- chairmanmoe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Happy Birthday, Judge D. How do you he'd celebrate, by bustin' a cap in some fools?
- masonreloaded, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6"Paris Hilton, 3 days in jail... TAKE HER AWAY!"
No, please... take her away - AeroMama, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7I know it wasn't really the same as the comic book, but I thought the movie was good.
- JudgeDredd, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7Hunting down Sylvester Stallone.
- fkr3, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Congratulations @ 2000AD and Judge Dredd.
But The Phantom wins, sorry. It dates back nearly 60 years as a comic book, and an extra dozen years before that as a newspaper comic strip.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Phantom - kiwiboyus, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4I liked Judge Dredd but Rogue Trooper was my favorite to read as a kid.
- M0b1u5, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I collected from Prog 1. But I thought that was in 1976, not 1977? I stopped collecting in about 2004, because it got pretty weak. Judge Dredd was always strong though, but he can't carry a whole comic.
I still have every single one of those comics too. No "space spinner" on my copy of Prog 1 though, sadly! - alstewart73, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Go JD!
Agree on the Rogue Trooper front. Isn't that going to be made into a film?
Slaine also rocked!!!

Apart from 2000AD my fave at the time was Thrud the Barbarian. http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/comics/independents/thrud1.shtml < click next

- wyrdness, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1How can you have an article on 30 years of 2000AD and Judge Dredd without mentioning Pat Mills?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Mills
I used to know Pat. We'd drink in the same pub in London and were friendly. He's a really great guy. One year, I decided to spend Christmas in a remote part of Wales. When we arrived at the hotel I saw a familiar figure at the bar. It was Pat, who'd chosen the same tiny, isolated hotel for his Christmas holiday. What an odd coincidence. I haven't seen him for a long time now though.
I've still never read a 2000AD as I'm not really into comics. I've heard that Slaine (another of Pats creations) is pretty good though. - ManicRage, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Please explain what this: "Cas has snotriom dog gaym plees. O-O" means. Makes no sense.
- ManicRage, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Pat Mills was regrettable ommitted from my artice because it was intentionally about the Origins storyarc that appeared between issue 1500 and 1535.
With this in mind, the article was about my opinion/review of the storyarc and the reasons why it could have been better,. - Webbster, on 10/11/2007, -0/+030 years...? *****. Now I feel old.
- spawnfree, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0Cas has snotriom dog gaym plees. O-O
