- astatine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10You don't have to shout, we can smell you a mile off.
- Stoneleprecon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9there is one in Belgium which is better
This woman buys a coke from the coke machine
2nd woman in line, holding a cigarette inserts money in the machine
the machine swallows here money and doesn't give her anything
the first woman gives her coke to the smoker and then words pop up
"be nice to smokers, they don't have that long to live." - simonrward, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9It's Ok - not "The Best Ever".
Pretty spacious grave though.Do all smokers get that much room when they die? - gbeirne, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8It's obviously working - I know I've never smoked in India.
- estvir, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8thing is, people have a reason to shout at those who ARE smoking (though it's wrong) but you can't yell at someone for NOT smoking.
as much as you like, it doesn't work both ways, but of course, yelling/insulting someone for smoking is wrong.
i hold my breath if i ever have to walk past someone is smoking (thankfully, barely ever these days); why should i (who is trying to stay healthy) have to worry about problems from 'chain-smoking' or whatever buzz word they use for people who, not by choice are affected by cigarettes.
also, not all smokers know what is in store for them, alot of them ignore the facts or simply don't know and are smoking because they started in high school when the 'cool kids' where doing it.
- no, i'm not judging people who smoke, don't try and twist my words that way, trolls/flamers. - 5la5hd0tter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4for those who think second-hand smoke is *****, wake up.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2006-06-27-involuntary-smoking_x.htm?POE=NEWISVA - tievolu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4This is better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fte9_5hHB_0
- outrageousmac, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I don't have problem with people smoking. I have problem with people smoking around me and subjecting me to passive smoking. Most smokers I know feel they have a god given right to subject people in the room or bar to passive smoking.
- sakuraz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5at least we DON'T inject you with TOXINs that have lasting impact to your health FORCEFULLY.
- roqs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3was thinking exactly the same thing.. i might take up smoking..
- astatine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Yeah, even the other corpses won't go near them.
- Callero, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Such is life, you poison people, they yell at you =)
Btw, I smoke too ;) - csrster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is an advert designed to make non-smokers feel good about not smoking. As an ex-smoker I know what my reaction to this ad would have been in my smoking days - something like "Hey, it looks a lot more fun in the 'grave' than up there with all those boring wankers".
- yahoofrom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Sugar and alcohol only harms the eater while smoking harms everybody near the smoker. got it?
- boomerxl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well if it is in someone else's home, you should always ask, even if they smoke. In a bar or restaurant, complain to the management, that's the only way to affect real change, or leave.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Second hand smoke IS *****, Pen and Teller said so....
- HarleyQuinn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have sinus problems and asthma. I live in an apartment. I have neighbors who like to smoke on their balcony's to AVOID stinking up THEIR apartment. Where I live, there is no need to use Air Conditioning because the climate is mild, so I like to leave my windows open... BUT my apartment winds up stinking of cigarette smoke from inconsiderate smokers. I now have to run A/C to breath easy, at my added electric bill expense.
If you want to smoke go right ahead, but do it in the CONFINES of your own PRIVATE space. - ifor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2ceiling or sealing?
- 5la5hd0tter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1...continued (for some reason digg didn't let me edit my prev comment)
while i do agree that such ads will not stop smokers from smoking, and that every smoker is aware of the inherent danger (yet moronically refuses to give up), the whole point of making non-smokers aware of their health hazard is so that they, as friends, will be able to convince the smokers to quit. - KingMoses, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1They should. There should be smoking bars and non-smoking bars. Perfectly reasonable way to provide freedom to everybody. Banning smoking in bars is the ***** way to take freedom away.
Who's to say what the next thing the government is going to ban for the sake of your health? The fat police are already getting rounded up trying to ban junk food from all kinds of places. What then? Mandatory helmets for walking down the street? Restrictions on time permitted outside in the rain to make sure you don't catch a cold? The answer to all of this horse ***** is freedom. - AlexApetrei, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2lol, kickass cealing sticker. Might get one for my room.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Apparently it's a rip off! See the comments here:
http://adsoftheworld.com/media/ambient/cancer_patients_aid_association_cemetery - Scruffydan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2The great thing about going to a pub in Vancouver is they are all smoke free... at least tobacco smoke free...
- Amazonca, on 08/15/2008, -0/+0The ad is really creative! But a little bit cruel, it seems to so.
need me? my space:
http:www.cigbrands.com/ - theratdotus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1this makes me sick. wheres the anti alcohol and sugar ads?
those two kill more people then anything else in the world. ***** people making money off of degrading what another person does to themselves. so you wont be able to walk into the sunlight without people thinking your a sick *****. George burns smoked prolly more then everyone in the world combined and lived very long. everything in moderation my friends. everything in moderation. - jcook793, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm gonna smoke my cigar and eat my steak and drink my beer and enjoy life. Have fun with your perfect body wrapped in plastic eating vitamins until you're 200.
- frizzipazzi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Why there's a priest in an ad addressed to a non christian country? I really hate the fact that in all the medias the only religion is the christian!
- TheMoss, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Roll on banning smoking in bars etc in the UK. I am fed up smelling like an ashtray after going for a drink. Disgusting habit.
- ramvorg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0that would scare the ***** out of me.
- emichbe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Check out this anti-smoking campaign in Tasmania:
http://www.quittas.org.au/campaign/wysiwyg/CAN062FOOT-TAS.mpg - SimpleBinary, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I'll be right back, I'm going out for a cigarette....
- KenMo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I hate smelling and breathing cigarette smoke, but it IS legal. I don't think the State should force businesses to discriminate, it should be a choice the owner makes based on the wishes of their customers.
If this is so bad and needs to be banned in public, it should be outlawed. The State won't do that though, because they make too much money from the taxes.
But if we must ban Smoking because of the effects on others, I think we should ban farting in public too. - kevsedg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Parts of India are Christian... I think goa is...
- boreddreamer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0"Best Anti-Smoking Ad Ever?" This was up on Digg about two weeks ago under the headline "Best Ceiling Painting Ever". Unfortunately, it has proven to be untrue in both cases.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4You whinny little self-righteous *****. The only reason why I wont quit smoking is the fear that I will become one of you.
Non-smokers die everyday, and second hand smoke is *****. So ***** off. - RazorElite, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Second hand smoke kills a lot faster than driving a car and inhaling exhaust.
- cawk, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1in the ad it's smokers in a segregated smoking room, being mourned. nobody makes you stand in a closed-off smoking room.
- plopolop, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2It's rubbish! I was expecting some kinda of shock tactic, but it's just a room with a hole in the roof... great. All you non-smokers complaining about passive smoking - do you drive a car? Then shut up. If I smoke outside then I suspect it's a lot less damaging to all involved than the exhaust fumes of any kind of car.
- puneypunk, on 10/12/2007, -39/+8I hate this BS. Us smokers know what's in store for us, yeah yeah we are gonna die earlier than the rest of you! But we don't go around SHOUTING at people when they _don't_ smoke. Basically leave it the ***** alone you *****.
