I can has videogame? - TheRealDj, on 03/17/2008, -5/+70Remember when Miyamoto was supposed to be working on a new franchise...and it turned out to be WiiFit...?
- doshindude, on 03/17/2008, -6/+48Probably either something amazing like Kid Icarus or something Nintendo thinks is amazing (but isn't)....
Nintendo said this last year, and their "big surprise" was a Brawl delay and the supposed "almighty" WiiFit. - AwesomeMonster, on 03/17/2008, -6/+48No more ***** online.... please?
- airwalkery2k, on 03/17/2008, -4/+41Earthbound 2/Mother 3! Please, Nintendo.
- nanded, on 03/17/2008, -0/+35It shouldn't be hard to write, the code would basically go like this
while (1)
{
// Run_nintendogs(dog_graphics);
Run_nintendogs(cat_graphics);
if (get_input())
ignore_input();
if(!(rand()%10)
maul_owner();
} - Flame15, on 03/17/2008, -13/+48Kid Icarus, it's gotta be that.
- kevthecatslayer, on 03/17/2008, -2/+31Animal Crossing?
- Canadacdn, on 03/17/2008, -6/+35I'm willing to bet it's the Virtual Boy 2.
- Pake, on 03/17/2008, -3/+29StarFox
- NaziHatinChimp, on 03/17/2008, -4/+30*their
- JayD16, on 03/17/2008, -3/+29I'm going to go with another Zelda. Twilight Princess was a Gamecube game they decided to push into the Wii launch, after all. They should have had a full Wii Zelda under development for a while now.
- Farmer77, on 03/17/2008, -0/+23Would like to see a new Killer Instinct game get created.
- Shorties, on 03/17/2008, -0/+21Hey thats not Politically Correct! We call them African American Wii's now.
- loganhid, on 03/17/2008, -3/+24It'll probably be Reggie being Happy
- JimmyShakerDay, on 03/17/2008, -0/+20Oh...Mario Paint Wii, maybe...
- inactive, on 03/17/2008, -3/+22DS 2!
- kiiwii, on 03/17/2008, -2/+20It doesn't gotta be that, but I sure hope it is!
Either that, or a new Earthbound title.
Or maybe Pilotwings? - VgRasta, on 03/17/2008, -13/+30I give you a big thumbs down because it is spelt as Mario Kart, not Cart.
- skoles, on 03/17/2008, -0/+17He's going to mention that all Wii owner's should look on the back of their console. There they will see a hidden panel never before noticed. Upon opening that panel reveals a little toggle switch that says "Standard Graphics", to which it is currently set, and the other saying "1080i Super-awesome-mega-extreme-to-the-max-melt-your-face-like-that-Nazi-in-Last-Crusade-and-*****-your-pants-in-excitement-like-when-you-first-saw-Super-Mario-Bros-3-in-The-Wizard-at-Videoarmageddon Graphics Mode! With Super FX graphic chip technology!
- grat2001, on 03/17/2008, -4/+21Something with Mario, DK, or Zelda.
- NaziHatinChimp, on 03/17/2008, -9/+24I bet it'll be there new franchise. They said they would have a new franchise for the Wii like pikmin was for the gamecube.
- majortom1981, on 03/17/2008, -3/+18 Exactly just like Halo 3 right?
- mywhitenoise, on 03/17/2008, -18/+32I'm going to guess that it's another rehash of a 20 year old franchise.
- BlueSkyfish, on 03/17/2008, -4/+18Who cares, it's not until July.
- InitialDMP5, on 03/17/2008, -1/+15which means it will get delayed in October and moved to May of 09, only to get delayed again until November 09.
- DanteDefiance, on 03/17/2008, -6/+19Believe it or not, WiiFit is pretty almighty. It's already sold over a million units in Japan. Don't be surprised if it takes the remaining market by storm.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 03/17/2008, -2/+13Whose to say he wasn't working on more than one project?
- HughesAP, on 03/17/2008, -2/+13Pass up? If you were a Nintendo Fanboy you would know that Square put FF7 on the PS1 because of space on a CD and because of Sony's deep pockets. Also, Nintendo and Square made up and the game Square gave them was FF CC. Nintendo was glad to get FF back on their consoles and even if it was an offshoot game, they didn't care.
