instead you should read these "couple hundred articles that will change your life": http://maddox.xmission.com/ - OpenFuture, on 10/11/2007, -5/+22Here is the video of Steve Jobs commencement speech. It's much better than just reading the transcript. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-204609026222503944&q=steve+jobs+commencement+speech&total=34&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=2

- smurf22, on 10/11/2007, -17/+21If a article changes your life, you got some low standards.
- kindrobot, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Why the future doesn't need us - Bill Joy , 2000.
http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/8.04/joy.html
Frightening but still optimistic neo-luddism (if there can be such a thing) from an incredible writer.
More on Joy, if you're not familiar...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Joy - DarkDakota, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3If snide remarks out of jealousy on a news aggregation website is all the recourse you have, Then I believe it is you who has "low standards"
- bdbr, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2The fallacy behind all these "do what you love" articles is that they assume that if you love it, you'll be good at it. If you love music, you'll have the chops to be good musician. If you love writing, you'll have the creativity to be a good novelist. A history of millions of no-talents shows that this is clearly not true. Maybe, just maybe, living your life as an untalented wannabe isn't so fulfilling either?
It IS important to understand what you're good at. If you decide to do something else for a living, you'll likely be swimming upstream your whole life. If that's not what you happen to love, get a hobby. If you happen to love what you're good at, thank your lucky stars - and stop ***** telling everyone else that they can be like you if they just want it enough! - FulcrumVitesse, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5I've read some of those articles myself, and there's a lot of good advice in them. Steve Pavlina is especially recommended.
- myFriendDerrik, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Here's one that hit me pretty hard by Douglas Adams:
http://www.biota.org/people/douglasadams/ - resplence, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4To be fair, that speech by Steve Jobs is the only real valuable advice on that page.
- cfuse, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3I wish I did, those bastards are going to get a free iPhone!
- tkotam, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I am not sure if I can reboot my life if I read the articles but Digg sure did reboot their servers!! (It's down now, digg effect). :-)
- iamabe, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1half of these are about becoming a writer or a computer technician. kind of.. not useful at all.
