- chewbacca77, on 10/19/2007, -12/+255Wow. Those are really good. I want to go buy Legos now just to support good advertising.
- griz, on 10/20/2007, -4/+194You need an excuse to buy Legos?? Bad Geek!! No Digg!!
- chewbacca77, on 10/19/2007, -1/+143Obviously, I meant buy MORE Legos :)
- gspm, on 10/27/2007, -0/+128That ad campaign works for me because that is how Lego was when I was growing up. Nowadays, aren't the kits full of kit-specific curvy or blocky pieces? Seemed to be that the old 4x2 was a dying block with Lego sets turning into snap-together model kits. Last time I looked at Lego, at least.
- gabbagabbahey, on 10/27/2007, -4/+110No Lego thread is complete without some jackass saying,
"It's Lego not legos"
Let me be that jackass. - Lionhart, on 10/19/2007, -3/+91My childhood was legos legos legos like any other kid... However I have to ask why on earth are legos so insanely expensive nowadays?
- HonkIfUrHorny, on 10/19/2007, -3/+61Weird, when I look at them all I think of is tetris
- TrevorBradley, on 10/24/2007, -0/+57They're missing the space fighter!
Two 4x2 bricks placed in a T shape. Now place a third 4x2 brick at the top of the T. (C'mon, you can visualize it)
My brother and I made armadas of space fighters at just 3 bricks a ship. The transparent ones were invisible. - dtreichler, on 10/19/2007, -0/+56More LEGO® bricks*
- MerryMortician, on 10/19/2007, -3/+56i do miss legos. but i get called a child enough for playing video games let alone what they would say if they found me messing with legos again.
- marx2k, on 10/19/2007, -0/+48This is kind of how it worked when I had an Atari 2600 too
- aigulf, on 10/19/2007, -0/+46Embracing your inner child is about ignoring what others think. :-) Every time I go to my grandmother's house, I still break out the tub of legos and make spaceships with laser cannons.
- griz, on 10/19/2007, -1/+44I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you were born in the 80's.
- FlyCO, on 10/19/2007, -2/+41best toy ever
even now I feel compelled to buy those Lego technical kits - tehnico, on 10/19/2007, -0/+38Cloaked. ***** Romulans.
- JohnDesmarais, on 10/19/2007, -0/+36At his grandmother's house? Eeeewww!!!!!
- ckSubs, on 10/19/2007, -0/+36And it's LEGO not Lego!
- beatlawrence, on 10/19/2007, -0/+35Legos will never grow old
- ryanknapper, on 10/19/2007, -1/+34That's a trick question: It's always sexy time!
- dargon, on 10/19/2007, -0/+32meh, do you really care? Lego was, is and always will be a blast to play with
- ccheath, on 10/19/2007, -0/+26maybe you should worry about yourself more and others less
- Reese521, on 10/19/2007, -0/+24These adults that hate on us that play games need to live a little. You watch T.V. all day, I'd rather play games. Being a kid was great, why not take some of that with you into your adult life?
- crashflow, on 10/19/2007, -0/+22iif it were a cessna, it would be on top. But for a jetliner definitely on the bottom...duh.
- TedTschopp, on 10/19/2007, -0/+22Someone needs to make these into desktop backgrounds....
- accessviolation, on 10/19/2007, -0/+21Did you hear that sound? That was the message of the ad flying right over your head.
- MattB123, on 10/19/2007, -0/+19Yeah, a lot of the new sets do have all those more specialized pieces, but they still have the standard sets too. I have a four year old and one of my favorite things to do with him is build things out of Legos. We do that almost daily.
I love seeing him using his imagination, work on dexterity, and develop spacial reasoning (aka: tetris-fu) all while having fun playing. - PDave, on 10/19/2007, -2/+20Dugg for using the simple, classic blocks I had when I was a kid, not some of the BS blocks they sell today.
Oh, look, this block is the left half of the airplane... and this block is the right half of the airplane... *snap* I just built and airplane!
No. - nicko68, on 10/19/2007, -0/+17You must be a lot of fun to hang out with.
- andrewdunger, on 10/19/2007, -0/+16they went on top for me, but the missiles that were inevitably attached to the wings hung underneath
- LogicBomB, on 10/19/2007, -3/+19That's actually very, very good advertising. It's simple, gives you a warm feeling inside and you instnatly know from looking at it what it's trying to say.
As a marketing graduate I really enjoyed this :) - clemdionisio, on 10/19/2007, -0/+14How else could it do a 4G negative dive? They were inverted
- Konstantino, on 10/19/2007, -1/+15Yeah, this is really amazing graphic design. It's so simple, but it has so much impact.
- esotericguy, on 10/19/2007, -0/+13so by the transitive property, legos=$90 a barrel
and by a google search:: 1 barrel = 117.347766 liters
so how many legos fit into a barrel? (must show work) - cbartlett, on 10/25/2007, -1/+14I'm 25. My wife is 27. We play with Lego frequently. There's no shame in that.
- FlyCO, on 10/19/2007, -0/+13you can get laid once.. but being a pain in the ass won't get you laid AGAIN
- givinupthefight, on 10/19/2007, -0/+13"Seriously, no kid is going to make an airplane out of two blocks."
I can't remember the last time I was in some waiting room with a children's section and I didn't see some kids doing EXACTLY that. Sorry that you never had an imagination. You missed out. - JirkJiggler, on 10/19/2007, -0/+13Don't have to be an ad guy or gal to appreciate these. Simple and beautiful.
- shadowblade989, on 10/19/2007, -0/+13Future aerospace engineers.
- shortarabguy, on 10/19/2007, -0/+12I'm awestruck. Either you're crazy for writing that, an ***** for mocking him like that, or just bored out of your freaking mind.
- 1iProd, on 10/19/2007, -0/+12Great ad and great product. I want legos again.
- iChainsaw, on 10/19/2007, -0/+12he wants MOAR
- sb76117, on 10/21/2007, -0/+10WORDPRESS LINKS SUCK ON DIGG!
http://duggmirror.com/offbeat_news/Awesome_Lego_Ad ... - J0hnD0e, on 10/19/2007, -1/+10Please someone turn them into 1280x800 wallpapers.
Thank You - mattbdavis, on 10/19/2007, -1/+10Legos = plastic, plastic = oil, oil = approx $90 a barrel
I'd probably play with them too if they weren't so costly. - inactive, on 10/20/2007, -3/+12Alternate Location:

- whatever1, on 10/19/2007, -0/+9our children are ***** nuts.
- Pie4Weebl, on 10/19/2007, -0/+9this threads makes me excited to someday have kids just so I can play with legos again
