- doshindude, on 03/29/2008, -1/+6Why are people just discovering this game now? It's been out since like, 2004...It's an amazing game that was very underrated and overlooked by other releases...
- ericeman, on 03/29/2008, -0/+51. Pick up friend's Zelda character
2. Drop them down a deep dark bottomless pit
3. Wait to be brutally hurt by your friend - Ytse, on 03/29/2008, -0/+4Very cool. Having four individual TVs will spread the players out a little bit more. And if you've ever played Four Swords with your friends, you'll know why this is a good thing. ;-)
(Easier to avoid punches...) - joehobbes, on 03/28/2008, -0/+4That's a pretty creative use of hardware. Those GBA link games always looked interesting, but I never wanted to play them on a GBA. This looks quite exciting, on the other hand!
I'm not even a huge Zelda fan since I'm not good at all the puzzle-solving and I get lost easily, but having three other players helping you out, would take care of all that plus add some additional fun :) - racketboy, on 03/29/2008, -0/+3You forgot PROFIT!
You can collect all their jewels. - pistonhonda, on 03/29/2008, -0/+3Very engenious.
- racketboy, on 03/29/2008, -0/+3Whatever dude. Besides, I wouldn't have just a Zelda party by itself. We played this in our Retro Gaming room in Momocon.
It was just a subset of the games that we had available, but it was popular nonetheless. - cerealjynx, on 03/29/2008, -0/+2Well four more TVs and 3 more gamecubes would also set me back a bit.
Not to mention the GBAPlayers and connection cables. - racketboy, on 03/29/2008, -0/+2That too.
- theaceoffire, on 03/29/2008, -0/+2Originally it was very costly to set up.
- racketboy, on 03/29/2008, -0/+2It's not the game that we're making a deal about -- it's the setup or HOW you play the game.
- racketboy, on 03/29/2008, -0/+2But not as much as it used to.
Used TVs and Gamecubes are dirt cheap.
But no, this isn't for just anyone....
Good for conventions or big meetings. - ritzcracker, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2That's ***** bad ass. I gota buy Four Swords pronto!
- racketboy, on 03/28/2008, -0/+1It was truly a pleasure to play on this setup at Momocon. The co-op involved was cool and it was fun goofing around as well.
- TheDarkTipper, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1Hey brainboy77, I saw you at the Viva Pinata party. It was *****!
- racketboy, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1hehe good point -- but tryst me, the punching still happens.
You don't want to be so far away that you can't see the main screen, however. - theaceoffire, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1I know, the original method seemed very expensive, but now that the gamecube sells for so little it might actually be worth it.
Anyone know of more games this setup would work well with? - racketboy, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1I mentioned a couple others in the bottom of the piece, but I can understand skimming over it.
Pac-Man VS and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles can take advantage of it.
Pac-Man is much more practical as it only takes two instead of five TVs/GCs. - mrloco, on 03/29/2008, -1/+1j00wels
- inactive, on 03/29/2008, -4/+1A Zelda party? and you guys actually think this is cool. a viva pinata party would be more fun than this. It's Zelda. Zelda, for christ's sakes. mario would be better. a halo 3 or COD4 party would be pretty kickass. but a Zelda party? ZELDA? get a ***** life.
