- InfamousAtheist, on 10/10/2007, -2/+71When you have to say "not to be anal," you're being anal.
- FiP0, on 10/10/2007, -0/+25Me too, i'm going to ask it to move in with me.
- Oakes, on 10/10/2007, -10/+34Not to be anal, but this belongs in the Technology section...
- bungoman, on 10/10/2007, -2/+26Don't you mean *****?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+22Very good submit, well done this is what Digg should be.
- OxygenJunkie88, on 10/21/2007, -1/+21Not to be a murderer, but I stabbed this guy to death last night.
- furashi, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20I don't think he's trying to be anal, he just loves to say it in public forums.
- jerryparid, on 10/10/2007, -3/+21Wow; thanks for the SSH tip.
- Eric4, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15Hmm, that's still not as bad as "No offense, but ***** you."
- lcstein, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16No but I can subscribe you to some nice beastie pr0n :)
- Xanium4332, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15Ha, you obviously haven't been 'enlightened' yet...
- BigManOnCampus, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Talk about completely defeating your own purpose...
"Relakks provides services to help individuals to assure the security and integrity of their information. Relakks' responsibility stems from the strong Swedish tradition of protecting the integrity of private life and all forms of communication between individuals."
"Now, give us your credit-card number so we can charge you $5.00 a month"
That's all well and good, I expect such a service would cost money... but if you're going to deliberately create a paper trail that can be subpoenaed, then what the hell is the point? - aDJsavedmylife, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9I remember when I was 9...Some older boy who was 10 said to me:
"No offence but you're a *****"
An undying memory. - meshman, on 11/04/2007, -0/+81 - Usenet. End of list
Disagree if you like but I get 9mb/s non stop for as long as I need for $15US. I get an entire DVD5 in just over an hour. MP3's come in faster than the OS can update its window. I use bit torrent for odd things but nothing beats a solid 9mb/s. - kingkilr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Drop comcast?
/me is a comcast user
/me is looking for weaponry to blow up comcast - Koldkompress, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Not to be a Judge, but I'm sentencing you to 25 years in Prison
- rudy23, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7in the BT's case i can assure 95% are thieves.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9Using BT is not illegal. Don't fall for that. Just because some people use cars as getaway vehicles for bank heists... does not mean all car drivers are thieves.
- Meep3D, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7I remember the days of usenet - and it was like pulling fking teeth. I'm so glad things have moved on.
- mrshll, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8then don't read it. let those who don't know, learn.
- Kypt, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7From Relakks FAQ:
"RELAKKS Safe Surf enjoys the strongest legal protection possible under Swedish Law because of the service type (pre-paid flat-rate service). This means that RELAKKS do not have to keep an ordinary customer database (to be able handle transactions etc.). This is of importance if forced to hand over information.
If Swedish authorities can prove beyond reasonable doubt that they have a case for demanding subscription information from RELAKKS (they have to be of the opinion that if convicted the user will be imprisoned – fined not enough). .
RELAKKS then have to hand over the subscription information entered by you (but that’s all). RELAKKS do not store any subscribtion information about you except what you entered yourself when signing up for the RELAKKS Safe Surf service." - sabach, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I used to say SHHHH about usenet too, but it inevitable that the Eye of Sauron falls on it as well. Maybe if we get a bunch clueless n00bs posting through their ISP accounts the pain will befall them instead of us old-timers.
- frositay, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Still using Kazaa then?
- gentlax13, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4The point is that it can't be subpoenaed. Welcome to Sweden.
- NiX0n, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5I swear, if someone posts another comment like this w/o posting a link, I am going to beat them with their own shoe.
Just for that, I'm digging this story in spite! - stelriah, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Forward to: NBC
- DocHoliday22, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Bookmarked for future reference.
- staticpage, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3for # 5 on azureuswiki Adelphia in still on the list, time warner killed off Adelphia last year and when I had Adelphia it was fine with BT
- Ninjab3ar, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5I would if Comcast didn't cut me off after my downloads finish. I disconnect from all peers and upload 0 kb/s.
Any tips to circumvent that? - marco114, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2is there cache anywhere of these tips? I think digg killed it.
- hellotyler, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Does anyone know of a good shell service? Not free.
- cruzlee, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I used to love uTorrent
- CthulhuDawn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Setup your own server offsite.
- cruzlee, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Not to be gay, but i LOVE anal.
- MavRevMatt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I was expecting a Mashable posting...
- Crazysah, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Din't know half of them. Thanks.
- Renniks, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I have TW in rochester NY, and they throttle BT traffic. I got Utorrent and began encrypting my packets, and now my speed went up by 40x!
- aDJsavedmylife, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Thanks for the info..I WILL DL AND HAVE A LOOK LOLZ
- h4mx0r, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Same here. Didn't notice any difference with Adelphia, now using TW.
- seiryu76, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3I'm going to try Tip 8, it's free for 5 days, and I'm in Singapore and in the middle of this whole ODEX debacle
Thx though - MajorD, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Within the article, it explains how to circumvent Comcast using SSH...

Something to try? - Aciid, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1And we freaked it to death..
- Darkwave, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Two words: Leave Tiscali
- qwertylicious, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Heh, anal.
- sadlyimnorobot, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2who here doesn't like to say anal in public forums?
- exosome, on 03/20/2009, -0/+0I have TimeWarner cable in Austin, and I think they must be doing something. Usually I can torrent for about fifteen to thirty minutes and then it slows to about 0.5k/sec. The only way I can get it back up to normal (several hundred k/sec) is to reboot the modem/router.
- MrBigWords, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1I am moving down to Texas and I was thinking about using the Time Warner Road Runner service. I checked the Azureus Wiki for 'Bad ISPs' from the article, and it didn't list Time Warner, but a quick Google search told me that they were introducing new 'Packet Shaping Technology'. Does anyone have any service experience with Time Warner (in Austin)?