- Kr4t05, on 03/17/2008, -0/+11OoT for the DS would be absolutely pimp-a-delic. Yes, I will repeat that. Pimp. A. Delic.
- inactive, on 03/17/2008, -4/+15Mario Party 9!
Realistically speaking, Miyamoto is probably making a Sonic game, that would be cool. - nickj6282, on 03/17/2008, -1/+12If it's new North American Earthbound IP, I'm going to ***** myself.
- Shawn4168, on 03/17/2008, -1/+11Probably not the "big announcement" that they're talking about, but I really think/hope that they'll be announcing a Pikmin 3 this year. The fact that Olimar's in Brawl shows me that Nintendo hasn't forgotten about this awesome little series (although I suppose you could say the same for Kid Icarus).
- reichg, on 03/18/2008, -0/+10zelda would be nice but also i would like a new donkey kong country to make up for the bad 64 version
- Coolmatt49, on 03/17/2008, -0/+10Better graphics, more multimedia functions, downloadable games (ones that can be stored in memory rather than just temporary memory), larger screens, etc. I can see any of these, if not all, going towards a new DS.
As for a "DS 2' it does seem probable. The Nintendo DS came out late 2004 and it is early 2008. - inactive, on 03/17/2008, -3/+13WiiTotalGym
- EtherGnat, on 03/17/2008, -1/+11Just because it's not something you're interested in doesn't make it bad, either.
- carpespasm, on 03/17/2008, -0/+10isn't that what the internet channel is for?
- nickj6282, on 03/17/2008, -0/+9Pikmin kicks ass, that would be fine by me.
- Ndiggnation, on 03/17/2008, -1/+10They ahven't, and probably shouldn't. Would only add licensing fee's which would be added to the Wii's cost. That and if hooked up to an HDTV would probably be not as useful as your average ~$50 DVD upscaling DVD player.
- allengeer, on 03/17/2008, -2/+11Virtual Boy 2, "It's back.... and its Blue"
- talimu, on 03/17/2008, -3/+12Animal Crossing...about effin time.
- foofightrs777, on 03/17/2008, -0/+8Or we could just name every Nintendo franchise. "See, I predicted it.....Nostradamus style"
- Takfam, on 03/17/2008, -0/+8I thought the preferred nomenclature for N's virtual cat project was "Kittendo"?
- macdaddydwj, on 03/17/2008, -0/+8it already has a web browser w/ flash capability
- KingBabi, on 03/17/2008, -2/+10Though I love Nintendo, they do need to do new things with new franchises. I will always be happy with a Zelda or Mario or Meteoid, but that doesn't mean I don't want something in a different vein. Pikmin was cool, but it only made me thirsty for more. Anything different by Nintendo (EAD) can't go wrong in my book.
On the other hand, a new Zelda that takes some cues from other established RPGs (intriguing story, nice cut scenes ala FF/Brawl, voice acting, interaction with everything in the environment, etc), and doesn't follow the exact same dungeon-dungeon-side quest-dungeon-ganon's castle formula would be the greatest. - kinseyincanada, on 03/17/2008, -0/+8yea but the DS is still selling a lot.
- InitialDMP5, on 03/17/2008, -0/+7Wii HomeSchool!
you get a plastic school desk and the TV acts like a virtual chalkboard. You use the Wii remote to answer questions and it even has a handy hall pass feature so you can take a break and use the bathroom! Now the whole family can enjoy learning long division! Recess means fun mini games like jump rope and running around the field outside! You can submit your grades to the Report Card channel and compete for Honor Roll with others online!! - foofightrs777, on 03/17/2008, -1/+8You really don't understand how this industry works do you?
- ArchiTech, on 03/17/2008, -1/+8I miss the music sequencer in Mario Paint... it really sparked my imagination in the world of electronic music... I now play with Logic Studio on my Mac... probably because of Mario Paint. Could be great to spark the musical spirits of a new generation of kids.
