- mvandemar, on 09/18/2008, -7/+93Now there's a man who knows how to put all the pieces together and see the big picture!
- kimathi, on 09/19/2008, -0/+57Dugg for his wife's comment after the article.
- blackrage, on 09/18/2008, -4/+42Legos + Obama = Front Page

- chops76, on 09/18/2008, -1/+25You misspelled "crap."
- MixMastaKooz, on 09/18/2008, -0/+22Pfft...I'd be more impressed if it was a macaroni portrait! ;)
- SEANWOOKIE, on 09/19/2008, -0/+17I think they should call him Block Obama.
- doctechnical, on 09/19/2008, -0/+13"It's not black enough.
Sincerely,.
Al Sharpton" - ricksite, on 09/19/2008, -0/+13My question is what are people like YOU doing? There are plenty of hours in the day to do stuff. Don't you have anything to show for it?
- v4vishal, on 09/19/2008, -1/+12Have you heard about hobbies?
- theaceoffire, on 09/19/2008, -1/+12He really stacks up against the competition... I don't think he will lego of that work easily.
- Thuktun, on 09/19/2008, -0/+10Did you read the comments?
He's married.
Why do you think he's building large images of political candidates out of LEGO bricks in his spare time? - audomatix, on 09/19/2008, -0/+9I would have given him wheels.
- jimbocook, on 09/19/2008, -1/+9It's now available at http://brickportraits.com/lego-barack-obama.html
- darny, on 09/19/2008, -0/+8"The shading on the upper lip took me two hours."
- cloudberries, on 09/19/2008, -3/+11No, it's a picture of Obama made out of lego
- bayouJosh, on 09/19/2008, -2/+10Obama + anything = Front Page
- theaceoffire, on 09/19/2008, -0/+8I managed to digg 328254 stories, comment 3021 times, and accept 32 friends in the last hour...
Yeah for hard work! - cloudberries, on 09/19/2008, -0/+7I liked that. It made me smile. I was expecting a tirade of political nonsense, but instead, a simple, sweet reminder of why people do things.
- deadprezident, on 09/19/2008, -1/+7I found it cute too.
- morninglorii, on 09/19/2008, -1/+7Cool, but it would be much cooler if it was 3D.
- ChocChunkOaties, on 09/19/2008, -0/+5I can't wait til i get married & have kids so i have an excuse to play with my LEGO again without looking mental. I've kept them all - 12V lego trainsets, castle lego, space lego - the lot.
I can see it now - "No son, it's daddy's LEGO - Go ask your mother to go and get you some of your own, tell her you want this one - *points to starwars lego in toys catalogue. - guyinjapan, on 09/19/2008, -1/+6I like the guy, but it's scary how single-minded and intense his supporters have become. For evidence, look at how much I've probably been buried.
- Ugoff, on 09/19/2008, -0/+5"I want to cut his blocks off"
- Jesse Jackson - StevenBullen, on 09/19/2008, -1/+6Nothing wrong with the great lego. :)
- SuminderJi, on 09/19/2008, -0/+5Uhh I'm sure He cares for his grandparents.
- Skitzzo, on 09/19/2008, -1/+6Hey everyone, I've contacted my host but until they get their act together you can see the pics here: http://brickportraits.com/lego-barack-obama.html
- podjah, on 09/19/2008, -7/+11so let's see you do one. get to it, I'm waiting to see your submission so I can see how well you did.
ass clown - pacificislandr4, on 09/19/2008, -3/+7Kinda cool. Just keep it away from Hillary.
- Skitzzo, on 09/19/2008, -0/+4That's a link to a video about a completely different lego creation.
I've uploaded the actual pics here: http://brickportraits.com/lego-barack-obama.html - Thuktun, on 09/19/2008, -0/+4Translation: "I'm not sure my wife is going to want" == "My wife said that's enough".
A married geek does well to listen to what his wife says. - whodoes, on 09/19/2008, -0/+4a little OCD goes a long way
- inactive, on 09/19/2008, -3/+7Mirror: http://revver.com/video/737314/barack-obama-like-y ...
- stuma9000, on 09/19/2008, -0/+4Mirror anyone?
- fivo7, on 09/19/2008, -0/+3looks great
- Skitzzo, on 09/19/2008, -0/+3http://brickportraits.com/lego-barack-obama.html
- Syric, on 09/19/2008, -0/+3It's always very ironic to see comments like "Way too much time on your hands"... on the Internet.
People have these things called "hobbies". They enjoy them. - Ragzouken, on 09/19/2008, -2/+5Don't have the guts? Are you trying to say that there's some large amount of courage involved in putting Lego bricks on a board to emulate pixels?
- Skitzzo, on 09/19/2008, -0/+3http://brickportraits.com/lego-barack-obama.html
- kismetropolis, on 09/19/2008, -0/+3Strange how, for some people, "institutionalized racism needs to be abolished for us to grow as a country" seems to translate to "does not care for/hates white people", particularly when some white people have, even after the end of slavery and civil rights, done things to keep the lines between the races drawn.
Perhaps you should try reading his speech, "A More Perfect Union" from earlier this year, and see if that helps you see the distinction between the two better.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWe7wTVbLUU - Skitzzo, on 09/19/2008, -0/+3I just made a 30"x30" portrait of a political figure out of Legos... that's the epitome of geekish!
- PrinceMissile, on 09/19/2008, -2/+5I think he was being sarcastic. Well played, cloudberries...
- cloudberries, on 09/19/2008, -1/+4Yep, that alone invalidates the whole project. I say we should apply this logic to all paintings and artworks. Why, even Da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa by looking at a girl and copying down what he saw onto a canvas. What is the world of art coming to!
- elnerdo, on 09/19/2008, -0/+3Wow, you have in fact commented over 4000 times. Insane. That's more than I've done, and I don't have a life!
- daltonmc, on 09/19/2008, -0/+2Almost as cool as the Yoda, Smeagol, and Stephen Colbert lego mosaics found here:
http://mocpages.com/home.php/3023 - Skitzzo, on 09/19/2008, -0/+2And it's down again. These guys are clowns...
- tbredofsin, on 09/19/2008, -1/+3Don't approve of the hero worship. Dugg simply for the artistic accomplishment.
- jimbocook, on 09/19/2008, -0/+2And back at the original server: http://2hangmen.com/archives/lego-obama.php
- reyalp, on 09/19/2008, -0/+2It is patently impolite to mock or otherwise make fun of retarded people.
- kamikaze87, on 09/19/2008, -5/+7Wow. Worship much?
