- growlzor, on 10/11/2007, -4/+59Its just a Bentley with a Hyundai emblem on it. FTI "Some rich people have too much time on their hands and a sick sense of humor. Witness this, a perfectly good Bentley Continental GT adorned with Hyundai badges"
Technically its not worth $200k anymore either, the Hyundai emblem lowered the value at least a hundred grand - o0adam0o, on 10/11/2007, -0/+27This guys is a genius! ... he did it for Hyundai's 10yr 100,000 mile warranty! Just take it to the Hyundai dealership and demand it be servviced, the techs. will never notice!
- fixty, on 10/11/2007, -3/+27My guess is the owner cares about owning quality but doesn't give a ***** what other people think and he's just trying to lower the chances that anyone tries to steal his wheels. Seems a cheap and effective way to do so. I kinda sorta respect the rich ***** :)
oh, and monkeycatDx - rtfa. - CanadaMan87, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18Read the *****' article next time.
- grzelakc, on 10/11/2007, -3/+18Hyundai's quality has been steadily increasing and easily surpasses most European car makers like Volkswagen, Renault or Daimler. If you don't believe me check out consumer reports or any other independent source that traces car reliability over time. Hyundai is not in the same league as Honda but they are much better than most European or American car makers.
And no, I don't drive a Hyundai but if they did have a car that I was interested in I would not hesitate to buy a vehicle from them. Something I cannot say about Volkswagen or Chevrolet. - jamesallen74, on 10/11/2007, -4/+15Hyundai's of 2007 are WAY better than the old 1990's crap. They are now better than ANY american car, and JD Power rates them at #3 in overall QUALITY OVER Toyota. Only Lexus and Porsche beats them out.
Check out any of the Consumer Reports where they show a graph comparing 1999 thru 2007. All the marks consistenly IMPROVE to GOOD or GREAT.
Ford and GM pieces of crap can't touch that. - Lemming882, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11Dugg up! Sick of all the people that have been bashing Hyundai. I do own one of their cars and it has been the best car I have ever owned. I will probably buy my next car from them.
- dmurray14, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Actually, it's nothing like that. It's like someone putting a Walmart tag on upscale clothing.
- EclipseGSX, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Anyone who thinks this is any more than someone with a lot of cash and a good sense of humor is simply not getting it. Of course you know it's a Bentley... even complete morons would know that it's a joke. He even has the $1 plastic Hyundai dealership license plate surround, which even legitimate Hyundai owners take off once they get their car home.
And no... this didn't lower the value of the car. If anything, it made it unique, and more valuable to a person with a similar sense of humor. Badges are never welded on these days, it's a soluble glue which is easily removed with heat and adhesive dissolver, leaving no trace whatsoever. - dan537, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7You're slow.

direct link to pics - Error601, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Let see...how many people didn't RTFA...
- jeremyduffy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I don't know. Seems like a pretty good theft deterrant to me. Disguise your car as a cheaper one.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I think the obvious proof of Hyundai quality is the fact that they can offer a 100,000 mile warranty and not lose their asses on it. They are excellent cars and for the price you pay they are probably the best deal on the road.
And yes, I own a Hyundai. I bought it for the warranty and the price and the fact that the cars look pretty damn nice too. In fact, I have more people compliment me on it than those that say bad things about it.
Not sure why so many diggers are ripping on Hyundai right now. I suspect they have never owned or driven one. - RoroCo, on 10/11/2007, -5/+9As crazy as this is, it is still a joke - unlike the VW Phaeton - which should have been a joke.
- BOBcat5785, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Does it come with a 10 year 100,000 mile (whatever comes first) warranty still?
- UncleHenry, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5I have a brand new 2007 Hyundai Elantra. Best damn car I've ever owned. GREAT deal for a car only $16k. I am now a Hyundai man!
- lobuzz311, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3It looks nothing like a porch! It doesn't look like a Porsche, either, but it sure doesn't look like a porch!
- hablo4u, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Hey Jackass . . . why don't you actually look at JD Power Quality statistics before calling brands "pieces of crap": http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2007/06/jd_power.html looks like Ford is above Hyundai in TGW.
- BobsYourUncle, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3It's spelled 'eh'.
