- DrywallThief, on 11/21/2008, -24/+1008Stop slapping "FAIL" over everything. It's moronic.
- 120decibel, on 11/21/2008, -8/+314Fail?? Thats true as hell!!
- stuckinneutral, on 11/22/2008, -14/+279I FAIL to see the humor.
- ahjkl67435, on 11/22/2008, -13/+205get failblog off of digg!
- skepnaden, on 11/21/2008, -8/+186Dugg for "Boyfriend training" in between!
- AmyVernon, on 11/21/2008, -1/+135That's the Strand at Union Square. The staff DEFINITELY did that on purpose. And probably giggled while making the labels.
- edwartica, on 11/22/2008, -0/+94I kind of like that actually. :P
- IIECONII, on 11/22/2008, -3/+75I fail...
...to see how the bookstore sorting is a FAIL?
To me, it's a huge success. To the "boyfriend" however, not so much. - TheEngineer2008, on 11/21/2008, -31/+96But it's from Failblog! And, it beats, "Placement of bookstore shelf sorting labels leads to an unintentionally humorous situation." :-)
- mysn239, on 11/22/2008, -7/+52This fail FAILS
- CoreyTamas, on 11/22/2008, -3/+40"FAIL" Is becoming the "WASSUUUUUUP?" of this era: Keep doing it everywhere, whether it applies to the situation or not, and when people don't laugh just do it again.
- sittered, on 11/22/2008, -2/+38Incidentally, I submitted my own picture of this shelf without the word "FAIL" a while back. It wasn't nearly as successful.

The link's not so you'll digg it, I just wanted to back up what I said. - diggdiggerid, on 11/22/2008, -2/+37FAIL does not mean what you think it does.
- 42Vindictive, on 11/22/2008, -2/+31Fail is another ***** meme that moved into the mainstream and thus, as the general public does with 99.9% of things, was completely ***** ruined. Now we have soccer moms and 5-year-old brats running around screaming 'FAIL! FAIL! FAILFAILFAIL! FAIL! LOLO FAIL!' at every single thing.
- fajitamelt, on 11/22/2008, -0/+28So really, the person who put "fail" over their brilliant bookshelf is just a ***** douchebag.
- taforever, on 11/22/2008, -7/+34Do we have to post every single "FAIL" from failblog? I like a fail as much as the next digger but come on, I can visit the site if I need them.
- inactive, on 11/22/2008, -2/+27Pretty much all the text on that image is retarded. First, there's no "failure" occurring anywhere in that image. Second, pointing out the humor of the middle book only serves to detract from the humor. Third, watermarks are complete *****.
- TimeIsTissue, on 11/22/2008, -2/+25wait, your the same guy.
- Benjigga, on 11/22/2008, -5/+28Dude!! You're getting a Dell!!
- fajitamelt, on 11/22/2008, -0/+21Yes, but the unintentional humor does not render it a failure, in any way, shape, or form. Failure is the opposite of success, and the labels on the shelf successfully label the books. Where is the failure? Where?
- AManWithNoName, on 11/22/2008, -2/+22From now on, I'm refusing to digg anything with the word "FAIL" in the title or description. This would be so much funnier without that written over the top of the picture.
- d2002, on 11/22/2008, -1/+20"Castration period" in between.
- dustbowl, on 11/22/2008, -2/+18yeah, definately done on purpose. I use to work in a book shop and I would take the books about routers for wood working and put them into the computer networking section.
Another time I would take the magazine Canadian Beaver, a heritage magazine, and place it among the magazines like, FHM, Loaded, Esquire etc. - hurrayforschool, on 11/22/2008, -3/+17Dugg for FAIL because I like lolcats and memes and I'm a bratty ***** with no sense of humor.
- rjhomuth, on 11/22/2008, -2/+16HOLY ***** CLONES
- airwalkery2k, on 11/22/2008, -0/+14How else can I determine whether something is WIN or FAIL? By using my own cognitive abilities? Come on, that's hard!
- leif77, on 11/22/2008, -0/+13I went to this bookstore that specialized in hard to find books. THEY WEREN'T ALPHABETIZED!!!
- hackiavelli, on 11/22/2008, -0/+13Marriage.
- stock, on 11/22/2008, -2/+15This FAIL ***** has got to stop.
- inactive, on 11/22/2008, -1/+13They're both in the same section so its accurate.
- anotherghost, on 11/22/2008, -1/+13Does it? Does it really?
- im2emo4myshrt, on 11/22/2008, -0/+12I am pretty sure that was intentional.
- SquigglyP, on 11/22/2008, -1/+12if you ***** would stop posting them, it wouldn't be a ***** problem. It's not the people who hate thi retarded ***** that's posting it. It's people like you who use that kind of retarded argument. "Well XKCD gets posted a lot, so I'll post whatever retarded ***** I want, cause I'm a self-indulgent prick and I don't give a ***** about what anyone else wants or likes."
- inactive, on 11/22/2008, -4/+14buried for use of "FAIL" in title
- zerton, on 11/22/2008, -0/+9really? its an old joke about sex not happening as much or being as great in a relationship. and boyfriend training is in between.
- kleash, on 11/22/2008, -0/+9Welcome to Digg
- KibibyteBrain, on 11/22/2008, -2/+10Because making a meme out of pointing out the failure of others helps distract us from the lack of success in our own lives...
- inactive, on 11/22/2008, -0/+8Hmm, yeah. I've been in that place before.
- thirdeyeopen, on 11/22/2008, -2/+8Probably because all the humor was sucked out of it by whoever stamped that big 'fail' in the middle.
- leif77, on 11/22/2008, -0/+6sorry i forgot the "..." - Mitch Hedberg
- aleceiffel87, on 11/22/2008, -2/+7I find the whole "FAIL" thing very annoying in a "DERP" kind of way.
- sykotik, on 11/22/2008, -1/+6Agreed. I mean, all they do is take images/videos/whatever that have already existed on the net for some time, slap fail on it, and sit back and rake in the ad revenue, and whatever else they may get.
Smart, sure I suppose, they're making money by taking advantage of work done by others (taking the video, taking the picture, etc) but that doesn't make it any less annoying, hell it increases the annoyance factor.
Oh and if anyone thinks I'm jealous, no. I wouldn't be caught dead doing that even if it meant making a million bucks a week. I prefer to work hard on my own doing my own thing to get where I want to in life, financially or otherwise. Not exploiting other peoples work or material or whatever.
Originality people, this concept is far from it. - InfernoX, on 11/22/2008, -0/+5I prefer a more subtle class of humour, like someone posting this picture without the text and letting me discover the joke for myself instead of plastering it in ugly text over the original image with "FAIL" stamped on it for good measure.
- ahjkl67435, on 11/22/2008, -0/+5why are you on it?
- ldkronos, on 11/22/2008, -0/+5Different shelf, but the same concept. I wonder if somebody copied the idea from your photo and staged this one (either that or 2 bookstores used the exact same organization and labeling system). Either way, I like the title on your submission better.
- NekroJesus, on 11/22/2008, -1/+6http://www.instantrimshot.com/
- jacekpoplawski, on 11/22/2008, -4/+9All this "FAIL" crap is really a failure of todays Internet.
- completerobot, on 11/22/2008, -2/+7Shut the ***** up.
- MissCellania, on 11/22/2008, -0/+4This comment needs a rimshot.
- maroon1872, on 11/22/2008, -0/+4but, then again things on failblog make the front page of digg...
