The Rarest & Most Valuable Nintendo Gamecube Games

racketboy.com — Between the cult following of the corporate brand and the fact the platforms have played underdogs at times (especially the Gamecube), it’s not a surprise that there are some treasures to be found in the Nintendo library. The Gamecube hasn’t been dead for long, but here is a relatively early look at what games are tricky to find for collectors.

  • NinjaJoshy, on 12/19/2008, -1/+4Super Smash Bros Melee is still up there. At gamestop it is going for new prices used and without a case, while at other stores new copies are the same price as they were on release date.
  • TheWilder, on 12/19/2008, -1/+4You would think Nintendo would capitalize on the fact that the Wii can play GameCube games and reprint these titles for their massive install base to purchase. I would rather have that than Nintendo cashing in on Wii ports of games like Pikmin or Mario Tennis.

    Personally, I got into the Cube a bit late, so I was still playing the first one when 2 came out.
    I got the 1st one really cheap, so that's the only good part...

  • chaosblade77, on 12/19/2008, -1/+1I wouldn't say that, a lot of these games are cult classics and niche games, not critically acclaimed games or games that most people would enjoy. There are a few exceptions (Smash Bros Melee, for example).