- freeboarder1402, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6i would rather see a picture of a bently that has been in a collision with a semi truck.....;-(
- Nudar, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5pucked in your mouth? What does that mean? Something Canadian?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Brilliant. What he has done is raised the tide for all of the Hyundai owners who can afford a Hyundai and nothing else. Very humanistic and imaginative. 5 Stars +++ There really is one intelligent successful person out there who still has a clue.
- macbookpromat, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I'm Canadian and watch hockey and I don't think I've ever pucked. Doesn't seem natural like puking. The dude must be on crack.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Chances are better that it "broke" because you were a new driver that wrecked it. If you want ANY car to remain in good shape you have to actually take care of it.
Buried for being a douche. - bartofdahammer, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3You're just slow, lol
- chairlamp, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1i had two hyundai's. great cars. but that's just going too far!!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Genius! U.S Customs probably mistaken this as a Hyundai making it cheaper on tax charges!
Bet we could import Ferrari as KIA or Rolls Royce as Corolla! - kprooney, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1buried for being a waste of time
- slapthemonkey, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1He should have......Where is the problem?
- tugger, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I'm a Bentley design engineer, and I can tell you Bentley will be all over this guy. They have a serious sense-of-humour-loss over this kind of thing.. I can't remember the name of the rapper who Bentley (publicly) sued because one of his music videos showed a Bentley badge on his lawn mower..
- noreturn, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1You dupe a joke and ***** up spelling "Hyundai" in the process. I give you a fail at digg commenting.
- noseeme, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Anybody with a six+ figure income with brains wouldn't drive a Hyundai.
- asauterChicago, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Actually, I think it's more likely that he OWNS the Hyundai dealership that the license plate on the back advertises. So his motivation is probably two fold: A. He doesn't want people to think that the not even the owner would actually BE SEEN driving a Hyundai. B: It's sort of marketing, he's hoping people driving by will wonder what type of Hyundai that is and stop by his dealership.
Either way, he's a whole bunch of lame for doing it. - PabloMac, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Hyundais absolutely sucked when they first appeared in the U.S. When my father, mother, sister, brother and his wife each bought new '03 and '04 models, I almost left the family. Then I rode in and drove them. Now I want one.
- jamesallen74, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yeah, it looks like some rich a***ole is sticking his nose up to people who buy Hyundais, the working class.
- judbeasley, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Sounds like a Hyundai dealer that is too rich to drive the cars he sells, so at least he's advertising this way!
Customer "I would like the car that looks like a Bentley"
Dealer "Oh, well we don't have that one in stock, but we do have this beautiful Accent" - doogie68, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1The comments under each image on the autoblog site are different, but on the image that shows the license plate, one person noted that there is no "Hyundai of Bel Air" at the street adress listed, it's a joke.
Someone else cleverly noted that this is a great theft deterrent if you own a Bentley... - waterdrop, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1GM is building some of the best interiors in the business right now. And the quality of the modern GM cars and trucks are very good. Take a look inside a a new 07' Chevy Silverado and compare it to the Toyota, Nissan, and Dodge pickups. The Chevy/GMC pickups look like Cadillacs compared to them. Ford and GM build very good cars these days.
- retawd, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2My favorite is the licence plate holder. This is classic!
- hfactor, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Both.
- g0z3r, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0The license plate frames are a nice touch.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1hyundai's aren't bad.
- rberkes, on 08/27/2008, -0/+0I have a better one.
http://www.costamesa-hyundai.com - biggerdigger69, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Definitely NOT the world's most expensive Hyundai.
http://concretetech.com/project%20reports/images/hyundaiship.jpg - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1true, lexus IS toyota, however there are fewer lexus "branded" vehicles than toyota, toyota carries the name for the american and canadian manufactured vehicles as well which is why the reliability is lower, american made anything is garbage, the lexus vehicles are still made in japan which is why the reiliabiilty is higher.
why do you think chysler is in big *****? they went from a public to a privately own company then sold themselves to some corporation that fixes companies from going under, toyota blew them away.
toyota is now 2nd next to GM, gm will fall soon - jaydog3199, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0its his car, he can do whatever he wants to it... its better than putting a "V-TECH" sticker on it
- g0z3r, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Actually, I think it would be worse if he put a Ford or Chevy badge on it. Hyundais aren't that bad. But that's just my opinion...
