- Raelmiu, on 07/16/2008, -1/+5The problem, nerdherder, is that everyone will need to upgrade all their Wiimotes. So if you have 4 wiimotes thats 80 dollars you need to plunk out just to play. And seriously, what games wont want to use wii motion plus?
This is basically the Wii2.0 you're looking at. And I'm sure its great, but it should be cheap as hell and packed in with every game and already part of all new wiimote sales. - estvir, on 07/17/2008, -0/+3People are still expecting 'hardcore' games from Nintendo? Even after this E3? How cute, I imagine you still think Santa is real.
- estvir, on 07/17/2008, -0/+3We're talking about consoles, not PCs.
- erichw1504, on 07/31/2008, -0/+2According to this article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_Sports_Resort
it will be bundled with Resort and an extended wiimote jacket in Spring of 2009 - inactive, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2Since Nintendo basically fooled everyone into thinking it was 1:1 from the getgo, shouldn't they be selling it at cost?
- seanthebond, on 07/16/2008, -1/+1Now lets hope Nintendo puts this thing to use in proper, hardcore games, not some game I'm going to play for a few minutes with the family.
- KingGoonie, on 07/17/2008, -3/+2You mean after an E3 when Miyamato did say Pikmin 3 and a new Zelda were being developed? As well as a new new super mario bros? That has the conduit and mad world playable(at least to some people)?
Its so funny because every year the press states how E3 is becoming more and more obsolete, some saying there probably won't even be one next year because its lost its point... yet if EVERY SINGLE ANNOUNCEMENT isn't made at E3 you think its all over. We got TGS coming, Lipzig (yes I know I spelled that wrong) which are now more important then E3... and Nintendo didn't really have a great show last year, but they had a great year games wise...
Fool. - TheUngod, on 07/16/2008, -3/+2An enhancement like this should always be welcomed, not ridiculed because you have to pay for it. Since when has hardware been free? When my graphics card is outdated and no longer plays new games well, NVidia doesn't send me a new card do they? If you don't want to buy the controller, don't. Enjoy the games you have now and the games that support the old controller, but don't whine and cry because you're a cheap *****.
- nerdherder, on 07/16/2008, -5/+3Obsolete? Then spend the 20 dollars on the damn add-on and it won't be obsolete anymore. Hopefully Nintendo will bundle this with something (possibly Wii Sports Resort) at a reasonable price, or does something like they did with the remote jacket for people who already own 4 Wii remotes though.
