- qiaohua, on 05/27/2009, -0/+39Really, how am I supposed to get through 63 tips. How about 5 or 10.
- anexanhume, on 05/27/2009, -0/+28Pro-tip, if you're writing an article on how to stay focused, making it a 63 item list may not be the best idea.
- billricardi, on 05/27/2009, -1/+23The irony being, the author couldn't stay focused enough to narrow their scope down to less than 63 separate points. Not someone I would take advice from on focus.
- ruforealz, on 05/27/2009, -0/+1863 things to read instead of working
- pirategonzo, on 05/27/2009, -2/+19You know what I got from this article? Wait... I forgot what I was talking about.
- emt1451, on 05/27/2009, -0/+13Adderall.
- Hellahulla, on 05/27/2009, -0/+13If you can get through all 63 then you don't need any help staying focussed.
- DanteDefiance, on 05/27/2009, -0/+10Is it ironic that I couldn't stay focused through this list? I saw a squirrel and was lost in thought for 30 minutes.
- diggan8, on 05/27/2009, -0/+9Great article. I really liked the one about
- missinglink, on 05/27/2009, -0/+8#64 - never read a list that's longer than 5 items.
- jbird32275, on 05/27/2009, -0/+5I made it to 12. This is a horrible read.
- djteiwaz, on 05/27/2009, -0/+4I find it ironic that I am reading this article while not focusing on work I should be doing. And none of the 63 tips work.
- vikblazin, on 05/27/2009, -0/+4you can cross off about 63 things on that list just with adderall. =)
- iceregulus, on 05/27/2009, -0/+3At least it's all on one page.
- 1ofMany, on 05/27/2009, -0/+3Ditto on the length-- brevity should be #1 on the list.
So am I gonna be the first person to ask what the deal is with that crappy floating post-it note/ad. That didn't help me keep my focus either. - inactive, on 05/27/2009, -1/+4The floating crap at the right was REALLY annoying.
- PsychoDeli, on 05/27/2009, -1/+4Yea, so here I am, an un-focussed fool and you want me to get through 63 tips...tips...here's a tip...I'm not that focussed...wait...what?
- sirbeta, on 05/27/2009, -0/+3After trying 5 times to access the site and being rejected, I lost my focus and closed the browser.
- feelmypimphand, on 05/27/2009, -0/+3I couldn't stay focused long enough to get past #12
- 0tis, on 05/27/2009, -0/+2Several of these are different versions of the same idea... some good tips though. Shame there were 63 OF THE DAMN THINGS.
- junkfoodjoe, on 05/27/2009, -0/+2Exactly, this article is not designed for the people who need to read it. Simple and quick are the elements we need here people, simple and quick...
- damnshoes, on 05/27/2009, -0/+2oh noes, the site is down. now I cant stay focused at work! :(
- Rhoadsy, on 05/27/2009, -1/+3Stop hitting F5 on digg.com?
- lacreme, on 05/27/2009, -0/+2Looks like their server couldn't.
- MxM111, on 05/27/2009, -0/+2Good to know
- burningrobot, on 05/27/2009, -0/+2Actually when I'm high I tend to focus very intensely.
Just on the wrong thing. - Feraldr00d, on 05/27/2009, -0/+2I read this article instead of doing my project.
- danthepiercer, on 05/27/2009, -0/+2just stop, please.
- immatellyouwhat, on 05/27/2009, -0/+2Hey I stay very focused when I do my...Oh look a chicken!
- immatellyouwhat, on 05/27/2009, -0/+2If you've stopped once, you pretty much don't have to do 2 through 63.
- sgreimer, on 05/27/2009, -0/+1I'll get back to work right after I read this...
- lnxfi, on 05/27/2009, -0/+1Wait, what?
- hawkeyeracer, on 05/27/2009, -0/+1I'd like to meet the person who could actually focus enough to read that entire list...
- adrosenb, on 05/27/2009, -0/+1How can I focus when I am on Digg?
- Snoogs, on 05/27/2009, -0/+1That's a part of the distraction... they're trying to convince you that you are more distracted than you really are.
- inactive, on 05/27/2009, -0/+1Your post is like ferralet chewing gum. Very irony.
- lacreme, on 05/27/2009, -0/+1Funny...I have this window open and read it every five minutes or so so I can see how to stay focused.
- esaks, on 05/27/2009, -0/+1Mike is a great guy, glad to see him on digg
- jcsoc, on 05/27/2009, -1/+2my thoughts exactly
- thegman3, on 05/27/2009, -0/+1I actually do number 23 to do list before bed. I find it helps a lot I have my list of stuff already planned out ahead of time and I'm able to get through it much faster. Every time I knock something off the list I'm one step closer to my goal for the day.
- renanrrinaldi, on 05/27/2009, -0/+1So no profit?
- Zilk, on 05/27/2009, -0/+1And I'm using this article to stray from the work I should be focused on.
- garrettg84, on 05/28/2009, -0/+1exactly
- artfiend77, on 05/27/2009, -0/+1#19. "-I feel the leather seats of my Lexus hug my body as I fly around dangerously sharp bends."
I mean, really? - inactive, on 05/27/2009, -0/+0Sorry, but this article is just weak.
The only good advice is the one about meditation, because that's really all you need to help focus... none of this other stuff.
The other things are just "re-distracting" your mind back to the task at hand, which isn't true focus. If you can just meditate 10 minutes a day every day, you will see an exponental jump in your ability to focus.
The mind is a very malleable, the key is molding it yourself rather than letting the world do it for you. -
