- Plasmatica, on 12/29/2007, -8/+228Only amusing for a couple of minutes a day.
- Dumbledorito, on 12/29/2007, -6/+113So is most of the internet. What's your point?
- heavystone, on 12/29/2007, -0/+65Much like a guy using the word "fell" instead of "feel" eh? ;)
- inactive, on 12/29/2007, -3/+53I WANT TO BELIEVE
- wiirdo, on 12/29/2007, -2/+47But very creative!
- screensnot, on 12/29/2007, -4/+35And only at certain times of the year.
- DreamVsPs2, on 12/29/2007, -12/+39That kid must fell pretty stupid after he realized what was going on.
- smurf22, on 12/29/2007, -3/+20I hate when everyone thinks that something clever that is graffiti is the work of Banksy. Go to the stencil revolution and see what other people have done, some are even better then Banksy.
- crimson138, on 12/29/2007, -0/+10I believe that the title says "Amusing" not "Amazing"
- wordsofwisedumb, on 12/30/2007, -0/+10Depending on the orientation of the objects making the shadow, either of you could be right. It might only line up for a few days twice a year, symmetrical around a line between the summer and winter solstice, or it could be that every day it lines up at a slightly different time. Again it all depends on the orientation of the objects that make the shadows and the object the light falls on.
- TheAkolyte, on 12/30/2007, -1/+10Now now, im sure his fall was perfectly graceful.
- theholyraptor, on 04/07/2008, -1/+7Yea you can. No light source is that close to sunlight. Even if they had some elaborate stage lighting with color gels etc, I don't think they could get that kind of color other then from the sun.
- quiznos, on 12/30/2007, -1/+7No, the sun moves back and forth between solstices over the year so it would be 'ideal' twice a year. I'm sure the effect can be noticed a lot more than a few minutes a year
- cfuse, on 12/30/2007, -5/+11Only because they are miserable *****.
- chubbybubba, on 12/29/2007, -0/+6Dugg just for being Low Tech. f-u LEDs!
- ATH025, on 12/29/2007, -0/+5Lame.
- FearFactory, on 12/30/2007, -0/+5THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE
- edwintait, on 12/29/2007, -0/+5and with that, the day walker was taken back to his home on planet ginger
- SIant, on 12/30/2007, -0/+5what the ***** is a pedifile.
- Pogoh, on 12/29/2007, -2/+6It's too quick and cartoony to be a Banksy. He would have people or rats. This also in the states. Banksy sprays in Uk cities
- FoxOrian, on 12/30/2007, -0/+4Interesting, its not every day you find a stock photo worthy to be its own standalone piece.
- BevansDesign, on 12/30/2007, -0/+4Yea, that's how Digg works. Get used to it. Push the "Bury" button and move on.
- wrangler1390, on 12/29/2007, -1/+5its a painting
- KingGorilla, on 12/30/2007, -0/+4Oh I'm sorry if you had to see this post twice. I apologize for the inconvenience it has caused you
- JayEss, on 12/29/2007, -0/+4Its Knurt, the Gentoo flying saucer!
- BasicShape, on 12/30/2007, -0/+4That "trick" of light is called a shadow.
- yojiffyskippy, on 12/30/2007, -2/+6I must have missed it then. I'm glad someone posted it again. You may find this hard to believe but not everybody visits digg every day. Real shocker huh?
- chuckpenzone, on 12/30/2007, -0/+3The aliens are trying to figure out where the dumb ass parents are who left their kid standing in the exit lane of a parking garage. If he's lucky he'll get abducted.
- RetiredExplorer, on 12/30/2007, -1/+4um... no its not.
- itsatrapadbar, on 12/29/2007, -1/+4ah...now i see what they did.
- Abominous, on 12/29/2007, -19/+22That's very clever
- Halokhan, on 12/30/2007, -1/+4I just got his book, "Wall and Piece", I am really impressed with his artwork. Very clever and unique. His work in the museum is hilarious, what I way to stick it to the man.
- chkdg8, on 12/30/2007, -0/+3What would be really cool is to do some time lapse photography so that it can appear as though the light beam is searching from side to side!
- pjsk8, on 12/30/2007, -0/+3I imagine he did, though I'm pretty sure I'd "feel" pretty stupid after an anal probing as well.
- smurf22, on 12/29/2007, -1/+4I'd doubt it. Its to simplistic even though it is clever. Also the paint is running which would mean the paint can was closer then 5 inches to the wall, which would contradict his book always keep the can 6-7 inches away. ;)
- AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -2/+5Oh I know some people are better than Banksy.
I just said it resembles his work, thats why I wondered if it was his.. - AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -0/+2Hmm. That's a good point. Good catch.
- sdigroup, on 12/30/2007, -0/+2we will see this again on dig in 2 weeks. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,kevin its time to fix this issue over old news
- antdude, on 12/30/2007, -0/+2Quick, someone get Fox Mudler and Dana Scully about this find!
- adeadwaffle, on 12/30/2007, -1/+2Woah I read this as a response to Plasmatica and then as a response to wiirdo, and it sorta makes sense both ways
- inactive, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1looks like an oil painting to me
- iamh2, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1Total photoshop, everyone knows ginger kids cant be in sunlight.
and daywalkers are just a myth. - Adamesq, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1Are scans from amusing calendars and comic strips this popular on Digg these days too?
- CharliesRevenge, on 12/31/2007, -0/+1***** Christ. NOT EVERYONE HAS SEEN IT.
Sometimes, other digg users don't see or aren't online at all to see it the first time, so they dig it up when they do.
It's not that hard of a concept. - KingGorilla, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1and the middle east
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -0/+1Woah
- peoplearestange, on 12/31/2007, -0/+1hahaha. i love how simple things can chear me up for the whole day.
- screensnot, on 12/30/2007, -1/+2It doesn't have to be the exact same time of day, just that it lines up on that day.
It should look like it lines up for a few days in a row, at two different times of year. Unless it only lines up on the solstice, in which case it will only work at one time of year, but will look very close to lined up on several days in a row. Of course, the number of days it works will depend on what you consider "lined up". - andyakadum, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1*Head asplode*
- Datawalke, on 12/30/2007, -0/+1He doesn't have it sign it. It's Banksy. -- One of the best artists out there.
