- inactive, on 10/22/2007, -2/+62you could probably just build a fort in the tree for less wtf
- compgeek, on 10/15/2007, -1/+41looks retarded and 50G's wow someone would have to be literally retarded to shell out that kinda cash for a tent
- Winded, on 10/15/2007, -2/+38Looks like the tree sprouted some balls.
- Gabberwok, on 10/15/2007, -3/+37I don't think it's camping if you need a car to carry your tent...
- inactive, on 10/15/2007, -0/+31Yes, because spiders and snakes are soo pathetically unable to climb up a tree.
- freezerburn666, on 10/15/2007, -2/+27how do u get out to take a piss at 3am
- ciano, on 10/15/2007, -0/+22That does not look comfortable or appealing at all.
- shm0edawg, on 10/15/2007, -0/+21Pic of the inside...
http://i22.tinypic.com/aax0er.jpg - XxIronhidexX, on 10/15/2007, -0/+17No pics of the inside?
- D3koy, on 10/14/2007, -1/+18Two questions...
with a hardwood floor how do you pack this up?
Does this hurt the tree? It seems like it would - wesheets, on 10/15/2007, -6/+22don't know if it's worth that much but it looks pretty awesome
- mutatron, on 10/15/2007, -0/+16Seriously? A two person tent only weighs 6 or 7 pounds, a four person tent weighs 8 to 9 pounds. They fold up into a tight little package that is easily strapped onto a frame backpack.
- staffrocket, on 10/15/2007, -3/+18Can't wait for the next rapper to have this as one of his "cribs".
- Lane, on 10/15/2007, -3/+16I bet that's heavy...
- timdorr, on 10/15/2007, -1/+14But it's got hard wood floors! :O
- TopherT, on 10/15/2007, -0/+11lol, thats not a hardwood floor, thats a plywood floor!
- RightBleeding, on 10/15/2007, -0/+11If you have $50,000 you can buy a really nice RV (which may not actually be camping).
- edenseager, on 10/14/2007, -0/+10If I ever got $50k to spend freely the last thing I would think of buying is this...
- karenflower, on 10/15/2007, -1/+10I've travelled carrying my tent on my back. . albeit on buses as well as walking ^.^
- emjaymj, on 10/15/2007, -0/+8Unless you're "camping" at the side of the road, you're going to have to haul that tent some distance, and hardwood flooring isn't really that light...
- Mizzy, on 10/14/2007, -0/+8Looks more like a weather balloon. I'd give it a try but I definitely wouldn't pay 50,000 for a tent.
- stackered, on 10/14/2007, -0/+8just buy a trailer retards
- inactive, on 10/14/2007, -0/+7well, at least in north america we don't have many tree-climbing snakes.
the spiders though... - Dylan47, on 10/15/2007, -0/+7you could probably bulldoze the tree and build a house..
- McTendo, on 10/18/2007, -2/+9Yes, yes you are.
Buried, blocked and forgotten. I beat cancer! - inactive, on 10/15/2007, -2/+8im a fairly experienced hiker and ive got to say i know i couldnt survive in the wilderness without my tent furnished with hardwood floors
- inactive, on 10/14/2007, -0/+6Interesting idea; but not for 50k, or with a hardwood floor (seriously, a hardwood floor? in a tent?). I've actually seen a sort of "hammock tent" before that was designed for camping in the woods, although it needed 2 trees and was a single-person. This reminds me of a port-a-ledge for big-wall climbing, I wonder if you could just use one of those on a tree?
- centran, on 10/15/2007, -0/+6considering it boasts hardwood floors.... yeah.
- inactive, on 10/14/2007, -0/+6I don't think it's really for backpacking, so it probably doesn't "pack up" very well. I get the feeling that the Neimann-Marcus pay-50k-for-a-tent crowd probably considers setting up a tent in the woods of their 30 acre estate "camping".
- Davekcon, on 10/15/2007, -0/+5"a nine-foot-diameter hardwood floor" [read: plywood floor]
- OropheR, on 10/14/2007, -0/+2That thing wont save you from bears...
- OniDracula, on 10/14/2007, -0/+2You know what would be nice is if someone would link directly to the product. I love clicking three links to get to the actual product.
- Jist, on 10/15/2007, -0/+1Yeah I saw this in my Neiman Marcus catalog.... no joke. They were selling all types of crazy things from there.... Including a submarine, a Neiman Marcus Lexus, a $77,000 cell phone. Pretty ridiculous.
- bobnease, on 10/15/2007, -0/+1Hahahaha!!! That's hilarious! Is that for real?
- cjrando, on 10/14/2007, -2/+3At 50K each they must have a nice military contract.
- gullibunni, on 10/15/2007, -0/+1Seriously, stop with the tree submissions...
- rupertmorris, on 10/14/2007, -0/+1You could pay someone to have several custom made, for substantially less than the asking price of $50K. The materials are less than $100. Sewing isn't that hard.
Interesting idea though. - MacSuxWindozSux, on 10/15/2007, -0/+1Just think if a bear is shaking the tree you can pee all over him.
- cuoops, on 10/15/2007, -0/+1http://www.ardoer.com/en/camping/hertshoorn_campin ...
I don't think it's 50K. - JEWestbrookJR, on 10/14/2007, -0/+1Looks pretty neat, but 50 grand? Come on... I would pay maybe $300. A treehouse is much cooler and maybe a $1000 project for a really good one.
- rumor, on 10/14/2007, -0/+1yes, but yours doesn't have a hardwood floor and a matress.
- inactive, on 10/15/2007, -0/+1Crazy! Dugg
- bakefy, on 10/14/2007, -1/+2The only way that would be worth it is if it also printed money. 50K for a massive nylon nutsac doesn't seem right.
- MacSuxWindozSux, on 10/15/2007, -0/+1Uh... people do put tents on their backs.
- selrahc, on 10/14/2007, -0/+1If you want hardwood floors just pitch your tent in an area with a lot of fallen branches.
- brusty, on 10/14/2007, -0/+1rick diculous
- inactive, on 10/14/2007, -0/+1thats right, there are no retarded people with lots of money. most of them just give it to benny hin
- rumor, on 10/14/2007, -0/+1no, there are lots of campgrounds which only require you to go a few feet off a path (usually a car path).
- silverfoxx08, on 10/15/2007, -0/+0nice reference to Independence Day ..
- flangle, on 10/15/2007, -0/+0How does one even enter this tent, BYOL?
