Did catch my attention though.
I thought it would be a cool Wii third person Mario shoot 'em up, a full colourful 3D sandbox or something, where you could shoot other players with gunk or something online and with Wii-speak to interact with your friends or shooting party - not with friends codes but if you wanted to add your friends code to a shooting party list (and if the rest of the party agrees) then you join and can upload one of your Mii's to the party to represent yourself.
Oh, and you can go on quests to bag loads of kooper-troopers, grab shells and use a flaming shell on other players or take the golden shell to the top of a hill etc.
