- Shawn4168, on 11/06/2009, -2/+36What a ridiculous article. How about this for a comparison:
PC plus MS Flight Simulator X: $500
Flying lessons plus Boeing 747: $200,000,000
OMG AIRPLANES ARE SUCH A RIPOFF - daviz0, on 11/05/2009, -1/+23this artical sucks and no this is not coming from a wii gamer
- nepidae, on 11/06/2009, -0/+18I buy a new PC each time I get a new game.
- LiamIsOnFire, on 11/05/2009, -4/+19This is one of the worst lists I've seen in a LONG time. There are much bigger rip-off's on the Wii; they re-released Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0 without adding ANYTHING. Can't help but feel they made this just for the sake of having an article to post.
And the throw-away comment about Natal was also stupid. 'Stick to Halo, guys.' Pfft. - mywhitenoise, on 11/05/2009, -0/+14Why do they include the console on the first page, but not on the second? To my knowledge, you still need a Wii to play that ***** WiiFit rip off.
- nepidae, on 11/06/2009, -0/+8its a pretty ***** article
- DrowSwordsman, on 11/06/2009, -0/+5I own a 360 and this article sucks. You can play football by buying a football and going out to your local high school field, same with soccer, etc. So why does anyone buy sports games? *yawn*
You can rag on the Wii but please have a better concept to base your article around. - HughesAP, on 11/05/2009, -1/+5This has to be the dumbest analogies I've heard in a long time. Sure you can buy a Tennis Racket and balls but why not suggest I buy a go kart and race my friends that way? How about suggesting I spend money on a skateboard instead of playing Tony Hawk.
- LiamIsOnFire, on 11/05/2009, -7/+11Are you trying to make yourself sound like a close-minded fanboy?
- clippclop, on 11/06/2009, -0/+3I was curious about that too. I think he decided that you already had a wii from the previous purchas starting on the second page.
- mattyboy555, on 11/06/2009, -2/+5The controllers themseves are expensive.
Wii remote + nunchuk + wii motion plus is at least 100$ a controller. - Jaizu, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2Well that makes 95 $ + taxes in canada :

- buckygrad, on 11/06/2009, -0/+1*article
- Hodor, on 11/06/2009, -0/+1I call's 'em like I see's 'em.
- WhoDoneIt, on 11/06/2009, -1/+2Article is stupid.
But I'll share my two cents with the Wii. I bought it at an inflated price when it first came out. I had a good year with it. Then bought the Wii Board thinking it would be invigorating, how wrong I was. I only ended up buying 15 games at the most. Sure Mario was good, as was Mario Kart. But I haven't touched it for a 8 months, at least.
The other weekend I wanted to play some games. But nothing I had. Started looking at the new PS3 slim. With the Blu-Ray, which I don't really care about, but the ability to use it as a media server was a bonus. Bought 5 games and realize this is the type of gaming I've been missing.
That's not to say I won't buy another Wii game, but the titles are far and few between. I'm not a graphics mean everything type of guy, but I have to admit, comparing Need for Speed SHIFT with any Wii racing title and it gets your heart pumping. - Shawn4168, on 11/06/2009, -1/+2http://www.amazon.com/Wii-Remote-Controller-ninten ...

You're looking at $75 at most, not "at least $100" - mattyboy555, on 11/06/2009, -1/+1amazon.com is an american site.
american.ca is canadian - monodelasno, on 11/06/2009, -0/+0Halo is an xBox exclusive.
- monodelasno, on 11/06/2009, -2/+2Using your logic, if you have kids the Wii isn't a rip off. Since the majority of people have kids at some point, they'll have Wii's.
Sounds like the Wii is a success.
Thanks - icegoddess13, on 11/06/2009, -2/+1INACCURATE!
They did not include the Wii by its self! - dang46, on 11/06/2009, -2/+1Does this look the the cod 4 font to you?
http://static.gamesradar.com/images/mb/GamesRadar/ ... - gibsonic, on 11/06/2009, -5/+3nintendo took a chapter from the printer manufacturers...lure you in with cheap upfront cost for the main unit, but kill you with add-ons/toner replacements.
I recently sent my wife to Office Max to buy toner cartridges for our HP Color LaserJet 1312nfi printer which we bought about a year ago for $299. She even had a $10 coupon for OM. She comes home with 4 toners (black, cyan, magenta, yellow) and a receipt that reads $292...WTF? I should have just junked the old printer and bought a new one!
I didn't mean to get off on that tangent but all the wii add-ons for cheap molded plastic at absorbent prices is yet another reason why i continue to resist getting a wii for the wife and kids, even though the wife is all excited about the new Biggest Loser game...b/c wii fit just isn't enough...or the $60 worth of Biggest Loser workout DVD's she already bought.
/rant - TallestSkil, on 11/06/2009, -3/+12006 called. They want their idiotic console basher back.
- AiR1890, on 11/06/2009, -5/+2I sold my Nintendo Wii a long time ago, and I am glad I did. The only game I really want to play on the wii is the new super mario game. Remember when the 250 wii was considered the cheapest of the systems just a few years ago. Now it is looking like one of the most costly systems.
- twishart, on 11/06/2009, -6/+2The most fun you'll have with a Wii is showing it to someone that's never played it before. And even then, it only lasts for about 20 minutes...
Dugg for horse-hosin'. - Hodor, on 11/05/2009, -9/+4The console?
- deaftly, on 11/06/2009, -8/+21. The Wii itself
- clippclop, on 11/06/2009, -8/+1I see the wii fanboys are out in force today. Maybe it's the fatties with wii fit who think that they are magically going to get in shape by owning the game?
- thespikester, on 11/06/2009, -9/+2What's the betting the author wrote this article, chuckled at his own smugness, and then trotted off to play Halo on his PS3 for the next eight hours... and doesn't own a huge plasma gun?
(is "Halo" still the 'in' thing? Forgive me if I'm behind the times....) - clippclop, on 11/06/2009, -9/+2How is that close-minded? It is his opinion that the Wii sucks. An opinion which I share. There is nothing appealing to me on the wii because 99% of the content is designed for fat people and children. Games of mini games dont appeal to me and the online sucks ass.
The wii sucks. I gave my reasons and so did he. It's not fanboyism, it's stating that the wii sucks. I have yet to get a game on my wii that has convinced me that the purchase was worth it. - clippclop, on 11/06/2009, -9/+1It's not an analogy. For that you automatically get buried.
Buying a skateboard is cheaper than buying a wii and the game, so you lose again.
I know these guys are obviously xbots (last sentence didnt give it away at all), but you cant take more out of the article than "buy this instead of a wii", like go outside. Hell, you can buy a semi decent paint ball gun and go out paint balling a couple times for the price of a 360 or PS3 and a FPS game. You'll get a ***** load more enjoyment as well
/non-analogy but Hughes will think it is one. - gankige, on 11/05/2009, -22/+11The Wii itself sucks unless you have small children, so I'm gonna say the Wii is a rip-off on the whole.
