- AThoughtOrTwo, on 01/22/2008, -34/+263HANDCUFFED and put in a cruiser for not pulling up?? Ridiculous! I'm surprised the big, fat idiot didn't throw her to the ground and stomp on her neck like I see on tv all the time! Hooligans with a badge.
- sjl127, on 01/22/2008, -11/+168What? Not tasered?
- Error601, on 01/22/2008, -21/+170Interesting how people just fabricate their own story rather than being able to extract the facts from the article. There was absolutely nothing about why she was ordered to move her car. Maybe she was backing traffic up onto the main road or something?
- inactive, on 01/22/2008, -13/+162What? Cops did not tase the 75 year old grandma? Buried as impossible!
- Jeffler, on 01/22/2008, -3/+139Don't tase me, sonny-boy!
- Ajajadude, on 01/22/2008, -19/+103This is Digg. It's cool to hate on the cops.
- moocow1452, on 01/22/2008, -6/+88Why do we never hear about good cops that give kids candy, and don't taser bros?
- petebert, on 01/22/2008, -2/+82wow, this article sure does have a lot of details! Maybe it was make your own article day at the local Jr. High.
- Theory1, on 01/22/2008, -22/+88Nothing worse than an unprofessional police officer. They undermine the average civilians faith in law enforcement and government in general. Not to mention stirring up the lefty no-brainers like dildooliely. I bet anything this unprofessional officer was waiting on his coffee and got upset at a 75 y.o. woman for doing what the proprietors instructed her to do. If anyone needs to be psycho analyzed it's him. At the very least I hope there was a severe butt chewing that went down back at the precinct for that SH*tbird officer. A good desk Sargent or squad Lt. would have seen to it personally. Most likely if enough of the local citizens have complained he'll be sent down to parking enforcement for the duration. He certainly could have handled this much better.
- inactive, on 01/22/2008, -3/+49""The fact that your name is dildoolielly, somewhat takes away any credibility that you might have""
Oh, sorry, next time I will wear my fancy garb. - mancat, on 01/22/2008, -7/+51Agreed. How do we know that the officer wasn't trying to respond to a call and was blocked in to the drive-through?
The end result of this incident is certainly shameful at first glance, but we haven't been given the facts. - lex0nyc, on 01/22/2008, -7/+50A lawful order on private property that contradicts the instructions of te property owner... yeah... what?
- pintomp3, on 01/22/2008, -2/+39just because it comes out of a cop's mouth doesn't make it a "lawful order"
- Devotia, on 01/22/2008, -2/+37I stopped taking you seriously at "Amerika."
- Entroper, on 01/22/2008, -11/+44In the video where they interviewed the woman, she said she refused to show her license and registration. She wasn't arrested for parking, she was arrested for being uncooperative -- but of course, that doesn't make a good headline.
Buried, inaccurate. - inactive, on 01/22/2008, -1/+33Um, no they don't, I was pulled over once while driving through a mall parking lot, while my liscense was suspended. The cop wanted to arrest me, but stated he wasn't legally allowed to because I was on private property. He then pulled across the street waiting for me to leave, so I called a friend out of the mall to drive me home. Another thing is its perfectly legal to go to an empty parking lot and teach your kids to drive, as long as you stay on private property. All, I'm saying is some laws do not apply on private property, ie traffic laws.
- obliviousfool, on 01/22/2008, -0/+29Psychadelic ...now there is a name that everyone can trust!
- minnymoo, on 01/22/2008, -4/+33couldn't find it under all his blubber...
- 68024, on 01/22/2008, -1/+24Clearwater, Fla.? Isn't that Scientology territory? She must've been in cahoots with Xenu to be treated like that...
(for the record, 'Xenu' = the Scientologists' 'devil') - insomniac8400, on 01/22/2008, -4/+26Real article with details: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22743780/
It appears the cop was a complete idiot and basically got his car stuck and decided to abused his badge rather than waiting. - moofer, on 01/22/2008, -4/+25Man... they shoulda tasered her ass - I mean seriously. Just look at her. Coffee-drinkin' fry-eatin' grandma. Those cops showed a lot of restraint. There should be medals issued to these guys. Sleep easy citizens... your drive-thrus are secure.
- thzae, on 01/22/2008, -4/+25This one really made me laugh. Well played.
- e36wheelman, on 01/22/2008, -4/+25I Can Incorrectly Uppercase My Letters, Also. You Sir, Are A Facist For Oppressing The Poor Lowercase Of This World.
Capitalize only for proper nouns, places, names, etc... Not every noun needs capitalized because an adjective is in front of it. - TheGuruStud, on 01/22/2008, -1/+20ROFL, we need that as a bury option!
- Hayaemsay, on 01/22/2008, -1/+20"but we haven't been given the facts"
As usual. - ohhoe, on 01/22/2008, -3/+22I'm lovin' it.
- notthemama, on 01/22/2008, -5/+23"average civilians faith in law enforcement"
What faith? I haven't had any faith in cops since one raped a friend of mine at age 12.
