- nerdherder, on 12/01/2008, -7/+67No Mario Kart? Seriously? These lists of some guys opinion are getting tiresome. Base the top 5 on sales so there is at least a supporting argument.

- nerdherder, on 12/01/2008, -1/+26You play it with friends or by yourself? By yourself its fun for about a week. With friends you can keep coming back to it for years for a good amount of fun.

If you can't find good games for the Wii maybe you should leave your parent's basement occasionally. - inactive, on 12/01/2008, -0/+22even dont I this is what

The argument that the Wii has nothing but Wii Sports is almost older then the system itself. At least next year people like you will be able to add "disk dog" to lists like that. (and thank god people have given up on making jokes about the name "Wii", that got old fast) - tomato1324, on 12/02/2008, -1/+20WHERES MARIO KART?!!
- khaosx2030, on 12/01/2008, -4/+18I think the industry is getting more tiresome and redundant. I'm tired of seeing the same games every generation.
- GamingForever, on 12/01/2008, -3/+16Well, at least Super Smash Bros Brawl is #1!
- Rockkybox, on 12/02/2008, -1/+12San andreas engine, planes and whatnot and the controls from godfather and we have a game of the year right here
- MCA2142, on 12/01/2008, -11/+22This list is terrible. You might fool the ***** in the league office, but you don't fool Jesus. This bush league psyche-out stuff. Laughable, man
- biff198, on 12/01/2008, -1/+12I did 5 find games for mine not as same as list but I like still them.
- Slique22, on 12/02/2008, -1/+11I wouldn't mind playing Gears of War 4 myself either...
- ErrorLoading, on 12/02/2008, -1/+11I treat my Wii as a party system. When friends are over we play it. Simple, quick, and easy to pick up games that my friends who don't game very much can easily pick up and compete with me on. I can't play call of duty with most of my friends, let alone my wife's friends. But, when I want to play by myself and really get immersed, I turn on my 360. They are really different systems. I don't use them for the same purpose.
I just picked up Boom Blox and LOVE it. The single player is kind of short and can get old quick, but the multiplayer has so many modes and hasn't started to get old at all yet. Games like this are what make the Wii worth having. I wish more companies would make good games like this for the Wii instead of porting already crap games from other systems and changing the jump function from a button to moving the controller up. Cheap, lame, and boring. - Serok, on 12/02/2008, -0/+9Mario Galaxy came out in 2007 not 2008
- AZNundercover, on 12/02/2008, -0/+8Mario Kart definitely needs to be up there... Best Online implementation on the Wii to date. I love Smash Bros, but can't get that game online hardly ever.

I see you didn't mention Twilight Princess. It is the same ***** all over again and is very easy, but it's still a good game. - ausoff2, on 12/02/2008, -1/+8Jesus plays Wii. Confirmed.
- djpray2k, on 12/02/2008, -1/+8Mario Kart was disapointing. The rubber banding ruined it. If you are leading and all you get are bannana skins and fake cubes it gets lame when you then get beating at the last by some guy who gets a bullett bill and has spent the whole race in fifth place.
- BreatheRhetoric, on 12/02/2008, -0/+7http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AryF2uvO86Y&NR=1
- Elranzer, on 12/02/2008, -3/+9Mario Kart 64 > other Mario Karts
- porkdanish, on 12/02/2008, -0/+6Galaxy came out in 2007
- TotalHalibut, on 12/02/2008, -8/+14You wanna reward Nintendo for remaking the same game over and over again? No, ***** Mario Kart Wii.
- Jefftheman45, on 12/02/2008, -1/+7Melee was a lot more fun... there just isn't that much different in this game, and I find myself preferring Melee's physics. Not to mention the terrible thing they added commonly known as tripping...
- PeteBeast, on 12/02/2008, -1/+7It's somewhere between November and December of 2007.
- TangentThought, on 12/01/2008, -2/+7Brawl, Galaxy, Kart, Metroid, Zak and Wiki, De Blob, House of the Dead, MegaMan 9, Okami and No More Heroes. Those are the games I have. I'm trying my best not to enforce the "Wii doesn't have many GOOD games" statement, but the more I look at it, the more I know that I'm in denial. (I also own a 360, and PS3)
Digg, what other Wii games do you recommend? And please don't say Animal Crossing, Wii Fit or Wii Music. - smashblu, on 12/02/2008, -2/+7If you think buttonmashing works for Brawl, you obviously don't know how to play it.
- ross., on 12/02/2008, -1/+5Do a top 5 list on a 360 and it would be twice as long? Serious WTF?
- scottinks, on 12/02/2008, -0/+4After playing Jenga on the Wii I have a whole new appreciation for Boom Blox.
- MentalBeaver, on 12/02/2008, -1/+5At least it's all on one page.
- nerdherder, on 12/02/2008, -2/+6Everybody who got clobbered the first time they played it hates it.
- nerdherder, on 12/02/2008, -0/+4Would have said the same thing had you said it about the 360 or ps3. Just with different games. But obviously that wouldn't be said about the 360 since it has a huge library of games compared to the others since it has been out much longer.
- JFitzpatrick, on 12/02/2008, -1/+4I think everyone needs to accept the Wii for what it is.
I've been playing console video games for almost 30 years now and in those 30 years I've -never- had my entire family play the console with me. EVER. This Thanksgiving I took the Wii home and everyone from my 3 year old to my 78 year old grandmother played it. My grandma logged probably 8 hours on the Wii over the holiday weekend.
I'm not saying that it wouldn't be nice to see some more mature and well executed games on the Wii, but in it's niche... the Wii is an absolute powerhouse. I can't imagine my grandma playing the 360 with me. Ever. - Jerrbear1, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3Actually, it launched with the Wii in 2006.
- SpectralSounds, on 12/01/2008, -3/+6Eight year olds, dude.
- skywake, on 12/02/2008, -2/+5I found 10... I also have 3 PS3s so suck on that!
- ruarctb, on 12/02/2008, -2/+5People forget the Wii is not a hardcore gaming machine. Its why it's popular with everyone from a 5 year old up to his grandparents.
Its easy to use and understand with accessible games. - Elranzer, on 12/02/2008, -3/+6Just from my collection, minus the ones you mentioned:
Cooking Mama: Cook Off
Cooking Mama: World Kitchen
Dragon Quest Swords
Elebits
Excite Truck
Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Dungeon
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (though I prefer the GC version)
LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
NiGHTS: Journey into Dreams
Rayman: Raving Rabbids
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
Sonic & the Secret Rings
Super Paper Mario
Tales of Symphonia 2
Trauma Center 1 & 2
Wario Land: Shake It!
WarioWare: Smooth Mooves
...also, I like Animal Crossing...
The majority of these are from EARLY in the Wii's life, back when only a few companies thought the Wii would catch on. Back then, they really tried and made quality stuff. The shovelware all seemed to appear later, when 3rd-party devs realized the Wii was selling.
This works for you because since the good games are older, they can be bought cheaply used from Gamestop or eBay.
(I have about the same amount for Xbox360 and PS3 as well, so I'm not a fanboy). - z0rk, on 12/02/2008, -8/+11The new mario kart was rather boring compared to double dash.
- Seidoger, on 12/02/2008, -3/+6I have to strongly object.
But i guess we all have our opinions, like that person who came up with that top 5.. - Rockkybox, on 12/02/2008, -2/+5You know that with some hombrew thing a crowd of dedicated melee lovers have done everything in their power to transform it back to meele, there are codes for no tripping, less hitstun, higher gravity and even directional airdodging, have a look on smashboards
- Elranzer, on 12/02/2008, -1/+4He wanted to know good Wii games to own in general.
