.....Don't stop, Believin' - Fission, on 10/12/2007, -0/+223The real problem is that if Batman is in Arizona, then who is defending Gotham City from the evil-doers?!?
- pmichaelson, on 10/12/2007, -2/+169I kind of like the idea of a mentally deranged dude running around Phoenix in a Batman costume. Next Up: Green Arrow Takes Albuquerque.
- Yashar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+106"we couldn't find anyone"
Its Batman, of course you can't find him.
I don't really know what Batman would be doing in Arizona. Running around in all black in 80 degree weather is a little much, even for Batman. - KyleRayner, on 10/12/2007, -1/+91You know, disappearing into things is pretty cool, forests, the darkness, etc. But to vanish into the barren ***** desert, in broad daylight?! WOW!
- sideshowRAHEEM, on 10/12/2007, -4/+82Thats there problem there looking for Batman they should be looking for Bruce Wayne
- SeismicShock, on 10/12/2007, -2/+80And once again, we prove that we as a nation can neither take a joke, or be amused by anything...
"911, What is your emergency?"
"I JUST SAW A GUY RUNNING, AND HE MIGHT HAVE BEEN WEAR SOME KIND OF CLOTHING"
"Duct Tape your windows closed sir, we'll be right there." - joeydoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+78"Three schools in the north Phoenix suburb of Cave Creek were on lockdown for about 45 minutes Wednesday morning after a student at Desert Arroyo Middle School reported seeing a person dressed as Batman run across campus, jump a fence and disappear into the desert, Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark said.......... Local Mayor Adam West was unavailable for comment."
- JimmyDushku, on 10/12/2007, -2/+61Did you ever see the Batmobile????
- Slovenian6474, on 10/12/2007, -2/+51Hehe, i like the irony. Seeing Batman in a town named Cave Creek.
- TheUngod, on 10/12/2007, -3/+43Maybe Batman was looking for Robin near the middle school? Robin always struck me as a little...Michael Jackson-esque
- andyrobo60, on 10/12/2007, -0/+40Whats the point of locking down a school because someone ran away??
S: "Teacher i saw some strange man jumping the fence and running away from school"
T: "Hurry we must lock down the school he may still be inside" - augmental, on 10/12/2007, -10/+47Na na na na, na na na na...BATMAN!! na na na na, na na na na...BATMAN!!

- mazerrackham, on 10/12/2007, -3/+37My money says its a poorly thought out ad campaign for the upcoming movie Batman Sweats
- DrewBlood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+32Robin struck you as Michael Jacksonesque? Batman is the one that keeps recruiting little boys as his sidekicks!
- KyleRayner, on 10/12/2007, -6/+37"The real problem is that if Batman is in Arizona, then who is defending Gotham City from the evil-doers?!?"
Probably Robin, since he wasnt sighted in Arizona with the Bat. Plus Nightwing isnt too far down the coast, Im sure the Outsiders can handle Bludhaven for a day or two.
XD I used to be such a comic geek. I miss the days when comics were actually good. - KyleRayner, on 10/12/2007, -1/+31Fools locked down because the Dark Knight showed up?! What the hell are they going to do when Two-Face or the Joker shows up?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+28It was probably a good idea to lock the schools down. I mean think about it, when's the last time you've seen Batman running around and there WASN'T something sinister going on nearby? He doesn't just show up to take a stroll, he shows up to fight crime, super villains, and other assorted deranged freaks with (or without) super powers.
- crawfishsoul, on 10/12/2007, -0/+26Fwap? That's just nasty.
- subliminalurge, on 10/12/2007, -3/+27"Irony"
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. - JimmyDushku, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24Many crazy things and people come from phoenix. This is proof of it.
- Cirrius, on 10/12/2007, -2/+25Does the principal happen to be from Boston?
- cr4ft, on 10/12/2007, -0/+23Superheroes deserve a place in society too
- CingleMolt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+23I dugg you up, but that's not irony.

Children die all the time. Where's your kid right now? Do you see him? maybe he's DEAD. - dominasian, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20"after a student at Desert Arroyo Middle School reported seeing a person dressed as Batman"
one trip too many - MagnetoWasRight, on 10/12/2007, -3/+21The police interview will go something like this:
Detective: Name?
Suspect: What are you dense? Are you retarded or something? Who the hell do you think I am? I'm the goddamn Batman. - Popdmb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Someone tell Michael Keaton he really isn't Batman already...
- Jagdwulfe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15You know I remember back a few years back during Halloween I was having Lunch with a girlfriend and saw Batman walking down the street. Next thing you know I see the Joker heading the same way. 5 minutes later the joker comes running by with Batman in hot pursuit. I thought it was the funniest thing ever.
- crawfishsoul, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12I live about two blocks from the school, didn't hear a thing about this yesterday, but I heard about it on the drive into work this morning on the radio.
Batman has obviously come to rape our women and kill our children. I'll mobilize the Concerned Cave Creek Citizens Against Running Batmen, we've been waiting for years for this to happen. I wasn't going to say it...but we told you so! - mogdor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Looks like Adam West forgot to take his medication again.
- heatman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12I also forgot *SPLAT!*
- benijuana, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12so i guess that Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas scene wasn't a hallucination after all?
- sula21, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13The Easter Bunny is a convicted felon?
- Cyrinix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11@KyleRayner
I don't score high on the comic geek cred, but isn't Robin the same person as Nightwing? - SvenHammerstahl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Robin, quick! Throw me the batman repellent!!!
- Thuktun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9@cyrinix
One Robin, Dick Grayson, becomes Nightwing. Yes, there have been more than one. Wikipedia has the details.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_%28comics%29 - mutatron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9THREE schools on lockdown after ONE student reports seeing Batman? Holy Homeland Security, Batman, what are they putting in the water supply for our citizens of the Southwest?
- p3ngu1n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Incontheeeeveable!
- tconnect80, on 10/12/2007, -5/+13Students do this crap all the time. At the college I used to attend, there was always a couple students that used to do stuff like this. In the middle of the campus there's a big field that people go to study when it's warm so one day this kid was walking through there dressed as a Ninja in all black and everyone was just looking at him awkwardly when out of one of the science buildings this other guy dressed as a ninja in all red ran out and attackd him. They battled with fake swords and fist fighting for a couple minutes and everyone got a great kick out of it before the one ran off, the other one chasing him. The next year a guy was walking around the same place dressed as Superman or something and some girl who was sitting nearby pretended to get mugged and "Superman" ran after the guy that did it and took him down on the grass.
Now why the hell do you have to shut down a college campus because some kid pulled a hilarious prank? :p - pmichaelson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9One of the many reasons Phoenix rocks! I miss it. :_(
- fuggo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Batman first appeared in a comic in 1939. A generous estimate would put him in his 80's. He's obviously retired to Phoenix as many elderly do. Unfortunately he's succumbed to Alzheimer's and got lost while going to check his mailbox.
- ProfChaosOmega, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8He really is the terror in the night.
- BillDoE, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Happened here in the 80's when my grandmother saw the Easter Bunny on her porch. She and several other people called the police. Turns out, it was a convict recently released from the Westville Correctional Center, a maximum security prison.
- 42nnn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I'm in phoenix, i didn't hear about this...he is a little far from Gotham, or maybe the student ate one too many peyote buttons
- SpoonMachine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7My name is Indigo Montoya. You killed my literary terms. Prepare to die.
