- sturdiusmaximus, on 10/11/2007, -6/+33I now fully support gay marriage, just so I can marry this guy.
- DeskFlyer, on 10/11/2007, -3/+25Well, at least some woman's basement has some extra room now.
- phuzzy3d, on 10/11/2007, -0/+15Your lack of inner-child is disturbing!
- malcolmreynolds, on 10/11/2007, -6/+18This reminds of that guy who made that firefly lego set. It was pretty awesome.
EDIT:
Sorry for the comment abuse, but here is the linky to the lego-firefly website. It looks pretty insane, and it took the guy forever to make.

- mattmcm, on 10/11/2007, -4/+12This Lego set looks freakin' sweet. It must've taken those guy ages to make.
- porterfield, on 10/11/2007, -4/+11Then you should reevaluate your priorities in life.

you comment on here you say yourself it is not a dupe
however the story you linked to was submitted by yourself
although relevant it has next to nothing to do with this
also the content of said story is written by you
next time just link directly to what you are talking about

your above comment is spam twice.....
not to mention the original source is actually an add...
is there such thing as triple spam?
:S - BobsYourUncle, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7I have neither the creativity or passion that these people have. But I'm glad I get to see what they produce. That was awesome!
- PeppermintPig, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Lego is awesome, but each to their own, I suppose...
Nice Bantha. - iEnigma, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5The Force is strong with this one!
I need to get out more. - rblancarte, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Not as much as the builder of this lego set does.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Oops, try reading some of the comments up there before posting your own, less funny version.
- jimmiejaz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Remeber once, when LEGO was just bricks, plates, and there were no real sets, and it took imagination to build something. I remember building the Death Star out of the 4x2 bricks, sure, it was blocky, but it all came from what I saw in the theatre, and my 7 year old memory.
I'm not knocking the sets, but they're not as impressive as someone that cuts it out of paper, or uses a non-model set.
Got my digg (obviously) - antron, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Mos Eisley?!
But I wanted a Lego model Tashi station!
(to pick up some power converters) - Codename, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Wow, that's crazy. I once made a plane out of three LEGO's and I thought that was good. haha
- tghd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Your blind there is no wood. 100% Lego. Yes most are prebuilt sets but a lot of those are custome made structures.
- freonchill, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3i just wish they had 1024x768 or larger quality images all rar/zip up...
- macbookpromat, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Am I the only one to know about http://www.fbtb.net/customs/index.asp?section=gallery ?
I've seen so many of these things that it's not all new to me but I still wish I had that many bricks. - Spr0k3t, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Buried as "Amazing"
I love legos - amercer, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Apparently the King of All Cosmos is a big Lego fan.
- tghd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3wtf is that
- cvh™, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2This was an official LEGO event.
- titlesaysitall, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2These things are addicting though. My little brother got a Bionicle set for his birthday in April and got me hooked. Now I have 12 of them on my desk right now.
- ToastyMallows, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2That's awesome.
Very awesome. - kcpwnsgman, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3if theres one picture that says hes a virgin, its this one:

just kidding, I actually do think its awesome. - timm47d, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I'm sorry but my favorite is UK Garrison - pt.3, lower right. The 350 lbs Jedi kills me......
- Darksaber11, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yeah, I know what you mean. Those guys still rock though, I certainly don't have the patience to do that.
- PdxPhoenix, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1@SmegFirk (#6891039)
I'm just curious as to how they got the _Millennium Falcon_™ as it's not going to be released until October... Must be nice to have connections...lol - SmegFirk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1You can buy the Falcon, Star destroyer and several others. It's just over 5000 pieces UK shop > http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=10179&cn=416&d=322&CMP=KAC-GOOGEU&HQS=lego+millennium+falcon
- intilli4, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Dude that is some of the BEST lego Star Wars sets ever made. IMO
- wilf_brim, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Strong work there. All I can say is: a wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be careful.
- Spr0k3t, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Instead of "Amazing" they should have used "Breaking" or "Fantastic" or even "Never before seen". Just do a search for "Amazing" on Digg and you'll have a better understanding of why it is hated so much. Legos + Star Wars = twice the fun!
- dArt8, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1When I was 10 - 15 years old i used to build impressive dog which could move legs, head etc.
I tried to do same half year ago (~10 years later after first attempt). But it was much worse i had not enough details. Anyway here is my dog building attempt.
http://balabonai.com/plo/images/__vent__s/kal__dos2006_antra_diena/kaledos2006_2_06.jpg - Eccohawk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I guess I'll chime in here since people that read this later on ought to have at least a semblance of truth with their digg comments....
First off, this was a club that did this, not a single person. Each member of the group built a portion of the display.
Secondly, the falcon shown in the display is an older set that retailed for around 80 dollars if I remember, and it is not the $500 U.C.S. (That's Ultimate Collector's Edition) version that was mentioned and linked to earlier in the comments which has around 5000 pieces.
Third, the display is not a "pre-fabricated" design from LEGO (aside from the aforementioned Falcon as noted above), but rather a custom designed layout by this group. Everything was still based on their imaginations, creativity, and most likely picture books from the movies.
Fourth, this was at a public expo event, and the LEGO bricks on display there aren't owned by any one person, but more likely dozens of hobbyists each with their own collections. Public expo events are comprised almost entirely out of custom creations and designs, and they are not a display of pre-made LEGO-designed sets.
And Finally, as anyone who actually builds with LEGO for a hobby will tell you, we don't use non-LEGO elements in our displays... There's no glue, no wooden frames, no nails or Megabloks, either. 99.9% of the time it's only unmodified LEGO elements. (IE, no cutting elements in half, or damaging an element to make it fit in a space it shouldn't.) And it's also considered taboo to paint them as well, though you will see custom stickers made quite often, and those are considered to be alright. - titlesaysitall, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1You "prey" on these kinds of people? You a cannibal or something?
- poseitom, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1you can always make yourself a portrait out of Lego http://users.pandora.be/grasmus.productions.bvba1/nl/legokoppen.htm
- cvh™, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1i would almost give them like my left testicle to be there...

Buried as...amazing? - vornan19, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I liked making Lego cars with rack and pinion steering. If I got a hold of a couple of sets it'd be the first thing I made.
- oneshare325, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1hot!
- boozedrinker, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2I am sorry...but compared to some Lego models we have seen on here, this is weak.
Still dugg for good effort, though. - gizmocom, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Thanks Eccohawk for posting some sane comments on this! I am actually part of the the LEGO club that put this display on and was there manning the display for the 2 days.
I can confirm that it is all made of LEGO, none modified or altered or anything. The only wood that was involved was the table it was sat on! I think everything apart from a couple of the vehicles (T16 and Landspeeder come to mind) are not from sets, they are designed from scratch with no instructions. They were based on the films, video game and printed references by studying them carefully and them trying to build them in LEGO.
It was made by about 8 people in around 3 months (spare time only) and you are correct in thinking that everyone brought stuff to put together on the day.
One thing you did get slightly wrong though was the Falcon. It IS the UCS version that is coming out later this year. It was lent to us by TLC especially for the display and was one of only 2 prototypes made at the time (there was no instructions then, so we had to make sure not to break it!). We also put on the same kind of display for the Star wars 'Celebration Europe' event in London's Excel Centre. So now you know how massive the Docking Bay 94 really is! - gizmocom, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Thanks Eccohawk for posting some sane comments on this! - NoobSaibot, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0haha, these were taken at the UK national space centre in my town :-D
- PurgueFlantar, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1OK, I'm going to say it, so please don't Digg me down too hard: what is with all the lego dioramas etc lately? I'm not impressed. Look at the pictures, about 3/4 of the stuff isn't even legos, it's wood or something then they glue legos onto the tops of the wood. Big deal.
Please, no more lego Diggs. - BobaFettTDG, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1I once made a LEGO model of Mos Espa...yeah...it sucked.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Damn, I prey for people like this.