Chances are that the cop's superiors and the DA will try to cover this cop's ass and railroad the poor woman. Of course, I hope this woman sues the cop and the county for millions, even though the idiotic cop won't get more than a rap on his knuckles worst case.
BTW, this ***** isn't specific to cops either. Happens all the time in companies. It's just that cops should be held to a higher standard and not be able to abuse their power. - vankai, on 01/22/2008, -4/+22Living in the Tampa area, a local radio show host interviewed her this morning and got her side of the story. You can listen to it here:

Its crazy that this cop treated her this way. He definitely should be punished. - greaterweb, on 01/22/2008, -4/+20Looks like a trouble maker.
- chrisgnv, on 01/22/2008, -6/+22Even if the cop was technically right, he's still a douche bag. Not every single little ***** law needs to be followed to the T.
- inactive, on 01/22/2008, -0/+16Because the name "psychadelic" implies an authority figure?
Maxillion Buckfutter is stupid. For you to come up with something that ***** lame and STILL give other people ***** is ridiculous.
Get a life, loser. - baddog993, on 01/22/2008, -8/+22The majority are good cops its the bad ones that stand out. If all cops were evil it wouldnt be news.
- rnwen2750, on 01/22/2008, -1/+15Oh, the facts? They have a well-known liberal bias.
- timbo458, on 01/22/2008, -2/+16I didn't think McDonald's sold donuts!
- NebCanuck, on 01/22/2008, -1/+14You're right, Aja... clearly the cops were in the right. Which is why their superior made them apologize. Or did you not watch the video?
- BluAardvark, on 01/22/2008, -4/+17The cop didn't have the authority to demand the request.
- daviddiaz, on 01/22/2008, -1/+14I'm sure that there's something else he can't find under his blubber. Perhaps that's why he was so unhappy and decided to take it out on grandma. hahaha
- Double0Doug, on 01/22/2008, -3/+16No, this is all a bunch of internet tough-guy routine.
Reminds me of a joke my mom sent me the other day…
Two men were driving through West Virginia when they got pulled over by a State Trooper. The cop walked up and tapped on the window with his nightstick.
The driver rolled down the window and WHACK, the cop smacked him In the head with his nightstick.
'What the hell was that for?' the driver asked.
'You're in West Virginia , son,' the trooper answered. '! When we pull you over in West Virginia , you better have your license ready by the time we get to your car.'
'I'm sorry, officer,' the driver said, 'I'm not from around here.'
The trooper runs a check on the guy's license--he's clean and gives the guy his license back. The trooper then walks around to the passenger side and taps on the window. The passenger rolls down the window and 'WHACK', the trooper smacks him on the head with the nightstick.
'What'd you do that for?' the passenger demands.
'Just making your wish come true,' replied the trooper.
'Making WHAT wish come true?' the passenger asked.
'Because I know your type.' the trooper says, 'Two miles down the road you're gonna turn to your buddy and say, 'I wish that ***** would've tried that ***** with me.' - moofer, on 01/22/2008, -1/+14Power to the little letters, brother.
- Skod, on 01/22/2008, -2/+14Ok, first off, there's a damn video, watch it, there's a lot more information. There was a delay with her food and the employee asked her to pull forward and park (I've had this happen to me before). Basically, she parked in a "no parking" zone and the cop decided to hassle her. From her comments it's pretty easy to gather that he didn't tell her why she had to move and demanded to see her information, and honestly I don't see why she was in the wrong. First of all, arresting her for a parking violation is disgusting and ridiculous, but also the cop could have simply told her why she had to move her vehicle instead of being a prick about it. It's unfortunate that the article was so poorly written; these uninformed comments could have easily been avoided.
- Pake, on 01/22/2008, -1/+13It's only lawful depending on what the McDonald's employee said. The article lacks detail like you said, but all it needs is the employee's comment as to whether or not they told her to stay still or pull up.
- inactive, on 01/22/2008, -6/+18***** the police. They are just another gang like the Crips or the Bloods. The Donuts.
- AnalogAssassin, on 01/22/2008, -0/+12I agree. Her vehicle was parked on private property, not a public road.
- santaliqueur, on 01/22/2008, -12/+23Because this is Digg. Because some police are trigger happy and power hungry, all of them must be.
- Ozzsanity, on 01/22/2008, -2/+13Florida is such a joke.
- lex0nyc, on 01/22/2008, -0/+11Traffic laws do NOT apply on private property. What the hell are you, some kind of cop?
- sdellboy, on 01/22/2008, -1/+12Eating at McDonalds is criminal....
- bfaulk04, on 01/22/2008, -7/+17People over 60 need to re-take the drivers test to be able to keep their current license. This lady would probably lose hers.
Having said that, this cop was an ***** - nblsavage, on 01/22/2008, -2/+12Please, he wasn't worried about getting a call, he was impatient for his ***** burger,
