- thedsack, on 10/13/2008, -2/+12When asked, what will you do next?
The boy said: I would go to Disney world, but my parents just took me last month. - Darkaged, on 10/13/2008, -1/+8I truly don't understand how you are being dugg up.
- dha07030, on 10/13/2008, -0/+4I like the part where BoonTobias makes that comment on every article.
- ATLien74, on 10/13/2008, -0/+4Well I have two Old School Kawasaki Jet Ski's...and to me, anything else is NOT a Jet Ski. Personal Watercraft maybe, but a Jet Ski is a stand up model by Kawasaki....they own the name, and that is that. People can call things what they want, but they sound stupid, and don't know what they are talking about.
Real enthusiasts call them what they are... PWC's, Super Jets, Wet Bikes, Jet Skis, Wave Runners, Wave Blasters, etc. - inigomntoya, on 10/13/2008, -0/+4Thanks Tony Tiger!
- Brabus, on 10/13/2008, -0/+3I cant believe he does not wear a helmet
- shimmi147, on 10/13/2008, -0/+3Not him, but wow:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OlIS1dbIno&feature ... - actionscripted, on 10/13/2008, -0/+2Buried as lame.
- clinko, on 10/13/2008, -0/+2Glad someone else knows. But, just to tweak what you mean, the SX/XI was a runabout jet-ski made by Kawasaki.
- clinko, on 10/13/2008, -0/+2650sx was a PIG. Fun to ride, but relatively rare.
Back in the day I had a 440, 550, and a superjet.
Superjets were a blast to cruise on. Easy ride. - poordavey, on 10/13/2008, -0/+2"A genericized trademark (also known as a generic trademark or proprietary eponym) is a trademark or brand name that has become the colloquial or generic description for (or synonymous with) a particular class of product or service." - Wikipedia
You won't meet many people who call any "personal watercraft" anything but a Jet Ski....like a Kleenex. - minitrucker007, on 10/13/2008, -0/+2Apparently you didn’t read the article.
- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -0/+2lol someone has sand in their vagina... yeah im looking at you GordonFree.
- baramunchies, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1pictures of that moves are boring, where is the video?
- Meresin, on 10/14/2008, -0/+1Let me know if he ever becomes the champion of anything useful or interesting. :P
- CharlesSaint, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1DO A BARREL ROLL!
Edit: SeraphXI beat me to it. Damn! http://digg.com/odd_stuff/14_year_old_becomes_youn ... - ATLien74, on 10/13/2008, -2/+3Actually, that's a Super Jet (Yamaha).... not a Jet Ski (Kawasaki).
- pathouston22, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1I've been on a stand-up machine before. They are ok, but I wouldn't want to own one. Sometimes you just want to go out and cruise...with those you can't relax.
I did buy 2 older mid-90s regular jet skis this summer. They are great. Much smaller machines that allow for more control and fun. I'd recommend an older jet ski over todays modern huge monsters that are ridiculous in size, weight, and price. - kammy4u, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1I'm missing your point. I grew up doing all of that stuff.
- diggit83, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1Ya the 90s saki's were in the high 200lbs range and were awesome for big air wave jumping.
- ATLien74, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1@Spire3660: I'm fine with being the prick about it, and I guess you're fine with being the dumbass about it.
- Spire3660, on 10/13/2008, -1/+2Well, i guess you could be the pedantic prick about it, no one else cares. Jet propelled personal watercraft are considered a jet ski in the popular lexicon.
- clinko, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1In races you have to, for press photos you don't.
Actually, in Freestyle under old IJSBA rules you didn't have to wear a helmet. - daeus, on 10/13/2008, -2/+2Jealous?
- imbatman05, on 10/13/2008, -2/+2Would people please stop digging the Daily Mail or at least put a disclaimer in their posts so we don't have to see this tory ***** rag?
- WyldeJ, on 10/13/2008, -10/+10I hate to be a dick, but who cares?
- craighamnett, on 10/13/2008, -1/+1Anyone else read this as Jet Pack??? No... just me then.
- LIEL17, on 10/13/2008, -3/+3"Jack, from Markyate, Hertfordshire, has only been freestyling for 18-months since he was deemed old enough to ride his own jet-ski."
Mhmmmm... The same way I was able to pop a wheelie the "first time" i got my Motorcycle license...
Good going kid, keep it up! - busybenj, on 10/13/2008, -4/+4There's a national jet-ski champ?
- GordonFree, on 10/13/2008, -1/+1Hey baby, wanna have some fun?
- TsuruchiBrian, on 10/13/2008, -2/+1If Jet Skiiing is anything like female gymnastics, this kid has an unfair advantage by being young, and should be disqualified.
- MrChunks, on 10/13/2008, -2/+1Why did you have to write like that? By "that", I mean badly.
- Wuss, on 10/13/2008, -2/+1I'm currently the national champion of sitting at my desk writing this comment about this digg article. Go me. *sarcasm*
- MrChunks, on 10/13/2008, -2/+1Did you honestly need to ask that question? You obviously don't care but what makes you think that absolutely no one else would care? Fancy telling us what went through your mind when you posted your comment?
- GordonFree, on 10/13/2008, -3/+1Yeah he's been doing it for ONLY 18 months boo hoo ***** amazing, I'm so totally impressed. With 16 hours a day of that ***** I'd be better than him. Just because a ***** richie boy gets a jet ski as an extra to his sports car for christmas, we all have to stand in awe...
- Meocross, on 10/13/2008, -4/+2Now that is what i call a badass teenager
- diggit83, on 10/13/2008, -3/+1I had a 91 Kawasaki 650sx when I was 15, Never did anything near that bad ass but I loved every second of it. So many people nowa days buy the boring sit down machines that offer little feedback and control compared to a stand up. If you have never ridden one of these, and are in the market for a PWC, try one before you make your decision.
- GordonFree, on 10/13/2008, -6/+3Oh great.... an amazing prodigy child... at jet skiing. Give me a ***** break. If my parents had forced me to jet ski at 8 I'd probably be better than him, so what? Are we supposed to cheer the fact that his parents are ***** obsessed?
The only reason why we see Hollywood actors under 25 is because their parents got them in commercials and Disney club castings at age 4. So because our parents weren't obsessed about raising a star, that means we're not "child prodigies" like them? Don't get me started
Intelligent, full grown, experienced adults wait their whole lives to get recognition doing what they love, and you're telling me a 14 year old can get to the top faster... because he's SUPER-amazing? ***** - pogoyoyo, on 10/13/2008, -4/+1Jetskiing is really, a brilliant sport.
- leerayIG88, on 10/13/2008, -5/+1Chinese kid?
- Moogle, on 10/13/2008, -7/+2Look at the pictures whilst ignoring the context... How lame does it look? He's some kid, who is very wet, holding onto this giant metal boatshaped object and is seemingly falling through the air in really lame positions.
- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -11/+3i like the part where he jet skis
- kevinlouis, on 10/13/2008, -20/+10Just in the age of 14 .This boy is S I M P L Y GR888.
Well done . - solarweasel, on 10/13/2008, -15/+3very nice. set a precedent that all parents should let their 14 yr olds ride around on jet-skis. hell why not give them the keys to the snowmobile, atv, and family car while you're at it.
