The next big thing on the web (next?) will be interest specific social networks where you don't have the spend 20% of the bandwidth disagreeing with 5% that won't shut up (or keep voting for bush). And when it comes to ad revenue some of those sites actualy do very good because the ads are more targeted and enjoy better hit rates.
