Rock Band Mushroom Drum Pads: nearly too awesome to hit

engadget.com — Until very recently, Rock Band on the Wii was little more than a pipe dream. Still, that didn't stop Jennifer and Vance from whipping up what's likely the hottest Rock Band drum kit mod we've seen to date -- one Mario and friends would unquestionably appreciate.

    Say you saw an article titled: "Microsoft Drops Backwards Compatibility For Vista". To a normal person, this would mean that they have either removed that feature or not included it. To these "hip" people, it means that they just released backwards compatibility for Vista. Exactly the opposite definition.
    And while we're ranting, what's with the swapped "Next" and "Previous" links on some sites, such as icanhascheezburger.com? Next takes you back in time, Previous takes you forward in time. It's backwards!
    And don't get me started on the music kids listen to these days.

    Of course, I've just wasted time replying to you, when I shouldn't have bothered. But, maybe you should try playing one of those games sometime, if you have any interest in video games. You might actually enjoy it. Maybe it'll cheer you up a little. ;)

I thought digg was a news source. These aren't terrible, but they sure as hell aren't worth telling the world about.

  • SSUK, on 04/10/2008, -2/+2The 360 US version of Rock Band is region coded to America, so you're stuck to buy the EU version of Rock Band when inside the EU, which comes in at an RRP of £49.99 ($100), this comes WITHOUT the instruments which you need to buy separate for £129.99 ($260).
    You can, however, buy the PS3 version special edition (including instruments and game) for £85 ($169.99) from America, incur the import tax by her majesty's customs and still be better off in both time and money. (This may work out slightly better for those in countries who do not charge for import tax, and yes, the PS3 is region free.)
