1) Don't force the use of the wiimote in some retarted way (or any way at all)
2) Allow downloadable content some way, or even allow you to buy new disks with music - sofaKing812, on 02/02/2008, -7/+70Hopefully it will have surround sound, unlike some other music game for the Wii. Yeah, ***** you Activision, I want my new disc.
- baddmojoe, on 02/02/2008, -3/+43Wiimote = Tambourine? Cowbell?
- doshindude, on 02/02/2008, -4/+38give it mono sound.
- shaun3000, on 02/02/2008, -3/+35Actually, er, they did. Literally.
- vondrak, on 02/02/2008, -1/+31I hope it's not the trimmed down version like the ps2. I even though character creation isn't the main purpose, it's still fun. Creating a band really adds a lot to the game.
- Brad324, on 02/02/2008, -7/+33how do you cripple a game that requires the graphics of a Ti-83 calculator?
- timlopez, on 02/02/2008, -15/+40Finally I can rock out with my wii out!!!
- Dohko_Xar, on 02/02/2008, -4/+27A bit angry for the delay, but we welcome you with open arms!
- doshindude, on 02/02/2008, -3/+24While I give props to EA/HMX for doing this, I don't think Rock Band on Wii is gonna match up to the 360/PS3 versions due to Nintendo's stubbornness with online content and internal storage.
- bagboyrebel, on 02/02/2008, -0/+20Thank you for your well though out and balanced argument. After careful consideration I have determined that you are a douchbag.
- otakugeek, on 02/02/2008, -0/+17Excuse us for having fun and liking a different genre of music.
- AmICoolNow, on 02/02/2008, -0/+12You're calling us narrow minded while at the same time hating one of the broadest genres of music?
- FXPooky, on 02/02/2008, -16/+28Three cheers for crippled versions of great games!
- musleypope, on 02/02/2008, -0/+12no
- bagboyrebel, on 02/02/2008, -0/+12rhythm games have been around for a long time, so I seriously doubt that they are just now destroying the industry. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they are "*****"
- Ryudo2k9, on 02/02/2008, -2/+13At least learn to spell the word "retarDed" right
- sneakerelph, on 02/02/2008, -1/+12NOWAI?
- incognit0, on 02/02/2008, -0/+11You know it doesn't count if you're not using the kick pedal right?
- xXMetalJesusXx, on 02/02/2008, -2/+13Kinda late...
Many Wii owners (like myself) have other systems. So I bought it already for my PS3. I would have picked it up for the 360, but my PS3 was collecting dust, there are only so many Blu-Ray movies to watch at the moment. - TBobes, on 02/02/2008, -4/+13Wow, this comment is under appreciated.
- ZeroOrDie, on 02/02/2008, -2/+11HOORAY!
- Brad324, on 02/02/2008, -4/+12does anyone care about the scenery in the background? There could be a black border around the music sheet for all I care.
- YellowSnowDemon, on 02/02/2008, -1/+8Initially putting the Wii remote inside the guitar seemed like a great idea; it could only mean cheaper guitars. But since they're charging ***** $60 for it, it's redundant.
- inactive, on 02/02/2008, -4/+11Hip hip!
- phazon88, on 02/02/2008, -1/+8*Stereo sound
- tidu, on 02/02/2008, -2/+9I wiki'ed Autechre.
they suck. - Brad324, on 02/02/2008, -2/+8Judging by this comment, it's clear that you're the fattest person on digg.
- tidu, on 02/02/2008, -0/+6I seriously doubt that you've played Rock Band.
- skyfire1, on 02/02/2008, -0/+6And no one cares.
- inactive, on 02/02/2008, -2/+8I have been putting off on getting Rockband for the other consoles after hearing of all the faulty guitars and what not, let's hope they fixed all the issues in the Wii release
- verkon, on 02/02/2008, -0/+6GH3 controllers better work with it...
Cause I ain't buying no new guitars just because they won't work with rock band no way. - rumorsofdemise, on 02/02/2008, -0/+5http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/rock_band.png
- Mike89, on 02/02/2008, -1/+6The way the Wiimote is used in GH3 is fine, isn't it?
- sleepbox, on 02/02/2008, -0/+5You all will definitely enjoy it!! I gotta say, Rock Band is one of the best local multiplayer experiences of all time. I will say I've spent over $50 on downloadable songs over xbox live and due to the small amount of built-in storage on Wii, many gamers are going to miss out unless Nintendo does something creative to change this.
- HolyChimp, on 02/02/2008, -0/+5They'll be alive for 18 hours or so, so you might want to leave the TV on for them if you go out...
- cheeseron, on 02/02/2008, -0/+4Yeah, it's true, it's just going to be a ps2 port with maybe better textures or something. After all, why make a whole new game when you can just port it?
- mcnasby, on 02/02/2008, -0/+4But isn't that how a developer makes games for the Wii these days... The first thing I thought of when I read this announcement was, "Yay! The Wii will now get the shafted as they simply port the PS2 version of Rock Band!"
- nicko68, on 02/03/2008, -0/+4If Rock Band does the same thing, I assume there won't be any issue with compatibility between guitars on Rock Band and Guitar Hero like there is on the PS3.
- oliash, on 02/02/2008, -0/+4Too late... I have a 360 now.
The wii version will probably suck anyway like the GH3 version. - Kumaku, on 02/02/2008, -2/+6I think it has to do with the force feed back on the guitar. GH3 is a good game, but adding rumble and the clink and clank sounds to the guitar itself is pretty awesome, Wii GH3 is unique in this way.
- mywhitenoise, on 02/02/2008, -0/+4That explains all the other PS2 ports.
- SeriusBlac, on 02/02/2008, -3/+7The Pro Logic II better work for this. Activision still didn't send out the GH3 replacement disc!
- inactive, on 02/02/2008, -0/+4you want a medal?
- TheGrizah, on 02/03/2008, -0/+3I always thought there was a Wii version planned. I remember sometime around mid-summer one of the development team said something about it coming out to all the consoles including Wii, but that the Wii version would come a little after the PS3 and 360 ones. So I guess I never thought it wasn't coming eventually. One thing I would like right now though is seperately sold GH3 Guitars for the wii.
- Giblet2, on 02/02/2008, -0/+3Do you know how much a decent drum set costs?? its like $500 for a POS.
- motang, on 02/02/2008, -1/+4About damn time the PS2 got it, I don't see why the Wii wouldn't!
- merreborn, on 02/02/2008, -3/+6The graphics on the Wii port of GH3 were dreadful. GH1 looked better on the PS2.
Here's hoping Harmonix doesn't do a hack job like neversoft did. - bagboyrebel, on 02/02/2008, -2/+5because graphics are the number one concern in a rhythm game.
