~Jennifer Jean Lee from beholdthemundane.com - mrtracy, on 04/10/2008, -4/+30Now if only the foot pedal was Fire Flower...
- NeoCortex, on 04/10/2008, -1/+17How about a Goomba, since you are constantly stepping on it?
- cw1242, on 04/10/2008, -1/+12What a huge "leap" past the "break" that was. Is anyone else tired of writers trying to make their articles cool by writing after the jump or scroll past the break?
- jimmick, on 04/10/2008, -3/+13What?
Everyone knows you can't touch the poison mushroom - jjpertusch, on 04/10/2008, -0/+7i've probably said this on digg a few times already. i HATE that too. just have a link that says "Read" or "Read more". if you ask me, after the jump worse than any rick roll you can give me.
I think i hate it so much because I feel silly hating it. I mean, its harmless... right? - Nayson, on 04/10/2008, -1/+7I assume they will cost over $9000 in Europe?
- chemdiva, on 04/10/2008, -0/+5I agree, hate that. Maybe because it took me forever to even figure out what writers were talking about when they wrote that - i have a tiny screen and by the time i read "hit the break" i have already scrolled down....
- scott12087, on 04/10/2008, -1/+6Why is all the footage/pictures taken outside?
- nbcaffeine, on 04/10/2008, -0/+5Those damn kids and their rock and roll and their makeout parties
- dood, on 04/10/2008, -0/+5Another "hip" term that's appeared in the "lingo" is "drop." Here's a completely made up example.
Say you saw an article titled: "Microsoft Drops Backwards Compatibility For Vista". To a normal person, this would mean that they have either removed that feature or not included it. To these "hip" people, it means that they just released backwards compatibility for Vista. Exactly the opposite definition.
And while we're ranting, what's with the swapped "Next" and "Previous" links on some sites, such as icanhascheezburger.com? Next takes you back in time, Previous takes you forward in time. It's backwards!
And don't get me started on the music kids listen to these days. - decker12, on 04/10/2008, -0/+4It's a game. Since I enjoy Rainbow Six, that doesn't mean I'm going to train on real guns and go to Iraq to fight the War on Terror.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 04/10/2008, -2/+6You're stupid.
Ha ha burned you good! - ClevelandBrown, on 04/10/2008, -0/+3and you're obviously a good friend of the artist, or you don't like people having their own opinion. I too think that this Drum Kit mod is lacking, you gonna condemn me too? You goddamn asshat.
- deroderugridder, on 04/10/2008, -0/+3***** Harmonix ripping off us Europeans - Boycott RockBand !
- decker12, on 04/10/2008, -0/+3Since Ad Block Pro, I haven't seen ads on any of these websites in a year. For a while I had no idea what they were talking about when they said "after the break" or "after the jump", because with ADP there is no jump or break, the text just continues.
- nickerbocker, on 04/10/2008, -0/+2Because it was such a nice day for a picnic and Rock Band.
- SSUK, on 04/10/2008, -0/+2What the ***** is outside?
- DarkShroud, on 04/10/2008, -5/+7Those are awesome!
- Deathrea, on 04/10/2008, -0/+2...I like to play...
- RedJeans542, on 04/10/2008, -5/+7Party on Wayne...
- SSUK, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1And be delayed by 6 months
- Coffeedemon, on 04/10/2008, -0/+15 bucks worth of paint and a litte effort.
- JRHodes88, on 04/10/2008, -1/+2omg name a price
- thinkart, on 04/10/2008, -2/+3ur stoopid :P
- Sraza, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1Just bury it and move on. Either Ihatenicks is a troll trying to rile you up or he's too slow or ignorant to know this has been said and refuted more times than I can count. And that's just the amount I've read.
- hollismb, on 04/10/2008, -1/+2From the images, they're clearly on a PS3 set. The Wii drums are white, and also, not out yet.
- decker12, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1Nothing says Expert Level Green Grass and High Tides Neil Peart intensity-level ROCKING OUT like a CRAZED rock and roll GOD like a set of cutesy Super Mario World drumpads.
- inactive, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1I'm sorry to have to say this but the whole "virtual musician" thing is too retarded for words.
A circle jerk is more fun and provides a more useful life skill. - inactive, on 04/11/2008, -0/+1took less than 10 comments for a sex joke....sad.
- chonk, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1That would be way more awesome if she was actually playing them.
- NeoTEKK, on 04/10/2008, -1/+2The first step is admittance.
- hollismb, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1Anybody got comments/reviews on gum rubber pads? I'm thinking about ordering some of the rockbanddrumsoft.com gum rubber ones for my QM set, mainly to quiet them down some.
- mlvassallo, on 04/10/2008, -1/+2The video was stupid. The drum design was cool.
- fivex, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1better lighting conditions!
- random19, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1You are the insult master.
- hollismb, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1Seriously? What if I already know how to play guitar, realize that Guitar Hero and Rock Band are just games, that people who don't play instruments can enjoy them, and think they're fun? What then? Are people not supposed to play games they think are fun because you think they're lame?
Of course, I've just wasted time replying to you, when I shouldn't have bothered. But, maybe you should try playing one of those games sometime, if you have any interest in video games. You might actually enjoy it. Maybe it'll cheer you up a little. ;) - ClevelandBrown, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1If there ever was a Rock Band Drum Pad mod that was 'nearly too awesome' to hit, these aren't it. What is this, 'look what I made' show and tell? I thought digg was a news source. These aren't terrible, but they sure as hell aren't worth telling the world about.
- coheedcollapse, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1As far as I know, the Minibosses are not in Rock band, although while I was playing it I was hoping they would be.
- orangester, on 04/10/2008, -3/+4Someone should make a set of Goomba Drum Pads.
- cusoman, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1We already knew Drums + Mario = awesomeness.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=SZqwvjwqwK4 - iceberg1414, on 04/15/2008, -0/+1Geeky and cool - perfect. Right now I am using the drum pads from http://www.drumpads4rockband.com
- adamriggins, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1I'd hit it.
- chrillen, on 04/10/2008, -2/+2WORLDS ARE COLLIDING!
- lissame73, on 04/28/2008, -0/+0thats really cool
- jcaino, on 04/10/2008, -2/+2...drumsticks?
- SSUK, on 04/10/2008, -2/+2The 360 US version of Rock Band is region coded to America, so you're stuck to buy the EU version of Rock Band when inside the EU, which comes in at an RRP of £49.99 ($100), this comes WITHOUT the instruments which you need to buy separate for £129.99 ($260).
You can, however, buy the PS3 version special edition (including instruments and game) for £85 ($169.99) from America, incur the import tax by her majesty's customs and still be better off in both time and money. (This may work out slightly better for those in countries who do not charge for import tax, and yes, the PS3 is region free.)
***** EA, ***** Harmonix. - scott12087, on 04/10/2008, -1/+1"Why is all the footage/are all the pictures taken outside?" sounds too long and drawn out. It also sounds really stupid when you try to say it.
- darkmythos, on 04/11/2008, -0/+0thats freaktastic!!!!1-up!
- nbcaffeine, on 04/10/2008, -1/+1No. my rockband cost $170, which is like 3 euros. Super cheap.
