A cool site - it's not what I expected
jeshderox.com — I like the music, but I'm not sure about the content.
- 1746 diggs
- digg it
- DarkStarAtMac, on 10/11/2007, -2/+64Yes, nice music. If you follow the "Journal"-link, the artists (and song names) are listed there:
Amy Seeley - Gravel Lines
Dawn Landes - Kissing Song
Micah Slavens - Easy on a Wedding Ring
The first two can be found on iTunes, btw.
Oh, and I like the photos too :)- masamunecyrus, on 10/11/2007, -9/+52My favorite portfolio site is
http://www.orisinal.com/
It's a very calm site, similar to this one, but there are dozens of tiny, very innovative flash games. I'd suggest checking it out; it's very unique. - PaulOwen, on 10/11/2007, -5/+12It's very beautiful.
And a bit schmaltzy. - xmlionheart, on 10/11/2007, -2/+17First song I've purchased on iTunes, and first music I've bought in the past 4 years. (Amy Seeley)
- Archon810, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5Jesh's blog has many more pictures and I actually preferred to look at that than his site. http://jeshderoxweddings.blogspot.com/
I wouldn't think twice if i had to pick a photographer for my wedding. - weeeezzll, on 10/11/2007, -6/+1Doesn't appear to be working anymore. Must be getting hammered by diggers...
- pmuaddib, on 10/11/2007, -13/+2Erm, where could one download these songs (;-p) other than Itunes.
- malang12, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9beautiful music or not, they are an absolutely amazing photographer, so many of those shots are the sort of things you'd keep on your wall for the rest of your life, and still smile every time you looked at them
- ippersiel, on 10/11/2007, -1/+15After listening to that music, I went over to emusic and downloaded all the tunes I could find from Amy Seeley.
It melted all anger I had from a confrontation I had earlier today. - x987, on 10/11/2007, -5/+5these photos and music make me feel alive.
complex and yet simple, like an unpolished pebble in a cool spring fed stream. - vare2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11Makes me want to fall in love and get married
- Rocketbird, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9...Damn it, and I was doing so well pretending like I never wanted to or cared to be in love
- zouhair, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1If you put the mouse on the phone icon too
- jiggawoot, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5While this site is quite well designed, and the work is really beautiful, this page is really really crap if you've just broken up with someone.
- Erik1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I'm a surreal ladybug...
does that mean I'm gay? - shil01, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This site has inspired me to be a better photographer. Awesome shots with excellent post-production.
The music was very fitting. - evilregis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1@vare2 (#6656187)
...falling in love and getting married will change your mind. :D I kid. Happily married almost one year here. I only wish I had been able to find a similarly talented photographer. Ours was good, but that work is absolutely brilliant. - Armitage2k, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1how does something like this, with NO description that means anything make it to the top?
- masamunecyrus, on 10/11/2007, -9/+52My favorite portfolio site is
- FameMoney, on 10/11/2007, -3/+35Dugg for the funny description.
- chewitt, on 10/11/2007, -2/+17?
This is the least descriptive story post ever. - spyrochaete, on 10/11/2007, -7/+36"A cool site - it's not what I expected"
These words are almost identical to those I get from spammers in email and on my blog. If a submitter can't spend 3 seconds writing a proper description I just assume it's advertising. - carmaa, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8@chewitt
Got you interested, didn't it? Job done, as far as I'm concerned. Stop complaining about descriptions, some things are better explored than told. Beautiful site, really nailed my mood :) - diaverde238, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2It was funny because the "content" is mostly wedding photos. Zaibatsu not being sure about the content is funny. Come on, people, it's not that cryptic.
- chewitt, on 10/11/2007, -2/+17?
- Alex76, on 10/11/2007, -1/+38Hello blessed Tiger, life is precious, thank you for being here... Hmmmm. Zen master...
- SeaMowse, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5Ditto on that - I got the same response. :-)
- Azimuth1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+69I'm a nostalgic leaf.
