    But seriously, that's great. My grandmother's in her 70's and she's still very active. I also have a friend who's a little over 70 and he's extremely active. I'd hate to be one of those people who "grow old" in the traditional way.

The wisdom people of this age can impart on you is huge, but at the same time they often seem somewhat delusional when they talk about black birds that come out of the ground and are attacked by the white birds of the sky to keep them at bay....
    either way a blog by someone 100 years > old seems cool.

She was in her late 80's, but was sharp as a tack (used to work for the CIA, even). Let me just say that (though it's not the most common thing), there are some elderly people out there who have the same mind they did when they were 20. They're remarkable people, and have a *****-ton of stories to tell. If you ever get the chance to chat with a person like that, take it!

  • Evolve, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I don't know about other people but, for some reason i am drawn to listen to stories our grandparents tell. Even what would seam as a boring story to us, if told by someone more of our own age (be it teens, 20 somethings, or older) seam to take on a much more interesting perspective when recalled by someone who has (no offence) 'stood the test of time'.

    Hopefully we can immortalize the stories and experiences on the internet for future generations.

    There is an old woman by the name of Grace. She is close to 105, and nobody that I work with (all teenagers) believes it!
    However, I should know, I was at her 102 birthday !
    She wears a brown wig, which is somewhat-cheesy, but I don't care, becasue she Is soo extremely youthful. I have known 70 year olds that look older than her. She walks aronud with a medium Julia Child hump on her back, buck walks like a champ! I'm so proud to know her, and to work at a place with such ancient people. Full respect needs to be given to these people, so stop making *****, disrespectful remarks regarding these wonderful people. My 2 cents
