- mrASSMAN, on 10/26/2007, -3/+261So not only was she endangering her own life and the lives of the other people on the road, but also that of her two young children. Real classy, props to the kid for being more responsible and thoughtful than the mother.
- gibsonic, on 10/24/2007, -2/+136i thought it said "8yr old Mom arrested for drunk driving"...that would be bizarre on multiple levels.
- brklynmark, on 10/23/2007, -8/+116LEAVE PAULETTE LYNN SPEARS ALONE!
- fridaporvida, on 10/26/2007, -11/+108what a ***** *****.
- jamie06260, on 10/23/2007, -3/+52Some people are f*cked up. I hope she gets some help.
- LogicBomB, on 10/23/2007, -4/+42People who drink and drive - I don't mean 1 beer over the limit but who are unreasonably impaired - deserve to have their license revoked for 5 years automatically with no appeal or plea possible and a $5000 fine.
***** the drunk drivers - learn to use a cab. - daridave, on 10/23/2007, -1/+37I disagree. Seeing a kid care for his own other people's life a great story, if you ask me. Many 8 years old would be busy watching a DVD in the back nowadays, this one deserves a prize.
- jessdub99, on 10/23/2007, -8/+41Spears... heh, guess it runs in the family
- mwalker05, on 10/23/2007, -4/+35wheres the father?
- Shawn4168, on 10/24/2007, -4/+30You, sir, are an idiot. Teaching her kids to dial 911 was probabaly the only smart thing this woman's ever done. And I'm guessing that she didn't even do that.
- Cloud7654, on 10/23/2007, -9/+33Anyone else find it funny that the mom's name is Spears? Britney, anyone?
- gloriac, on 10/23/2007, -1/+25Awesome. That's a brave kid to stand up to his mom like that. It probably saved everyones lives too. Wish I could give the kid a hug.
- floridiot2, on 10/23/2007, -1/+21I know, at first I was like, "What the hell? They put kitchens in cars now??"
- PaperMonkey, on 10/24/2007, -0/+18And we are supposed to take you seriously when you type Lolzer...?
- inactive, on 10/23/2007, -0/+18That kid is going to get the living ***** beat out of him as soon as she gets out of jail.
- abbott75, on 10/23/2007, -0/+17You know way too much...
- verkon, on 10/23/2007, -0/+16well put.
- anjamerret, on 10/24/2007, -2/+17Sad story.
- Instaa, on 10/23/2007, -5/+20Since when did Britney start calling herself Paulette?
- MattB123, on 10/23/2007, -0/+13 "He said 'I don't know where we are, and Mom's not acting normal,"' Walker said.
Now she may have been driving drunk, but we don't really know yet. Now you guys wouldn't go and jump to conclusions without having all the facts, would you? - Y0tsuya, on 10/23/2007, -1/+13She could have been texting.
- Shawn4168, on 10/23/2007, -4/+16One beer over is too much as well. The fact is, whether you're one beer over or 50% BAC, you're putting the lives of other people at risk for the sake of your own personal convenience. There need to be harsher penalties for ALL drunk drivers.
- Brianguy2000, on 10/23/2007, -6/+17It's one thing to be dumb and drive drunk but with your kids in the car?! She needs to get tased!
- inactive, on 10/23/2007, -0/+10Earn help? Isn't that contradictory to the concept of help?
I'd say the fact that she is driving around drunk with her children makes her an excellent candidate for help. - carleethian, on 10/24/2007, -0/+10way to be an even bigger dick than bonedead
- aguita, on 10/24/2007, -4/+13Yes, there is a Vancouver, Washington. It sits opposite of Portland, Oregon on the other side of the Columbia River. 2 seconds on google would have told you that. Idiot.
- czeman, on 10/23/2007, -2/+11Grounded for life? lol
- vornan19, on 10/23/2007, -2/+10Hells yeah, brotherman!
It sickens me to hear of a dui/dwi arrest by a repeat offender. It is obvious that repeat offenders don't learn easily. Or perhaps they think the laws don't apply to them. Either way I am in favour of license suspension/revokation, mandatory jail sentences, and classes that explicitly detail the cost of driving impaired.
Off topic:
Would the guy who whips past me in a hurry each morning only to have me pull up beside them at the light please slow the ***** down? Leave earlier for crying out loud. - unknamed, on 10/24/2007, -0/+7There really is a Vancouver, Washington. Right across the border from Portland, OR.
- Volatile, on 10/24/2007, -0/+7cdahlkvist, Buddhism doesn't have a god. It's not even technically a religion.
Anyway, props to the kid in the story. I wouldn't have been able to do the same. - pdxuser, on 10/23/2007, -0/+7I have trouble getting outraged over things that happen in a place called Minnehaha.
- rudy23, on 10/23/2007, -0/+7in that case only 8yr old mom would eb enough for the title.
- inactive, on 10/23/2007, -1/+7"*****" WTF?
- Euler2718, on 10/23/2007, -1/+7I'm pretty sure acarr was kidding, you two shouldn't take people so seriously.
- pintomp3, on 10/24/2007, -1/+7sad that his mom was driving them around drunk in the first place.
- frostw, on 10/23/2007, -0/+6A little harsh perhaps?
- drachemorder, on 10/23/2007, -0/+6Since the joke got so overused it isn't even remotely amusing any more?
- uberchaoslord, on 10/24/2007, -4/+10Yeah stupid americans making a vancouver that close to the real one in BC... :P
- rudy23, on 10/23/2007, -2/+8phew ... i read it as 8 year old mom . . .
- inactive, on 10/23/2007, -2/+7Damn little snitch. Just kidding, thank God the stupid bitch didn't kill a bunch of people. Thank God and the kid. That would take some pretty big balls at any age to have the guts to do the right thing and turn Mom in, but at 8, damn.....he just might just grow up to be a responsible adult, something the world needs bad.
- worldsbestgamer, on 10/23/2007, -2/+7Everyone gets so serious about drunk driving, until they have a few and have to get home.
- acorem, on 10/23/2007, -0/+5It's in Vancouver, WASHINGTON
- Opheicus, on 10/23/2007, -2/+7I see what you did there.
- inactive, on 10/23/2007, -2/+7People earn help from me when they are in need of help. I don't need eastern mysticism or some imaginary Gods to tell me who is or is not deserving of help.
And that is what frightens me about religion in general. If you need God to tell you the difference between right and wrong you have serious issues. - Ocelot13, on 10/22/2007, -1/+6http://www.the-planets.com/britney_spears/britney_ ...
- Shadowdev, on 10/24/2007, -2/+7I really need to start reading the Descriptions and not just the title. All I saw was "8yr old Mom was arrested for Drunk Driving" and while the story was still interesting I was sorely disappointed that my expectations weren't met.
- Shawn4168, on 10/23/2007, -0/+5I'm guessing the kids are getting taken away from this bitch into protective custody.
- MrSlumberjack, on 10/23/2007, -0/+5"A woman has been arrested for investigation of drunken driving"
Since when do people get arrested for investigating drunk drivers? What a ***** typo. Probably the ***** ever. - AmICoolNow, on 10/23/2007, -0/+5I think that's actually happened before.
- Shawn4168, on 10/23/2007, -1/+5So...that makes it acceptable? That's like saying that murder isn't a big deal because people commit murder all the time.
