this country (let alone the world, but that's a whole other matter) than kids slapping some asses. A stern talking to and MAYBE a day of detention, but that's it. And if it really is something that a good portion of the student population is doing, then obviously school officials need to make it clear to the students that this behavior isn't appropriate.
Slapping cuffs on the kids and throwing them in juvie just screwed these kids up big time. And you know a lawsuit is coming against the school, the police department, and the DA's office. I've always hated the sue-happy state of this country, but I hope these parents do sue and they win. - wayback09, on 10/10/2007, -3/+71How can you blame kids this age for doing stuff like this? Did these people forget what it was like when they were 13 and their hormones working overtime and out of control? I know they have to be careful in the day of sexual harassment. But felony sexual assault on the 13 year olds?
- capiCrimm, on 10/10/2007, -0/+65note to self: bring group when selling drugs.
- Kurisuku, on 10/10/2007, -3/+62It's pretty scary, honestly. You can't even be a kid without being arrested.
I mean damn, I get questioned by a police officer every time I go out. "What are you doing?" ... "Going to the mall." ... "What mall?" ... "The one 3 feet away. We're in the parking lot."
That's a real conversation I've had with a police officer who followed me into a mall's parking lot. Same thing has happened several other places I went. - tehWyman, on 08/19/2009, -5/+61Everyone knows you are lying. No one at Digg knows a girl.
- MackPrime, on 10/10/2007, -0/+55that's not a crime, that's a TIME HONORED TRADITION
- Kurisuku, on 10/10/2007, -1/+46Well it's because I go out alone. The police officers told me, "It's not normal for someone to go out alone. No one does that. Only drug dealers." Not my fault I don't have friends to bring out when I go shopping. Jeez.
- Zerp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+44Why don't we just get a law passed making all human contact illegal.
- sleepykit, on 10/10/2007, -0/+43As I understand it, the odds of success for the case are pretty low. The boys will probably get away with no further punishment. This should however serve as a good reminder that in today's world, touching one another and how it's treated depends on the flight of a butterfly in China and the weather in Ecuador, apparently.
- villainousT, on 10/10/2007, -1/+44Why can't girls just put them in their place with a little slap or something? I feel like an old man saying that's how this sort of thing used to be taken care of. Where the hell is society going?
- spyd3rweb, on 10/10/2007, -1/+43holy crap, we did this in school all the time, AND THE GIRLS LIKED IT!!!! of course when they say stop you're supposed to stop.
- Virak, on 10/10/2007, -0/+40But think of the children! We must protect the children!
Wait... - awhiteflame, on 10/10/2007, -3/+39What pun ... ?
- otakushark, on 10/10/2007, -2/+37Whoever decided these kids should be arrested deserves to be fired. Detention and/or suspension for these kids would have been a far more appropriate action.
- sock2828, on 10/10/2007, -2/+36My school had a big meeting about this. the man telling us about how this was considered a sexual offense was obviously trying to scare us telling us we could get arrested and taken to juvie. he then tried to scare us more by telling us that juvie was horrible he made it sound worse than prison
- DeviantSeptum, on 10/10/2007, -17/+49Let us just be glad that these predators were caught early before they captured or killed some innocent child. Even Hell is too pleasant for molesters. Hopefully by the grace of Jesus these boys souls will be saved. I'll pray for the victims. I hope they will not be emotionally scared for life.
- awhiteflame, on 10/10/2007, -2/+33You must look very conspicuous.
- ZombyWoof78, on 10/10/2007, -2/+31I should state that I am being sarcastic, but their are people out their who have that attitude.
- nepawoods, on 10/10/2007, -1/+29"How can you blame kids this age for doing stuff like this?"
It's easy if you're a lawyer ... a prosecuting attorney whose career is bettered by putting people away, whether they've actually done any wrong or not. - whatthefu, on 10/10/2007, -0/+28***** sick. In this case it would be the school's responsibility to "put a stop" to this behavior. Prosecuting a young teenager because he slapped a girl's ass, though? Pathetic. Practically ruining lives instead of teaching the kids a lesson like parents and the school should do.

- allengeer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+27Glad to see the cop is using a real objective way of fighting crime. Its a lot like fishing.
- Boshow, on 10/10/2007, -9/+34You are an idiot. These kids don't even have the capasity to be a sexual predator. Its just playing and teasing that went a little too far. Make them appoligize, tell them not to do it again and if they do, then you spank them and see how they like it.
- DangerMouse9, on 10/10/2007, -0/+24Cop: "Do you know why I'm standing here?"
Sarah Silverman: "Because you got all Cs in high school" - silencerider151, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24I can just imagine them having to register as sex offenders and go around telling people in the neighborhood.
"When I was 13, I slapped a girls butt."
"STAY AWAY FROM OUR KIDS YOU SICKO!" - laurarena, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24he plays video games and lives with his mom. obviously a sex offender
- music2play1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+23was he dressed in a panda costume?
- modpancake, on 10/10/2007, -0/+22IMO, the boys who did this should get away with nothing more than a slap on the ass.
- nzhamstar, on 10/10/2007, -4/+26america is *****
- gmprunner, on 10/10/2007, -1/+23And money!
- jimbob3636, on 10/10/2007, -0/+21read the article. the girls were doing it
- NikoKun, on 10/10/2007, -1/+22In japan, it's common for kids to do some weird thing were they cram 2 fingers up someone else's butt... I'm not kidding...
- nipterink, on 10/10/2007, -0/+20not the ass...
- Ajajadude, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17Hmmm, maybe someone should start selling medical malpractice insurance to the little tykes just in case they get sued...
- Ajajadude, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16Even if they get off free, they're probably going to have issues for quite some time. By even bringing up charges, the DA is saying that these kids are no better than pedophiles and rapists. The DA even says they just want to get the message across that the behavior is not acceptable. Well, no *****! Throw 'em in detention for day or so and odds are you won't have any problems from those two. Charging them as CRIMINALS only scars them for life.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17This whole thing smells strongly of lawyers.
- applemaggot, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16Once upon a time this was called "play". This is how we "learn" the boundaries of human interaction. The boys are clearly wrong in their actions, but are by no means deviant. The sentencing should be cleaning up the parking lot at the school, or scraping some gum off the undersides of some desks. I would like to slap the faces of the people who made this public instead of handling it the way it has always been.
- Platysquirrel, on 10/10/2007, -5/+19Umm... sarcasm. Duh.
- MrSteamTank, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14And this is why the sex offender's list in general is a bad idea. Particularly when prosecutors keep railroading young kids into taking plea bargains that put you on the sex offender's list. Even worse is that in some states the sex offender's list is public knowledge ensuring constant hatred and villification from the community at large.
Sometimes it makes me wonder how many "pedophiles" are actually true pedophiles and not just young twenty-something men sleeping with or touching 13-17 year old girls that look and dress 5-10 years older. I wouldn't be surprised if the percentage was less than 50. - MaruLono, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13when i was in middle school would go around unsnapping girl's bras, the girls enjoyed it at first until it got annoying. worst thing that happened was getting slapped. these poor kids, can't even have fun these days.
- monka, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15...being acquainted with someone is a prerequisite for slapping them on the rear? =/