- fudged71, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9surreal mountain
- BornLegend, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Hello fellow surreal mountain. =)
- vicgupta, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6I'm a nostalgic leaf too! I want to hear something with passion ...
- ajkrik, on 10/11/2007, -0/+62I got "twisted pervert" . . . did I do something wrong?
- mpphan, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2No way! I got nostalgic leaf that wants some passion too!
- noseeme, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I don't see why. It just makes him look stupid and lazy. (like me, only it seems people like it when he does it)
- RichGC, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Damn I also picked nostalgic leaf and passion... im such a sheep. bah.
- Drexus, on 10/11/2007, -2/+72Excellent delivery method. What's not to like about the content? He's a good photographer. The flash is uncluttered and effective - an achievement in today's web normally filled with design for the sake of design.
- Xageroth, on 10/11/2007, -0/+19This is actually pretty genius. With the content organized in themes you're most likely to see something you will like. Definitely one of the most solid portfolio sites I've seen.
- HerrEisenheim, on 10/11/2007, -0/+20There are VERY few good examples of how to use Flash in a way that actually "enhances" the presentation, delivery or functionality. Despite how slow this is running (I suspect from the bandwidth drain), this is very good. It's so good that it actually kept my attention for more than 30 seconds, which most Flash-based sites fail to do because I get too frustrated with poor navigation.
Also a very skilled photographer who's nothing short of amazing at post-production. Damn.
+1
- NuPagady, on 10/11/2007, -0/+55I usually close the page if I see a flash intro, but this time I really enjoyed it. Inspiring and really well done.
- saleem, on 10/11/2007, -9/+4::sigh::
- GodsHand, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Incredible photographer.
- zephc, on 10/11/2007, -0/+25http://www.yourparade.com/media/users/jeshderox/songs/song_30.mp3
- pmuaddib, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Thanks.
- noreturn, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2I don't know, man. There's something about taking a song from a budding artist that just doesn't feel right. And I'm by no means a person that is used to buying his music.
- JoshuaH, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Really nice design, but I think the link in the bottom left throws it.
- borninda818, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11slowing down...i predict a crash
- willorbill1, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4Its Officialy cooked.
looks like Nostadamus^ was correct.
DuggMirror to the rescue!
- willorbill1, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4Its Officialy cooked.
- Kflo, on 10/11/2007, -19/+4emo to the extremo
- liah, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Gorgeous. :)
- 6ixed, on 10/11/2007, -5/+10All I can say about the site is it's quite nice, pleasant and neat. It made me feel nice about myself today. And it's nice and sunny and bright outside.
- 6ixed, on 10/11/2007, -12/+8Sorry about the gay comment. I guess I got carried away.
- sandfish, on 10/11/2007, -5/+2Yes... yes you did.
- Aidanjalali, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7This is a beautiful site. The full-screen flash, and lovely hi-res textures do it for me.
- s14sh3r, on 10/11/2007, -7/+2http://duggmirror.com
- LeNoir, on 10/11/2007, -47/+6Buried as Gay.
- xxTazxx, on 10/11/2007, -3/+18Well...it would explain the stereotype for gay people being extremely creative...
- gmprunner, on 10/11/2007, -1/+22@LeNoir
Same to you. - Hybred1234, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1LOL, that made me laugh so hard for some reason...
- MrMax182, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Amazing work, pretty emotive
- ElbridgeGerry, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4http://duggmirror.com
^ It works now. - edm1950, on 10/11/2007, -5/+2frustrating site to use if you're more interested in the photography than the web wizardry.
- ThatGirlTasha, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10Thank you-this is what I needed today.
- DocHoliday22, on 10/11/2007, -4/+3I'll be on that site every night when I go to sleeep... Nice relaxing...Boootiful
- VampireBadger, on 10/11/2007, -8/+1I want my bandwidth back !
- kuukie, on 10/11/2007, -5/+4Digger, please!
Undesciptive title is undescriptive. - sirjtaa, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Hardly looks complete.
