The son of latino drug lord steals your DS. Your "aunty" lends you a ride to Mexico. She "teaches" you "things" on the way one of which is how to speak Spanish. She then ditches your ass in Tijuana.
You then hitch a ride with a talking bull and you have a "good time" with the bull while it teaches you some more Spanish. The bull then has to be sent off to his death in a bull fight so you have to get out.
Then you run into a drug smuggler who is meeting with the drug lord. He will protect you if you "ride" with him.

Ill recap...a kid is with his mexican friend, lets him play his DS, his friends relative shows up, takes him in the limo, he asks his friend to throw the DS out the window to him. The limo is trailed by two police cars. His aunt just happens to show up in her cab, and drives him to Mexico to find his DS. Yes we had a lot of fun doing the game. It was a tight project, not much time to do it and a limited budget (Value title) and it was a Language learning game, so we decide to have fun doing it with double meaning jokes like Shrek movies. All the texts was made by my colleague, so thx to him for this bizarre story, if you know what I mean :)
For my part, I was the lead designer on the project, I designed the 3 main games, the menu system, the point system and had some influence over the music and sounds.
I work for Humagade, a company located in Quebec City, Canada.
I think that the best aspect of the game is that people who don't understand Spanish can enjoy the game as well as people who wants to learn some Spanish vocabulary.

I think the reality is that someone was told "write a video game to teach kids Spanish" and the response was "I think I'll make this in a way that keeps me, as a programmer, entertained." So far, we have "mexicans are evil reckless bull-killing drug smuggling whores and child molesters".
