- blackjack06, on 06/01/2009, -2/+42Depends what kind of Mario game...
- billjimbob, on 06/01/2009, -4/+37Wii Fit is lame. A "new Mario game" could be anything... there are a million games that use the Mario IP.
How about Zelda? - theshizzler, on 06/01/2009, -1/+29This'd better not be Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics. :(
- sdphost, on 06/01/2009, -0/+18Hardly a confirmation, its a rumor until announced or with leaked evidence. No matter how reliable the source is.
- inactive, on 06/01/2009, -0/+15Nintendo is releasing a Peripheral for that.
- 0tis, on 06/01/2009, -2/+13Super Paper Zelda.
- xxLedheadxx, on 06/01/2009, -1/+12Come on Nintendo, give me a Zelda game that's made for Wii.....not some Gamecube port with Wii controls slapped on it. WE WANT ZELDA!
- willster580, on 06/01/2009, -1/+10It will have a hard time beating Muscle March: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7alrycItYV8
- RomeyRome, on 06/01/2009, -0/+9I read fisting.
- LostOverThere, on 06/01/2009, -2/+11A new Mario game would be amazing. Seriously, Super Mario Galaxy just felt so fresh! I can't wait :)
- or3n, on 06/01/2009, -3/+12it's totally mario lacrosse.
that or Mario Ping-Pong. - shaunj66, on 06/01/2009, -1/+9Wii Thrust?
- 0tis, on 06/01/2009, -0/+7Mario and Sonic at the Paralympics
- DavidTurnbull, on 06/01/2009, -2/+9Why would Nintendo say no to money?
- FlyinRyan89, on 06/01/2009, -1/+7yea thats digg
- Protoss, on 06/01/2009, -1/+7Have you played Super Mario Galaxy?
- LostOverThere, on 06/01/2009, -2/+7What is wrong with you, sir!
- themastersb, on 06/01/2009, -1/+6Zelda? Well I guess there could be Zelda Tennis.
- GeekNurse, on 06/01/2009, -0/+5I'm not sure why they haven't made a Wii Fit Balance Board that can handle over 330lbs. Aren't they the one's who need it the most?
- kinseyincanada, on 06/01/2009, -0/+5and by confirmed they mean a complete rumor.
- Elranzer, on 06/01/2009, -1/+6Better be a sequel to Super Mario Galaxy or New Super Mario Bros.
Better NOT be a sequel to Mario Tennis, Mario Party, Mario Kart or DDR Mario Mix.
A Square-Enix developed Super Mario RPG 2 would be nice, too. - attractivetb, on 06/01/2009, -2/+7Great article. Very insightful..
- SoulGrub, on 06/01/2009, -3/+7Probably another 3D Mario platformer with some sort of a twist as usual. Sounds good to me.
- inactive, on 06/01/2009, -1/+5I want a rated M Zelda game. And not a drop of sex, M for violence!
- inactive, on 06/01/2009, -0/+4While I agree with you, main staples of characters are what keep the 'core' gamers gaming on their system.
Not all 3rd party games for the wii suck. Most, sure.
The Mario laurels are justified. Mario Galaxy was beautiful, I can't even remotely imagine what they'll do next with him. - bpwrinn, on 06/01/2009, -0/+4And so the E3 headlines began this week, not with a bang, but a rumor.
- imodium, on 06/01/2009, -0/+4Mario and Sonic Go Fishing
- halohunter, on 06/01/2009, -0/+4Wii Motion Plus + Wii Fit = ???
- theaceoface, on 06/01/2009, -0/+4It could be Mario tennis, Mario golf, Mario party, Mario baseball, Mario kart, Mario Strikers, or Dr. Mario
- DavidTurnbull, on 06/01/2009, -0/+4The game is actually Wii Missionary, but I think prophetpimp ironically didn't understand it's a religious game.
- inactive, on 06/01/2009, -1/+5Super Mario Fitness??
Wow. That actually gave me shivers just thinking about it. Thats one childhood I'd rather not see raped to death, thank you very much! (Granted, its already been raped pretty well, but kind of more in a good way in that there has only been a handful of bad 'mario based' games out of a plethora of good ones.) - TangentThought, on 06/01/2009, -3/+6New Mario game? Meh.
New Wii Fit game? Argh... - LostOverThere, on 06/01/2009, -0/+3It isn't, Sega is developing that - not Nintendo.
- lordmike, on 06/01/2009, -0/+3Wii Fit Plus? So, what's the plus? I hear that there will be exercises for seniors on it... Great! Like the wii fit exercises weren't weak enough as it is! Fortunately, there is EA Sports active that has real workouts on it...
- Elranzer, on 06/01/2009, -1/+4Retire Metal Gear and Final Fantasy first.
- sremick, on 06/01/2009, -0/+3How's your Japanese?
- defendliberty, on 06/01/2009, -0/+3EA Sports Active is pretty awesome compared to Wii fit, but in the 4 months I've owned Wii fit, I've dropped 50lbs.
Not because I did the training/games every day. Being aware of my weight, and tracking it on a graph made me say no to sweets, soda, second helpings, etc. - 0tis, on 06/01/2009, -0/+3"It's not for exercise"
- Ashkc88, on 06/01/2009, -1/+4That'd be awesome. Zelda II style. When you enter a temple or run into enemies the camera zooms in and turns on it's side.
- inactive, on 06/01/2009, -0/+3I believe the correct technical term is "*****".
- Recoil, on 06/01/2009, -0/+3You forgot the "5" in the end :P
- inactive, on 06/01/2009, -3/+6new mario game? arent they running out of new environments for mario to explore? maybe he'll actually do some real plumbing this game
- inactive, on 06/01/2009, -0/+2Super Paper Mario Sunshine Tennis Island? How could that NOT kick ass??
There was Super Mario 2, 3 and World, then came Kart, 64 and Galaxy. Lets hope they'll add to this already awesome saga instead of adding to the "never to be mentioned again" list. - Twenty5, on 06/01/2009, -3/+5Lets see how long this is going to last for Nintendo.....
It takes more than just a handful of good first party games to make keep a company going..... People get tired you know?
I mean Sony and Microsoft also rely on some first party IPs to succeed. But along the way new IPs show up to the party... most of them are awesome games too!
Nintendo on the other hand... ehmm... well.... lets see what other accessory/gimmick they release Wii Resort..... Plus none of the third party games released for the Wii are good.
PS. I know. Im getting buried. But you know that the above is true. You just dont want to admit it. - yoshiboy, on 06/01/2009, -0/+2Freud.
- Lanlost, on 06/01/2009, -2/+4You've got to be ***** kidding me. That's it? You could have fit that in a twit or whatever the ***** they are called.
- 0tis, on 06/01/2009, -1/+3I want to admit it. Nintendo need to stop resting on their Mario laurels.
- TheUngod, on 06/01/2009, -0/+2You can still get an M for just violence? Nobody cares about violence anymore. Show a nipple if you want an M instead.
- Arkanok, on 06/01/2009, -1/+3ANOTHER Mario game? So that makes what, 1001 Mario games to date?
Why doesn't he just ***** die already.
I'm sorry, I'm being harsh. In the big N's defense, it's not that they don't care, it's just that they're too lazy to come up with anything new and original. - Traiklin, on 06/01/2009, -0/+23 to start with. With a total of 7 later down the road to enhance the game.