- JusticeAK, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3hello surreal mountain
- slackerxpc, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0really nice gallery / layout. by far one of the more effective uses of flash I have ever seen.
- Neme, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Not only is the site beautiful, but the man is an amazing photographer. I found myself grinning and smiling at a lot of his pictures--he has the uncanny ability to capture people and their most heartfelt expressions.
Very nice music, too. Thanks, zephc, for posting the link to them.- dancenhance, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Agreed. Good site. Might need to hire his programmer!
- Holocaust, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Really interesting site...Grr...Oh how I envy people that not only are good with their work, but hell! They even have a sweet looking site to show it all of...
- Holocaust, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2@xxTazxx
haha, true...
That is kind of weird though...
When femininity is placed in a guy's hands, it always seems to give off such positive results...
Damn, women...As if the whole "male-dominance" thing was not bad enough, now you have guys that are better than being you...awkward... - osbjmg, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Nice music, very very skilled photographer, but the site doesn't work so well. Kinda like his disregard for capitalization, the site doesn't flow.
Still, very impressed with the photography, wow. - darlyn, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Very artsy site. I absolutely love the serenity of it.
- merdiesel, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Thats how you use photoshop with out letting it take over the photograph and still have a natural feel to it... Very impressive.
oh... and cool site too. - popothebright, on 10/11/2007, -12/+3Huh? This site is totally cheesy. 582 Diggs? Ouch, people.
- PrettyMuchBryce, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Yeah am I missing something? The music sounds like something you'd hear from kelly clarkson.
- SomaPhotos, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0i'm totally with you boss. twee in the extreme. sickly, gooey, sentimental. some nice photography but that intro made me want to gag.
- weedancer, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9Is it just me or does anyone feel like hugging a tree after that opening?
- badapplestudio, on 10/11/2007, -7/+2I went to the site. And suddenly, I got my period, I ran to the fridge for some Yoplait and turned on the TV looking for a Gilmore Girls episode...
- omarqaz7, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Thanks for the 411.
- morrislevy, on 10/11/2007, -6/+2Buried for OK, THIS IS LAME.
- jeshjohn, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Whoa my name is Jeshua.. Small world.. I am assuming his full name is Jeshua.
- montyjeans, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I really love this guy's work... he's got an uncanny ability to make wedding photos actual art.
Also, I have to say it's really funny how mad some people get when there's a post that isn't about spider man, gadgets or lara croft. - opiophile, on 10/11/2007, -3/+0You libs. Gotta love yer hippie pot smoking free love i Hate Bush sites. Where's the I feel like killing me some iraqi terrorists option? Get your priorities straight, damnit!
- wiremonkeymommy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1excellent photowork!
- jellygraph, on 10/11/2007, -5/+2a bit gaey... like butt secs
;)
i was just looking for a reason to say that, - RobotCitizen, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Great photographs, and a beautiful site. I'd love to have those backgrounds as wallpapers but they are part of the Flash. Is that possible?
- montyjeans, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0i think he has a link about them on his blog.
- allholy1, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1http://www.yourparade.com/media/users/jeshderox/songs/
-download them all here.. you can also go to the parent directories and download everyone elses music - NickFeldman, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1this is a really amazing site⦠not only is the photography great, but the website and music are actually really moving. and the customizable content is pretty sweet, and not something you see every day.
- LembasBread, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Well designed, innovative, but unappealing and boring. I suppose I just can't appreciate mushy photography and long intros.
- monolift, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0i don't really think this counts as an intro. asking a quiz to see if your potential clients think like you isn't an intro... it's qualifying process. you can hate it if you want, but don't call it an intro. (personally i really enjoyed it.)
- bgfinkel, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1@azimuth1
me too...high five! - truegodofwar, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1***** hippies

Enjoy! - NevinW11, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Very well done design and the music compliments the site so beautifully.
- parkermauney, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2I was expecting photographs of nature, not horny couples.
