- legoalert33, on 11/08/2009, -1/+29Master quest's water dungeon made me almost commit suicide.
- Velocity14, on 11/07/2009, -10/+36I want more OoT-esque Zelda games...
The Wind Waker character design for Link is kind of getting old. I'd much rather have 2D sprites, LTTP-style, than a rehash of the cartoony design I never really fell in love with. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the graphical experimentation, but I find it less aesthetically pleasing over an amount of time as the other styles... Personal opinion, of course... - inactive, on 11/08/2009, -6/+26I recently played OoT and Majora's Mask. Surprisingly (sadly?), they blew the Wii version out of the water in terms of overall fun.
- Dgen_X, on 11/08/2009, -1/+18Wait...a LoZ game is being released in less than a month and this is the first I've heard of it....
I've lost touch....
=( - NightXero, on 11/08/2009, -1/+15rushover is just mad at Dragon Age due to all of these goddamn ads every where.
- Kardde, on 11/08/2009, -1/+15If it has a dungeon you have to play over and over again with a time limit like Phantom Hourglass did, I'm not even gonna bother.
- Shaflugi, on 11/08/2009, -0/+13I love the Wind Waker style, but I don't think it translates very well to the DS. To have good cel-shading, you need to have clean textures, which the DS does not have.
- brendoman, on 11/06/2009, -2/+9I got to play the game at Long Beach Comic Con and I really, really enjoyed it. The dungeon crawling is a blast and the train part of the game is a lot of fun as well.
- RGB0099CC, on 11/08/2009, -1/+8Really? I'm loving the game so far.
- doshindude, on 11/08/2009, -0/+6Phantom Hourglass's control scheme was the absolute worst control scheme ever for a Zelda game, I can't believe they decided to continue with it in another game.
Not to mention PH's story and that STUPID main dungeon you had to complete like, 8 times was just too much in terms of fatal flaws.
Spirit Tracks will fare no better. Phantom Hourglass was the first Zelda I've ever played that I didn't want to finish or ever come back to. I think this game will also fall into that category, which makes me sad because I love Zelda games :( - jman583, on 11/08/2009, -2/+8@theavenger2
I think he was mistakenly talking about the Wii version of OoT and MM. - legoalert33, on 11/08/2009, -0/+6I said master quest not just OoT, they are different.
- rushover, on 11/08/2009, -9/+14It certainly beats the crap out of Dragon Age.
- Cloned, on 11/08/2009, -1/+6I'm playing Phantom Hourglass right now and that ***** bugs me. I have to do the same ***** over again like 6 times and I'm timed! ***** that.
- burrito4891, on 11/08/2009, -1/+6As far as zelda games go, phantom hourglass was not the best. BUT, as far as video games in general go, the zelda series has never dissapointed me. Here's to another adventure!
- dikky, on 11/08/2009, -7/+11I thought the opposite. The cell shading gave the graphics a very clean look. I hated the blocky/blurry look of everything in twilight princess.
- rjbeckjr, on 11/08/2009, -1/+4I would consider getting it, but I was underwhelmed by Phantom Hourglass. Why oh why can't we have a good overworld? Twilight Princess may have had a relatively empty overworld, but there were chests and secrets to spice things up a bit. Also, you're going to have to travel between places, so why not cut this "Using a vehicle for transport" ***** out? All it does is make the game seem bigger than it actually is.
- DJRobX, on 11/08/2009, -1/+3By "wii version" I assume you mean Twilight Princess.
OoT is just classic, it'll be difficult for anything to stand up to it. I hated Majora's Mask at first because I wanted more OoT, but I came back and gave it a chance a few years later and came to appreciate just how clever the time travel aspect of it is.
At least Twilight Princess was a good chapter in the series and attempts to go back to OoT's roots. Unlike Wind Waker. I can live with cel shaded graphics. The game had its moments, but had too few dungeons and tried to make up for it with boring busy work. It's the only Zelda in the series that I absolutely will not play again. I won't put up with that sailng crap!
- Shadic, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2Exactly. I'd kill for a 2D Zelda on the DS that didn't use Touch-Controls. And the new Zelda game for the Wii looks to be using Motion Plus.. Urgh, I'm being quite cautious.
- ArvickHero, on 11/08/2009, -3/+5When I had first heard of this game, I dismissed it as stupid. Seriously, a train?
Now though, it seems pretty good and I think I'll get it. Still irked by the train though :l - dugbay, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1A lot of people bash Twlight Princes, but It took me 100 hours of gameplay to beat and find everything. Its such a huge world and I enjoyed it more then any other Zelda so far. But thats just me.
- jokerslayer, on 11/08/2009, -4/+5More Temple of the Ocean King please.
/s - doshindude, on 11/08/2009, -1/+2Really? When I played it, I thought Master Quest's Water Temple was easier than the original!
- matabiru, on 11/26/2009, -0/+0i really love the legend of zelda
http://psp-go-explore.com - cuervoman914, on 11/08/2009, -3/+3more of the same nintendo. more of the same. pretty weak.
- BradOFarrell, on 11/09/2009, -1/+1Your comment would make more sense if Twilight Princess didn't just come out, and if they weren't already working on a new console Zelda game with the same art style as OoT/TP? How can you complain about wanting more OoT-like games *between* the release of two back to back OoT-like games made by the same dev team?
- bulletbill10, on 11/08/2009, -1/+1The article specifically addressed that point, just so you know. There is a central dungeon, but you get to use an elevator to bypass things you've already beaten.
- ratnacage, on 11/08/2009, -2/+1How so? I have yet to play either, just curious.
- inactive, on 11/08/2009, -4/+3Looks like someone hasn't played Majora's Mask, or has forgotten about it.
The Wii version has too much dungeon crawling, and not enough to do outside of the dungeons.
Majora's Mask has a ton of sidequests and other activities (such as collecting all the masks) which provide enjoyment and fun.
I lik dungeon crawling, but it gets tedious after a while, and it seemed like the Wii version was 90% dungeon crawling. - TheBifman, on 11/08/2009, -5/+2I'm sure it'll kick ass, but wtf kind of name is "Spirit Tracks"? At first glance I thought Nintendo was ditching Mario Kart for a Zelda racer
- kinerry, on 11/08/2009, -7/+3A) it's a handheld sequel, so it's going to be a b-lister
B) wait, every gaming website has talking about it non-stop for months - nard3456, on 11/08/2009, -8/+3They're exactly the same...
- Philbert, on 11/08/2009, -8/+3Wait it's for DS? Screw that.
- Falldog, on 11/08/2009, -11/+1Sorry, but Majora's Mask was *****. It was incredibly poor in comparison to OoT.
And I replayed OoT a year or two back and I had zero issues with the Water Temple. I don't see what the big deal it.
