I agree. The mass amount of save points coupled with your tendency to have enough ammo, as well as Leon's overall ability to handle himself made it un-scary. It did not, however, make it any less fun.

Instead of walking like a tank with a horrible fixed camera (keep your "suspense", I prefer playability) turn, turn, turn, forward, forward, forward etc. you walk and strafe like any other game. The "too many changes to appeal" line is pure BS. It was the best RE hands down. Second highest selling too. It was the first RE to appeal to the "masses" and the first that actually drew me in from beginning to end. That damn knife fight with Krauser though... I hope they get rid of quick actions.
